I have been shopping at Ivory closet for the past few years. Jen, the owner is so welcoming and kind. She hand picks all the pieces in her store and adds new items often. There are always interesting treasures to find. I've bought presents for special occasions and myself regularly. The prices are very reasonable and sometimes surprisingly affordable. My most favorite rainbow necklace and Memphis shirt came from this shop. There is always 901 merch and SO MANY cute accessories like earrings, sunnies, bracelets, necklaces, purses, and shoes! I just love this store! My sister-in-law first introduced me to The Ivory Closet. When she told me about it, I was thinking great yet another store that I am going to become addicted to! For those of you who know me know that I LOVE fashion. I majored in it for goodness sakes! The first time I ventured to The Ivory Closet was on a beautiful Saturday afternoon and I was in the mood to shop. Of course when I walked in I knew I was in trouble....everything that I saw I wanted to buy! I ended up purchasing a cute (could not not purchase) top and some earrings. Being a yelper of course I "checked in" and I saw a coupon for 5% off accessory. And duhhh, I HAD to use it! I have been into the store many many times and have bought something every time! I have to thank my fellow yelpers for turning me on to this place! I'm sometimes overwhelmed by shopping since I have about zero fashion sense and a teacher's clothing budget, but this place has a perfectly-curated selection of cute clothes at totally reasonable prices. LOLA jeans, Tulle tops, and lots of pieces matched with each other so that the fashion clueless (like me) can get an idea of what looks good together. Salespeople are helpful but unobtrusive, and so tolerant of my questions. I went on customer appreciation night and took advantage of the buy one, get one 30% off deal that was running that night. I'll definitely be back when I need to re-invigorate my wardrobe, and I'll also be checking out their store The Attic in Overton Square! read more

The Ivory Closet is AMAZING! Unique, beautiful clothes at affordable prices, and it's all for girls! Conveniently located on Mud Island, I can shop, get my nails done and grab a coffee in one short block. I've found awesome gifts, fun accessories, great beauty products, and cute tops every time I've visited the boutique. Alex and her staff are super friendly and helpful, which I love because I need help putting together outfits! The best part, they carry LOLA jeans, the pull ons that make you look a size smaller! So much to love! The Ivory Closet keeps you young with tons of classic and trendy styles on hand all the time. The store stocks a wide array of goodies to keep you interested. The owner has her own makeup and clothing lines, both of which are stocked in the store (the makeup is amazing!). They keep up with all of the hottest trends and get shipments often enough that coming here more than once a month means you'll still see tons of new stuff every time. They have candles, lotions, perfumes, and bath salts and gels as well as jewelry (they've got charms, statement pieces, vintage looks, everything for nearly every fashion mood you strike). They also carry shoes and handbags. You can get hooked up with anyone on staff for a personal shopping experience (that includes wine and snacks!) and they'll stock a whole room full of clothes and accessories that suit you and your style from both The Ivory Closet and their sister store in Overton Square, The Attic. I can't come in here often though...I literally leave every time having drained my bank accounts. It's that awesome. read more

Well I did think that this store was great. Cute stuff . But after the customer service experience I just had I will never return . I bought a cardigan for almost $80 a few weeks ago without trying it on. I have a chest cast right now and so I was unable to try it on until today and realized it was not a good fit . I came to return and was told I only had 7 days and after 7 days I was SOL. Period. No exchange , no nothing . If you're going to have a crazy return policy and EMAIL it so that the customer doesn't even see the policy at least verbally tell the customer . I am a shopper , I spend lots of money in this area and as I said I will never be back after this experience . Very disappointed. The person working didn't even say they were sorry, didn't offer to try to talk to a manager , nothing . He was rude and arrogant . You may want to change some things around there or your store may stay empty like it was today. read more

Great boutique! I'm happy to see more retail options here. While I can't ever afford to shop anywhere when I can I do like to just stroll down the street and pick a few cute dresses or accessories. This place has the best accessories for sure!! I think I've seen makeup at this location or maybe the Attic too! Overall great boutique, great service and great definitely great selection of items. Love this place. Great service and clothing selection. I no longer live in Memphis, but I still shop online and swing by the store when I'm in town. I get tons of compliments on the clothing and accessories I purchased here and always encourage others to shop here for a unique shopping experience.
