I can't say enough good things about the Jacobs team; they are the best! I live in New York but inherited a house in Monterey which I decided to sell. I visited Monterey to meet real estate agents and decide who to work with. Jen and Joy were my first choice, not only because they brought delicious cookies when they came for our meeting but also because they established a good rapport right off with my tenants who were stressed about having to move and they seemed like the people I would be most at home working with, especially in a long distance relationship. I worked with Jen on the sale of the house. There were a few complications along the way and she was 100% present to handle all of them, resulting in a very quick sale of the house; the closing happened less than 6 weeks from the time the house went on the market. She gave me good advice every step of the way and made life much easier for me by taking care of things that I was not able to deal with from NYC including making sure the house met all the California water & earthquake regulations, arranging a handy man to do some needed work and to get rid of things that needed to be cleared out of the house, and supervising the movers whom I hired to pack up everything else. She even offered to pay for some damage done to the garage roof during the move in order to keep the buyer happy. That seemed above and beyond the call of duty to me so instead we split the cost between us. We live on the peninsula and, after a four-year search of coastal towns, settled on Pacific Grove for our next hometown. Maha came highly recommended to us by a peninsula broker. We began our search in late 2019 and Maha was eager, charming and industrious; she regularly checked in, sent us listings and set up virtual tours via FaceTime. Maha displayed great patience as we worked through our own process of figuring out what we want - whittling through properties, giving her feedback. In March 2020, COVID arrived and as the world went sideways, we thought we would have to suspend our search. Maha however had other ideas and rose above and beyond to keep the dream alive for us. She continued to search for properties and when interesting, she set up appointments back-to-back so we could drive down and make the most of the time we had. At one property, she insisted that the other broker stay outside while we toured on our own in a socially distant and safe manner. It felt crazy to be doing this during a global pandemic, but Maha never missed a beat and adjusted the whole process seamlessly to make it feel not just possible but safe and protected. After multiple drives down, we were ready to give up, but Maha persevered, keeping the faith while ours flagged, ever-positive that our house was right around the corner. And it was.
