Some new, some antique, some classic, some quirky. The owner/manager/employee that was on shift was super pleasant and welcoming. She engaged in conversation and made us feel welcome. The shop is kind of tucked away in a center that you wouldn't really expect to find it in. I hope they do well in the future and are able to get the word out about the store. Needless to say I went back for another 10 candy bars as I found the bourbon and pecan pie was my favorite and I needed more for myself and others. I was specifically looking for a rattlesnake calathea and wasn't having much luck finding one. I reached out to Urban Scout and they had 2 in stock so I asked if he could hold on until 4 pm(about 6 hours after I reached out). I show up at 4 and Ken was working. I mentioned I had reached out about the Calathea and he instantly pulled it out from behind the register. Soooo nice! I was an environmental major in college, and I also collect house plants so the world of plants is super important and exciting to me. Ken was nice enough to not only show me around, but told me a bunch of cool facts about all these plants that I never even knew existed (such as, the rattlesnake calathea spreads out in the day time when its receiving light and will become more vertical as the sun goes down!) I went into the store looking for one specific plant and ended up leaving with 4! The service was enough to keep me coming back until the end of time! I had a great time learning new things and checking out all the beautiful plants. Ken gave me advice on some plant care for the new plants I picked up, and was very enthusiastic with me. This was extra cool because as I mentioned, this field is really important to me and it was totally inspiring to see someone share the same passion. The prices are very reasonable, and honestly lower than a lot of the other speciality plant stores in Reno. I'll 100% be back!

Person working the store was super friendly, even when I knocked over something. :/ luckily it wasn't breakable... ended up leaving with the 4 mugs we wanted! As far as value, you are paying for local artists handcrafted work, you are gonna pay a little bit, but that's absolutely to be expected. This was a very fun store to walk around and browse, I'll be back for sure to finally get my Lake Tahoe wooden poster.
