Nasty espresso pull and the milk had little texture;but they got the split shot and drink temp spot on. This shop has a great feel and the young employees were working hard on a long line of drink orders; they were obviously tense but still friendly. I'll return

Dyersburg was to be our last stop for the day as we popped here for dinner along the drive back east. The restaurant is located right off the Interstate and we had no problem with a space in the corner so that we wouldn't be disturbed. Inside, we were greeted and brought to a table in the corner. Our waitress took the order and then... we waited. My wife actually got to the point of "Okay, if it's not here in 5 more minutes then we go." And the dinner arrived right on the time. We had waited 25 minutes from ordering to eating. Not great. The food was good. Baked trout for my wife and the fried turkey dinner for me. Hey, it's Thanksgiving weekend and I'm not yet turkeyed out. Sadly, they did not put the cranberry relish on the plate which was a clear miss. After dinner, we opted to keep driving to the next Cracker Barrel so there would be less driving tomorrow. Thanks for the good meal but the kitchen needs to get things moving a lot quicker! The paint matches the tables and chairs, with two brown-colored, old-school restaurant booths located in a second room. A western movie plays on the television in the corner, and there are no carryout shelves, no WiFi, no frills. It's not what you come here for. But you will find lots of camo, long beards, and locals engaged in boisterous chatter with heavy southern accents. It's an authentic southern experience. The Saturday morning breakfast rush was just winding down at 8:45 when I walked in and took the only remaining seat. The other 45 spots were taken as the place was packed! It took 30 minutes to get my food, but I hoped it was worth the wait. The loaded hash browns contained a mixture of ham, peppers, onions, and one of my least favorite things - a melted square of despicable American cheese. The potatoes are closer to soggy than crisp which is a cardinal sin in the hash brown game. But the ham was really good. The sausage patties were obviously store bought and very unimpressive, and the biscuits were either picked up at the local grocer or simply underwhelming. The gravy was thick, but the wonderful texture was utterly flavorless. The entire meal was under $10 without the tip, so you get what you pay for. At least it's affordable.
