My husband and I choose The JDK Group to cater our wedding on October 24th 2021 and we were not disappointed! We had the pleasure of working with Lexi from inception to execution and the night could not have turned out better. From the beginning, Lexi was very communicative. She was able to give me answers to all my questions and offered suggestions and alternatives to make sure that we would receive the service we had dreamed of for our wedding while keeping in mind our vision and budget. Lexi and the team were really flexible when needed, problem solved when issues arrived out of their control (on the day of without worrying the bride and groom!), and made sure that everyone was taken care of. The night ran smoothly without much communication with myself or my husband on the day of so we could enjoy the night. We also loved that we were able to work with Chef Jay to create and customize our own dinner menu for the wedding which we really loved. Our family and friends raved about the food! Terrible customer service. During this pandemic they are sitting on thousands of dollars in connection with an event at Allenberry Resort and have been unresponsive when trying to get a resolution for an event that was supposed to happen in June. They even have staffers being unforthcoming about employees who work at JDK vs at Allenberry, adding to confusion. It's during bad times when you can tell if a business is truly good at what they do. A huge disappointment. Food inferior; staff unkind. Witnessed them treat their fellow vendors very poorly also. On a blistering hot day i heard them refuse to provide the photographer with a cup of water. It's a shame because they branded themselves well, but now have a superior attitude for an inferior product. read more

JDK catered a post-wedding event for our daughter and son-in-law. The food was wonderful and there were many comments shared with us to that effect. That beef was simply outstanding! But food aside, the staff did a superb job and the cookie table and other table/serving areas looked beautiful. Two in-home events and a take-out holiday dinner have made me a fan for life! The planning process is both generalized (the event planner gets to know you, your preferences, expectations and the "feel" of the event as well as specific (utensil for that hors d'oeuvre at a standing reception?). Food is delicious and original! Service is as attentive or as non-obtrusive as you direct. Set-up and take-down are efficient, and they can work wonders with table design. On September 21, 2019 our daughter had her wedding at The Bond with Megan Sellers as our coordinator. I can not express what a wonderful job Megan and the staff did to ensure the wedding was perfect. I worked with David and JDK Group for a recent wedding in Mifflinburg, PA at One Barn Farm, and I must say the service, from corresponding through wedding planning, to the week and day of the wedding, David and his team truly blew myself and my team away. I am a wedding planner based in NYC and of course we hold our events to an extremely high standard with the constant pressure to make each event even more perfect than the last. Well I had 0 stress when working with David and what was delivered on the wedding day was well beyond the perfection that I already expect. I do not have enough superlatives and 5 stars is not sufficient to describe my experience with JDK. I am not from PA and not familiar with the vendors in the area. I had a few phone calls with caterers prior to flying to PA to meet with the "short list". Immediately upon meeting Molly, JDK was the only name left on the list. From our first meeting, it was obvious not only that JDK was creative and would present a beautiful Welcome Dinner prior to my son's wedding, but more importantly, I knew Molly and her team at JDK would be a group I could work with remotely. I hired them without ever tasting a morsel of food or seeing one of their events. Let me first say that the quality of the food was exceptional! During the course of the weekend I had guests constantly telling me what they ate and how fantastic it was. The presentation was exceptional! JDK finds ways to elegantly present their food in such creative ways that you can't help but smile when you see it. The JDK staff on site for the event was professional and charming. But that is just where JDK starts. They went so far beyond that! It was the small details which others may not have noticed, but were instrumental in knocking this event out of the park. In our first meeting, it was noted that we had some guests with food allergies. On the night of the event, not only were specific foods labeled appropriately, but we were asked to point out those guests so the staff could steer them appropriately. And speaking of food label tents - Molly had them designed to match my invitations - nice touch! Throughout the evening, staff kept checking on me to not only make sure everything was perfect, but they brought me plates of food knowing that I had not sat down to eat. And those plates had the food items which I had been most excited about during our planning. And at the end of the evening, leftover food was packed up, and divided amongst the bride to be and groom to be's party so they could continue eating later in the evening. At the end of the evening, I thought long and hard to see if any detail had slipped, were there any disappointments, would I have done anything differently? The answers not only are no, no and no, but JDK exceeded every expectation I had and delivered a SPECTACULAR event. Molly gave me a sense of comfort and excitement that my event was the most important thing to her. I also chose to utilize the JDK floral team for my centerpieces. Again, I had a vague idea of what I wanted, ad Erika took my idea and brought it to life. The centerpieces were beautiful and when I walked into the room on the night of the event, it took my breath away. Erika also made arrangements to pick up the centerpieces at the end of the evening, freshen them up and then redeliver them to be used at my post wedding breakfast 2 days later. They looked as beautiful 2 days later and were set up well in advance of my breakfast guest arrivals. Again, I had nothing to worry about and the plan was executed flawlessly. I recommend them without a single moment of hesitation or caveat. Thank you Molly, Erika and the entire JDK team.
