They make you jump through hoops and say might be qualified , Make you get all this paper work to show your in good standing right ? as you should . Then they just pop your check in regular mail . Your thinking your kidding right . NO I am not regular mail . No certification with signature . Then they send it ( even though they have current address ) to a place we lived 5 years ago which is now a drug house . And the people that lived there tried to cash my check . Thank god for my bank intervening on a mobile deposit . I call them about the theft and they basically tell me I have to handle it . DONT EVER Trust them with your money . I am a landlord and I had dispute with my lodger. Lorena in this firm is the best attorney every tenant/lodger is hoping for. The legal advice I got from Lorena is different from what other attorney told me later. The firm charged me more than $750 on just sending a letter to the tenant. And I also have to provide a lot of incentives out of my pocket to encourage the tenant to vacate. In summary, I don't think the firm is doing the best to protect my rights and my interests, but instead, doing the best to protect the rights and interests for my lodger. read more

He is also very practical, so he tries to solve your problems in the simplest ways. This is a quality that everyone should look for in an attorney, especially because you will likely be emotional when trying to sort through the mess. Mr. Jellins is a voice of reason and logic. He is also very courteous; he had never spoken to me or met me before, I was not referred to him, yet he stayed on the phone with me for 40 minutes, talking me through my problem. The advice he gave me was simple and likely saved me thousands of dollars, a lot of time, and a ridiculous amount of stress. If you have landlord/tenant issues, I recommend him. I also discovered, after browsing the Internet for information on him, he is well versed in estate planning and trusts. As someone with children and assets, this is something I've been putting off for a long time, but I think I've finally found an attorney who I've deemed worthy of taking on this task. I've heard the process can be long with a lot of questions and things to think about that most people don't want to imagine, but we will see how smooth the process goes for us with such a capable attorney. If you are a TENANT who received an eviction notice, and found The Jellins Group online, I would be VERY skeptical before calling them. Yes, they replied to my email within hours, asking me to call, and said they were able to schedule a consultation the same day. That alone should make you skeptical because whoever heard of lawyers being so available. When I called, Sean answered and he immediately started trying to get personal information. I had already provided my name and address of apt., but I told him that this was just an inquiry at this point and I do not feel comfortable giving him names, address, phone numbers before I find out what they can help with, how much it will cost, etc. He continued saying he needed the info before he could answer questions to make sure there was not conflict of interest with other parties they may be representing. They already had the address so should know whether or not they are representing the other party (which I knew they were not). At that he put me on hold and when he came back online seemed a bit uncomfortable and said Mr. Jellins would like to talk directly to me. Jellins came on the line and immediately started to strong arm me, in almost a bully way to get the personal information I was not willing to give without being able to ask a few questions first. Finally when he realized I was not going to give him personal info without being to ask the questions, he told me if I didn't give him the personal info, then he could not help me. I said thank you very much and hung up. After I did a little more research I found out that Sean is the receptionist, and if you research enough on Jellins, you will see the reputation he has had over many years in politics in Menlo Park. Today I met with a friend who is an attorney, and she gave me enough valuable information to know what I am up against for the unfair eviction. My personal feeling is Jellins is only interested in the bigger fishes (the owner's who can pay him more), and was just trying to get the info from me so he could contact the owners for possible representation. Kind of like an "ambulance chaser". Why would he want to help the "little" people. read more

Let's see. On the phone came across like an incredible "God complex"lawyer. He spoke in a tone using words that elevated his persona and expertise. Arriving at his office he was impeccably dressed. I now realize he cares more for how he looks and what he wears than perspective clients. Of course his lovely assistant was nice eye candy too. Sitting in his outdated office with large bully mundane furniture should have given me the clue this guy is out on vacation literally. While speaking to him he is staring looking out at the trees which was a big clue on how he operates his business. Go ahead and hire this guy. If he helps you with your case and you win then I am happy for you, but everyone else should just spend their money going to Vegas or hiring a lawyer that cares about their clients. read more
