Full disclosure -- I pretty much only come here on Wednesday's. But, my favorite current Chiropractor is here cracking backs and necks and providing great conversation. The man at the front desk is also always very friendly. I come here after lunch, but before they go to lunch, and usually either go right in, or only have to wait for one person in front of me. Yes, I know that The Joint is kind of like the Starbucks of chiropractory, however, if I can get what I need, and get in and out and do this all at a reasonable price for four visits per month as well, and it also I pay for it with pretax dollars on the HSA, which is always a bonus, why wouldn't I? read more

I have been going to the joint for at least 4 years. I Love love love the Dr's and staff. However, I was very sad and put off today when I saw the hours for the Dr's lunch time was shortened from an hour to 45 min! These Dr's are servicing people all day, and need a full hour lunch!!! I was a hair dresser for years, and when you do a job that is tiring on your own body you need your breaks. Everyone should have a full hour lunch, but especially workers like Chiropractors!!!! I am not sure what warranted this change, but it does not reflect well on management! The Joint's wants to make peoples lives better, but it starts with their employees! My husband and I own our own business and we have learned over 20 years of having employees that if you cherish and treat them well they will reflect it in their work. Not great customer service... at all. 40+ minutes waiting for a walk in appointment, receptionist allowed over 6 people to go IN FRONT OF ME because she said their appointments would be faster than mine so she just wanted to get them out of the way. Not how walk ins work. When approached about the situation her response was "I guess my bad I just didn't want them to have to wait a long time because their appointments would be faster". Excuse me... What? How is my appointment and my time less important that the people the receptionist ALLOWED to go ahead of me despite check in times. Disappointed. I previously have had rough and painful adjustments in the past including one neck adjustment that left me in severe pain for three months. Dr. Washburn has been the answer to my many physical problems. He is the most knowledgeable and gentle chiropractor I have ever known. Everything was peaches until it came time to cancel my membership. I am EXTREAMLY disappointed with how this was handled. After months of paying on my membership and now they want to talk about that TINY little print on the contract?? What happened just to treating people with respect and dignity? Charging me next months fees when were still in the same month? Hummnn?? Is The Joint DESPERATE to keep the doors open here in Arvada?? Plus a two month minimum? Well I had just gotten an adjustment at their new location just south of here on Friday when I clumsily missed a few steps going down the stairs this weekend and sprained my ankle pretty badly. Was able to crutch-in here with less than a 15 minute wait and the chiro immediate asked If I wanted to get my ankle reset. I originally came in cos I knew I through my back out with the fall and it hadn't even dawned on me that he could make me heal quicker! He warned me it would hurt a bit but was super gentle and explained what he was doing the whole time! After the ankle adjustment he took care of my back and hips, then moved me to the chair for the neck adjustment, which is my preferred method! Great overall experience and to top it off they have a $10 off check-in on yelp offer which I totally took advantage of. Oh and they have candy, so that always makes me happy! Dr. Shawn is my go to for any neck and back ailments. I'm healthy and fit but am not exempt from sleeping wrong, tweaking my back or getting out of alignment. As a mom of 2, one being a newborn I'm constantly holding nursing and carrying my baby which throws my body off. I know I can count on Dr.Shawn to realign me and make the pain subside. I've been going to chiropractors since 1994, almost 25 years and I've never been to a worst chiropractor in my life! I've been in pain all night after her adjustments, and readjustments of the same areas. Plus I think they are in HIPA violation when they have people sitting in the same room you're being adjusted in, with your charts up and trying to talk to a doctor. They have a waiting room that is never even used! People watch while you be adjusted. Very strange! I wouldn't want somebody sitting in the same room I'm having a physical in, would you? Now I'm stuck in a $80 payment plan, for at least another month, when they should pay me to have to go to another chiropractor to get the problem that she created fixed! Do not go to this chiropractor! I went back to try to have then fix this problem, and they want me to go get x-rays on my dollar for them hurting me? Never had pain before going to the Joint Chiropractic, now I do. Wondering what they're going to do about it, or should I get an attorney? One day the doc is good the next horrible! read more

The chiropractors are great here but there's always a wait and they send people in to lay on tables while you're on a table. Not a fan of having two guys next to me while talking to the chiropractor and being adjusted. It's enough to keep me from returning to this location. However, again, great chiropractors. read more

I had a good first experience: quick in and out and the provider worked on areas that we discussed. I signed up for the monthly plan (2 month minimum). Second visit was ok but rushed and not really specific to my areas of concern. On my 3rd visit the provider was in a big hurry and actually injured my rib. When I cried out in pain, he really didn't seem to care and just finished up. I told him something popped and it was painful...again, no big deal. The pain got significantly worse that evening and simply breathing was very painful and it was nearly impossible to sleep. I'm not sure if it was a cracked rib, or some sort of dislocation of the rib or cartilage. I went back in the next day and saw some one else who said that he didn't think it was a cracked rib, but that it should be better in a couple of weeks. He said that even if it is a cracked rib, there is really nothing that can be done to fix it except give it time to heal. Still no apology or any real concern. It actually took more than 6 weeks to get better to the point that I can breathe without pain and sleep on my side, but still not 100%. I obviously couldn't use the 4-6 visits that i had already paid for but had expired. there was no offer of a refund, free visits...nothing when I went in to cancel. This is a high volume mill. They make their money by getting as many people through as quickly as possible. They are not really concerned about treating anyone, just getting them signed up/obligated and then get them in and out as quickly as possible. I highly recommend avoiding this place and going to a proper chiropractor with a legitimate practice. read more

Terrible service. To the lady and chiropractor working Tuesday March 22 around 4pm. Very rude. I stated I had been there before and that it had been a couple of years. That they should probably start over. Their response was well your medical records we have to look you up. Now I don't know what kind of medical records they were going to find after five years and two visits. Reception gave attitude and said she was doing her job. Very rude after I said I told you should have started as a new patient. Long story short left and will definitely tell anyone I know not to go there. Which is a lot considering I'm a native to Colorado. Their loss. I will tell you the one on 120th has way friendlier staff. Oh and the paperwork is on a tablet. They all have a great sense of humor over at 120th to. The staff was so nice at 120th that we purchased 2 on going sessions. my infant saw doctor alan for a treatment back in October. at the time his medical issues had not yet been discovered. despite what dr alan advises, and according to doctors handling the care of our infant; infants should not receive skeletal adjustments. consult with your primary doctor first. chiropractors should be held to a higher standard, treatment reports should not be falsified as they were in our case. read more

First, I want to say the Doctors are great. Its the billing/receptionist that needs work. I frequently travel on business and place my monthly billing account on a freeze. This time the front desk person did not follow correct steps and I was billed 2 months w/out using any visits. I understand they pre-bill, so you pay for your visits up front each month whether you use them or not. But I was billed for the 2nd month. I called to rectify and was told that I had to wait until the manager came back from vacation. I asked for the corporate office and was told no I had to wait on that manager to return. They are unable to locate the freeze from I filled out. I also have a voice mail saved from the girl who stated very plainly my account was frozen. I want businesses to understand that with social media being prevalent in this world today, its time to start giving customer service again. Business will continue to fail because people don't want to visit a brick and mortar store that is consistently receiving bad reviews do to their negligent practices with consumers. BEWARE about giving your credit card on file to be billed regularly, it may not stop. read more

I went in to see Dr. Padgett for some long standing knee pain. He did a great job explaining the anatomy and function of the knee. He asked me plenty of questions about the severity of my pain and my history with it. He explained everything he was doing during every step of the adjustment and the rationale for why he was doing it. My knees felt better immediately after the first adjustment. It is obvious that Dr. Padgett truly cares about his patients overall well being. Definitely plan on going back in the future. read more

They will steal your Money. I signed up for a 6 month package they talked me into for a lower rate. About two months into it, I found a new job that was too far away to have the time to come into the chiropractor before they closed. I realized this wasn't their fault so I let my membership continue, thinking it would be cancelled after 6 months ended, it didn't. I ended up paying for 8 months before I called them. I found out I would have to cancel my membership myself, it didn't terminate immediately. So I had only used 2 months of an 8 month service I had already paid for. I asked for the last two months after the 6 months ended to be refunded to me. When I really could have asked for the last 6 months to be refunded considering I wasn't using the service at all. Not only would they not refund me at all, after I had submitted the cancellation, it came back and charged me AGAIN the following month. I have wasted a total of $350 and time and stress out of my life from calling and trying to deal with them. Would really have liked to have set that money on fire instead of allowing to be in the hands of another greedy, inhuman company. ________________________________________ Now that I have had a phone call with the Regional Manager (phone number out of Hawaii) He has agreed to refund me 3 months. HOWEVER, this came after he accused me of not having any accountability for my own actions. Which I had already clearly stated in my conversation with him that I had accepted accountability for not having cancelled my contract (which is falsely advertised as 6 months but actually never ends), but was asking for a refund regardless of this contract due to the fact that yes, I had made a mistake, I should have paid closer attention to what I was signing, because giving me a refund would be the human thing to do. I have taken nothing from them or their business, and they have collected on my error. Not only that, but he accused me of not having accountability for my own actions, AFTER he had already told me that TONS of people have had this exact same problem. Are you kidding me?! TBD on whether or not I receive the refund. Thank you sir, for the insult and wasting 20 minutes of my work day on the phone with you. read more
