I've been coming to The Joint since 2013 and this has to be one of my favorite locations. It's in the same shopping center on the corner of 7200 and Highland as Whole Foods. My turn to get help with back problems. My husband and two of our daughters have been here in the past. Dr. Hendricks was very caring and helpful with my painful back after an accident at the gym. He recommended things I could do to alleviate pain and strengthen my back. They have a minimum two-month membership of four visits for $69/month. Depending on if my back is still hurting or not, I will probably cancel after two months as I usually don't have problems. I filled out several pages of medical/health info, disclosures, etc. I only had to wait about ten minutes to receive an adjustment. They gave me a tag with a bar code for checking in on future visits. There are other chiropractors who work here. The receptionist and waiting area are nice. I will call ahead to check on wait times but don't need to make an appointment. They're open every day which is great for emergencies!! read more

Went in due a mild sore lower back that I believe is related to a car accident a few months back. It was been somewhat persistent but never terrible. I told the chiropractor exactly that and he proceeded to do a quick 5 minute adjustment from my back to my neck. It was odd to me that no X-rays were taken and the adjustment was pretty general but I went with it. The adjustment was actually free for their anniversary celebration, however afterwards they tried to get me on one of their monthly memberships or packages but I declined since they don't take insurance. Fast forward to 3am the next morning I woke up with such excruciating mid back pain that I thought something was wrong my my kidneys. It was so painful that I went to the ER. After 3 hours of tests I was told that my pain was muscular or spinal related. The only thing I can attribute this to is this offices "get them in get them out" type of treatment. My free visit to this chiropractic office is ending up costing thousands in ER bills. If you are looking for some regular quick adjustments then sure, this might be your place but if you are looking for pain relief doe to injury I would stay far away. Look for a private practice instead. read more

This place is more of a subscription/monthly membership to keep your back aligned. They advertise frequent adjustments as a way to live a healthy life. I came in because my back had been in a lot of pain for about 3 weeks. After 2-3 adjustments I felt completely better. However, since I signed up for a membership I continued to go a few more times. Each appointment only lasts 2-5 minutes. I'm not joking. You are in and out FAST. I didn't feel like the extra adjustments were really that beneficial, so I ended up cancelling. Pros: For my minor back problem, they definitely helped. They're affordable. They're fast. Cons: They don't give as much attention as other chiro offices. It isn't as well rounded as other places either. If I had a severe injury, I would not be going here again. If I had something minor like I slept wrong, I would come back here. read more

Do not recommend. Went in with a very specific complaint of L-sided neck pain and my entire spine was manipulated instead of the specific level I needed. I'm now much worse off than I was prior to going in and am barely able to care for my small children due to excruciating pain that increased 10-fold following adjustments. I couldn't imagine going back 'every day for 3-6 days' like they 'prescribed' to help with my discomfort. Wish I could give 0 stars. read more

The doctor was really nice and informative. My husband received an adjustment and was better off for it. However I went in with a specific problem of a pinched nerve in between my shoulder blade and spine. After the initial adjustment things felt a little more loose in spite of being sore. But then things progressively got worse. This is not to say the doctor did anything wrong. He did his job and I signed the wavers. But I think that for any pain specific ailments you should probably see a chiropractor that offers X-rays prior to your adjustment so you don't make things worse. I went in with a dull 4 in my back and now my neck, shoulder and back are all messed up at a solid 7 on the pain the level. So for simple adjustments and regular alignments at a fair price, I can't see why not choosing here. For anything that might be more complicated seek a private practice with more to offer than adjustments. read more

Just got done getting adjusted and i am so impressed with this place. I was in and out within 10 minutes. I was embarrassed at first to go in (it's my day off and i am so sore n look like a total bum) But the hospitality and attitude of the staff made it so comfortable! Also, I didn't feel rushed at all. The woman at the front desk is Just the sweetest thing! And the doctor was so great at what he does. He knew just what to do. My body feels like it's been revamped! It's hard finding a chiropractor that really knows what they are doing and truly puts care and effort into their adjustment session with you and The Joint in Draper does. I absolutely love their main Chiropractor, he truly takes the time to give you what is needed. He also looks at your health as a whole. I just left after getting adjusting and I just sat in my car, feeling SO MUCH relief I felt I absolutely had to tell people how much I love it here. Such major improvements on my health and well-being, and I'm able to move much more easily than before. I highly suggest getting on the Wellness Plan. I love the Joint at Cotton Wood Heights. Dr. Lloyd is wonderful. He really listens to you about what is going on, and explains what the problem is. He also explains what he is doing and how it will help. He is very friendly, and not in a rush to get you in and out of the clinic, but rather takes his time. Who knew that at a walk-in chiropractic clinic you could get such great care!?! The receptionist is also very friendly and knowledgable about the different plans. On my last visit (Saturday), the owner was working the front desk and was very invested in talking with each person who came in. Just had my first treatment at the Joint and I like it. I have had several adjustments in the past, not exactly new to chiropractic care. Several years I had a low back problem and regular Chiropractic treatment got me back on track. This was a great experience; i have not had an adjustment for about a year. Dr. Hendricks is very experienced and got me back in track. No appointment needed, you just stop in. As a new patient, I had to fill out a few forms but then was called back within about 10 min... No bad for a walk-in. This is a pretty simple clinic, they do great work, and awesome price plan. I opted for the monthly membership, for about $50 a month i get 4 treatments a month... Pretty sweet! Called the joint to see if I could get an adjustment. It's a Sunday, so I had to travel to get to one that was open. When I talked to the receptionist, she asked when I would be in. I said within an hour. She told me that they could see me and to come in. I arrived 45 minutes later. The receptionist then told me in a snotty tone that it was too close to closing time and she would be happy to schedule me another appointment. I understand that it is a walk-in clinic, but I don't appreciate her attitude or the fact that I called in advance and was told they would see me. There were not that many people ahead of me. They "prescribe" a certain number of treatments while glossing over the fact that you're actually signing a contract with a 2 month minimum. When it's time to bill you again, they endlessly harass you via phone and email. The receptionist's thin excuse was "it's just the system". Do yourself a favor and just go to a chiropractor your insurance will pay for. The Joint doesn't offer any unique experience that makes the hassle and borderline dishonesty worth it. -- Update, in the 15 minutes since I last corresponded with them via email, they've called again. read more

They have all of the paperwork available online so you can fill it out and bring it in with you, which is great! I went to this place and got an adjustment (I told him no neck work though-that's too freaky for me). Anyways, holy cats, I felt SO much better. As someone who has had extensive chiropractic care on the east coast, I thought the concept of the joint was really cool and would save me some time and money. However, I had horrible success with Dr. Hendricks' adjustments, a problem I've never really encountered with a chiropractor before. Every time I went in, the doctor did the same 4 adjustments without checking my alignment or asking much about symptoms. These adjustments left me feeling uncomfortable and in a fair amount of pain, and have left me with upper back issues that I never had before going in. To me the joint feels like a quick in and out clinic without much attention to individual needs or issues. After a couple tries I had to cancel my membership here. I would not recommend this specific location of the joint. read more
