I've been coming to the Joint Chiropractic for almost 2 years and I've been to this location on Dale Mabry in Carrollwood three times. The entire staff is really awesome! Every time I have come in, I've been greeted and with a warm welcome and made to feel like I've been the most important person who's walked in the door that day :-) Dr Mina has really helped me to be pain free. I was having lower back problems soon after my adjustments and Dr Mina instructed me on an exercise to do three times a day that helps to stretch the muscle surrounding my sciatic nerve and it really helped. For the first time in a long time, I've been able to go to bed without constant lower back pain. In fact, I haven't had any lower back pain since I began to do these exercises. Someone one recommend this place to me because I have been having issues with my lower back and my neck. I have been twice now. The first time was a lot of information gathering so they know your needs and document it in you chart. The first man I had explained everything in detail. Brought out a sample spine so I would understand exactly what he was going to do. I told him I had never been to a chiropractor before and was a bit nervous. I was thankful he was understanding and willing to explain every detail. He also told me that he was going to take it easy on me because it was my first time. I felt instant relief. Today I went for my second adjustment and it was more extensive. I had a different doctor... but she read through my medical information and talked to me first. Asked my about my problem areas and walked me through each step asking me to breathe in and let all the air out... OMG I felt so much better upon leaving. It only took a few minutes. Let me just tell you that this Joint you can't pass or puff but it is quite addictive and it has saved my life. Three years ago I had got into a car accident and was having a lot of trouble with back pain. I was going to a local chiropractor but unfortunately I was not able to make it to her because her hours conflicted with my work schedule. So after a few months of suffering The Joint finally opened. I love that you can walk in any day of the week and get an adjustment without an appointment or any extra fuss like filling out paperwork or participating in any seminars. I have seen maybe about 3 different positions at that particular location but the one who is currently there is Doctor Victor Gomez and he is awesome. He is friendly, knowledgeable, and strong. Called in advance to ensure they took walk ins, but arrived only to wait almost an hour and not get to see the doctor. Clearly they don't have the bandwidth to support walk ins. Advice: If you only have one doctor taking patients you should probably opt for appointment only to avoid making people sit around wasting time. The staff seemed less than concerned that I was waiting around and kind of annoyed that I had to wait so long- the doctor included. I will certainly take my care somewhere else where they value your time. My chiropractor is closed Friday to Sunday. Benttree chiropracticsDr. Rodgers open Monday-Thursday I blew my hip out which is now affecting my knee and ankle. Excited that I could get help on a Saturday. I called to get my paperwork emailed. Great front desk technician. My appointment was at 2:30. I arrived five minutes late with my paperwork ready & filled out, except for one signature. I missed it, figures. I was very clear online ,on the phone before I made the appointment and In my paperwork,the reason for my visit. I patiently waited so that all the regular customers could go, since I am someone new. I insisted, it was my choice taking in the open atmosphere I had no idea he was going to delve so deeply.., publicly into every detail of my medical records. It is now 3:56 and the chiropractor says that he cannot help me. After going over my medical records in public with two other people in the room. I was not expecting that, wow ‍ Although reluctantly & A bit sarcastically argumentative, I did answer his questions. After I use the statement "wow, you're killing me Sal's" he had me get up and follow him outside. I'm in trouble now..,but he's the one discussing the inner lining of my heart issues in front of two other clients. I probably should've read all that paperwork. It might say that they're going to publicly discuss all of our private medical records. BUYER BEWARE I did see him doing everything I needed him to do for me, on other people before me.‍ He says "I am beyond his scope of his expertise, so sorry to send me out not able to walk on my left leg, he only does spine" even though he did not speak it, I would bet he was in fear that he would give me a stroke. I waited to write this review after I came for a few visits. I can't thank Dr. Mina for what he has done for me. He gave me my body and life back to be able to meet my 4 year old where she is at with her energy. I started here with a really bad hip and bad shoulders. After just a few weeks i started feeling back to myself and now i am fully back to myself!!! I'm not in constant pain or having issues. I come in to get my adjustment and I leave feeling even better than when I walked in. I don't go for any pain now!!! I go to make sure it stays away. During this uncertain and very stressful time now, please make sure you get outside for some sun, exercise and go visit Dr. Ben. I am not a doctor, but all these are truly helping me now. He is taking extra precautions to take care of himself, his coworkers and of course his clients during this time. I have read all the other reviews and in general I agree that this place is efficient and great if you are not experiencing anything acute. The receptionist was very nice and the chiropractor was very professional if somewhat abrupt. It was obvious when I was there that this model works great for a lot of people. I personally was experiencing some pain and having an issue and they just are not set up to take the time with those kinds of patients. It was very rushed and I got a definite "you are bothering me" feel from the chiropractor I worked with initially. He became visible frustrated when I didn't understand where and how he wanted me to stand for the mobility tests. Follow up care seemed more like a suggestion " if I wanted to do something I could ice". Still experiencing pain the next day I went back. It was then I realized I should have been icing as I was too tender to be adjusted. Was hoping for a better attitude from the female chiropractor but she also did not seem to have the time to deal with any issues. In closing, great place for maintenance care but I wouldn't recommend if you are experiencing anything acute. Went to a private practice chiropractor today. It was definitely more expensive but I felt heard and left with some relief of my pain and a clear plan going forward. You get what you pay for I guess. read more

I've seen a lot of Chiropractors due to multiple car accidents and the connective tissue inflammation I experience having Hashimoto's Thyroiditis but I've never seen anyone better than Dr. Gomez. His adjustments are full body, thorough, and I stay in alignment longer with his adjustments than with any other Chiro I've seen in the past. I renewed my membership and see him weekly, now. It's unfortunate that there are negative reviews posted here about Dr. Gomez/The Joint that are purely related to people not paying attention to the contract they signed rather than real problems with the establishment or the docs because they are great! In addition, I don't know of any insurance company that allows weekly adjustments for $69/month ($10 if you need extras) so stating that "insurance is better" is just false. I went to the joint with sciatica in my leg. They advertise an initial visit for $29 and then talked me into signing up for a membership for $69 a month. I discovered that the first visit did not count toward the membership and I was charged $98 for the 1st month. I did not go back at all during the 2nd month, so I went in to cancel my membership. They charged me for a third month and showed me the fine print that says 30 day notice is required to cancel. You would be better off with a legitimate chiropractor read more
