The portable buzzers alow you to order at the window and then park yourself on your picnic rug enjoying the sun or the cool breeze while lying under the shady trees while you wait for your order to be ready. The coffee is great as are the toasted sandwiches and cakes. There are kid friendly options if you have the little people in tow and plenty of outdoor seating or you can park on the grass so no need to worry about mess! Unfortunately the local wildlife can be a little friendly (remember you are in a big park), but if you shoo them away you'll be fine!

The decor is simple and as expected from the description on its webpage is inspired by the manga One Piece. Artworks and small manga artifacts abound and it is certainly entertaining to observe how they have been placed through the cafe. It's an amazingly quirky place and certainly entertaining and clever. The menu is broadly divided into breakfast/brunch, burgers and poke. My companion and I both ordered poke bowls, which can be varied by the addition of brown or white rice, or coleslaw or quinoa/kale. We tried both the salmon and spicy tuna, me the spicy tuna and my companion the salmon salmon (they call it that on the menu). Presentation is very good, the ingredients fresh and tasty including pickled seaweed, edamame and avocado and more. Though the tuna poke is called "spicy" those who are not so keen should not be put off as it's quite mild and a different touch tempered by incorporation of creamy mayo. The salmon bowl is beautiful to look at. The salmon was as fresh as a daisy and all ingredients on the menu were there including lovely thin slivers of bean curd which added fantastic texture. The bowls were really enjoyable. Though we didn't try the burger selection it is extensive, and from observation those served at other table were equally interesting to look at. We also saw an ice cream sundae delivered to another table and it looked incredible. I'll have that next time. Nice touches include ice cylinders (instead of cubes), and sparkling water served with the long black coffee ordered after the meal. The courtyard area out the back is lovely. We were shown to our table quickly and given time to look over their delicious sounding menu. They offer breakfast for most of the day, and lunch from late morning, so there's a lot to choose from, but I decided to go with the Two Cheese Beef Burger, but just asked them to hold the brie. The mix of pickled onions and English mustard, gave it a nice punch and a distinctive difference to other burgers out there. The fries with it were spot on; perfectly cooked and tasty. I will say, however, that another reviewer (or two) were right when they said the brioche buns were dry and crumbly. I really wish restaurants and cafes would give you the option of a bun. I don't like brioche buns (mainly because I don't like sweet and savoury together), because they CAN be dry, and this is the part where the meal let us down just slightly. With that all said, I really recommend Turning Point for either breakfast, lunch or brunch. Parking CAN be brutal (it's right outside a train station), though yesterday there were cars pulling in and out of spaces, so you can be lucky. It's worth it though, because the food is good and I cannot wait to come back and try other items they have on offer (which can also extend to their cabinet of treats near the cash register where they sell items to go, if you wish ...).

The fritters were a tour de force, if a touch under seasoned before Twosheds took to them with the gourmet salt. Companion's scrambled eggs were beautiful too, but the bread came without butter - a bit annoying. Bloody Mary was super strong.
