It made me feel incredibly relaxed so much so that I think I genuinely forgot about my hair! The girl that did my hair was absolutely lovely, if a little shy but I had no reason to think she didn't know what she was doing. I was first handed a booklet of different head massages which I asked if I could choose one as part of the deal but I was told I'd have to pay extra so I politely said I'd go without in hind-sight I should have questioned but to be honest I'd forgotten what the description of the wowcher was. The luxury head massage was just conditioner and 2 minutes of massage. She asked me briefly at the beginning what I'd like doing to which I said a couple of inches off and a few layers putting in. After washing she just got on with it, there was no question of is this enough? would you like anymore off? I didn't see my hair cut at all as it was taken down my back the whole time and I was so lethargic after sitting in the seat for around 90 minutes that I didn't really say anything. When I got home the ends of my hair were all over the shop, I don't think much of it was straight at all. One bit was almost an inch longer than the rest and the front was noticeably longer as it had all been taken down my back and not down the sides. She didn't even check it herself thinking about it and since I've had to cut the noticeably longer bits myself, granted I said I only wanted a small amount of layers putting through but you can't notice them at all. Its a good job I have long hair because if it was short I think I'd be really upset. It's a real shame because I thought the salon was beautiful and until I noticed what a mess my hair was in I would have been a returning customer.

They use lovely hair products when washing your hair, throwing in a head massage while they're at it. Pampered and relaxed, you return to the chair while your stylist gets to work. I've often found hairdressers natter away when all I want to do is read a magazine- but at Bliss they let you sit there in silence if you so wish! Of course you can chat if you want, but sometimes I just want to unwind and read a bit. My hair looked great afterwards, I loved the cut and style and I've returned on several occasions for a repeat cut.

The down side is I also had Paul and he cocked my hair up big time I'd even taken a photo in which was girly and whispy and beautiful, what i walked out with was a mullet with wings. Very, very upset and stated so at the time I had £10 knocked off, I thought I should have not paid for that haircut at all what's more they should have rectified it for free too. I had to go really short to get rid of the mistake and I wore a hat for two weeks!!! The lady I use now is Emma she's fantastic but it costs a bomb to have her though I know I'm not going to get a duff haircut again. If it wasn't for Paul I would have given Bliss 5 stars.

I regularly have my hair cut and coloured and am always happy with the results. They also have an excellent beauty therapist on site offering a wide range of treatments. The salon is bright and breezy inside, despite the outside impressions. It is well equipped and well maintained. There is limited parking across on the street, but this can be full most times. There is additional pay and display car parks within walking distance. I find the stylists quick and efficient, and the prices are excellent. They include you in conversation and readily offer tea and coffee. I usually can get an appointment with in a quick timeframe, which is better than other hairdressers in the area.
