Have used The Keyhole several times over the past 5-7 years. For safes, they are the best in town! Even if you don't buy the safe from them, they will come out and install it where you want (within reason!) and even affix if to the floor (if desired) for a very reasonable fee. Who knew that there was a locksmith in town who'd also go out of his way to work on your car? Someone recently broke into my truck and stole my stereo... this was accomplished by pushing the passenger-side lock cylinder into the door of my truck. I originally thought it was pulled out, but not until calling this guy to get a rekeying estimate did I consider that it might have been otherwise. He offered to take apart the door and check so we wouldn't have to pay for new parts. That didn't work out as hoped, so he had to put the door back together, wait for me to get the part in, then rekey and install the part. But he only charged me about $10 more than he originally quoted me on the door to do all the labor twice. The rekey was mad cheap, too. We were expecting a lot of money and got the whole ordeal finished up for like $65. The whole staff is friendly, and they really go out of their way to help you and save you extra repair costs. And they're fast. I took my truck in around 4 p.m. and I swear it only took 45 minutes before I picked it up, good as new. Super helpful. I think I might buy them a fruit basket. :D read more

Elderly woman that works there was incredibly rude. I went in asking for an electronic lock for my safe and she scoffed at me and asked what the hell makes me think that I have the ability to change a lock like that. I was shocked and asked her not to be rude. She said I'll just have to wait for her son to get back. I told her I was going to just take my business elsewhere. She scoffed again and said "good." Maybe the part of their crew that goes out on calls is much more professional than the employees in store... I went into the store to have a few copies of a key made and the woman behind the counter was SO RUDE! As soon as I showed her the key she proceeded to take the key and complain about what a "foreign piece of crap" it was- the ENTIRE time she was making a copy of the key. I was flabbergasted. Maybe with a little bit of tact she could have sold me a better lock, instead she lost a customer and gained a 1 star review. read more

I'm really torn between 3 and 4 stars, wish there was a 3.5 option. Honestly I would've given 4 stars but it was really the delay in response that made it a little less stellar service for me. Called early Saturday afternoon but had to wait till they almost closed before I got a call-back. I had a storage unit lock in which the key broke off. My technician was Chris and he was very down to earth and knowledgeable about his trade. Since he did not show up with a dremel tool, I was initially skeptical about how much more he could do to get the key extracted. My wife and I had already attempted multiple times with pocket knives, tweezers, and a set of extraction picks to loosen the broken key without luck. But Chris was super tenacious and was able to pry the arm of the lock open by using leverage against the key hole with his set of picks. I was so impressed I gave him about $30 dollars extra, especially since he cut himself in the process. Great effort and really nice guy! I would recommend this company but just beware you may have a lengthy delay if you call before noon. read more
