The rest of the shop had all the standard $2 shop type objects. There were fake flowers, bracelets and necklaces for only $4 as well as a large variety of home objects such as tupperware containers and sponges. The store is quite large and is completely packed full of objects at really low prices. There were a few tacky objects but in this kind of shop its expected. The staff were hard at work when I went in but the lady at the counter was quite helpful and friendly.

They range from ramshackle junk shops to over-the-top high end show rooms. Angelucci sits somewhere in the middle, and that suits me just fine. The furniture here is sourced form all over the world so there's influences from a number of countries and eras, but mostly it all fits neatly in to the "midcentury minimalist" style bracket. We had been on the hunt for a glass front cabinet to store an extensive ceramic collection and couldn't find exactly what we were after. That was until one evening we were walking home from having a glass of wine on Gertrude Street and a grand cabinet from inside the Angelucci window caught our eye. We both said "that's the one!" and visited the next day to see if it was in our price bracket. Angelucci prices their furniture fairly and we were lucky to be visiting during a sale time when there was a few hundred dollars off our item. Including a two-man delivery (absolutely necessary due to the size) we paid $2100 for a teak 1930's Dutch Colonial cabinet made in Java. The team here are super friendly and worked hard to fit in with our moving schedule so we could have the cabinet delivered when we were available. A stark, light filled white space wreathed by lipstick red on the building's outer shell; Rred instantly pushes the focus onto its' stock and it's stock alone. All this is generally supplemented by the sounds of indie-electro-pop-alternative, depending on the day and season, which is as good a reflection of the clothing on offer's style as anything else. As for the clothes, Rred produces only a few simple basic clothes designs each season, but makes them with one off or limited run textiles and fabrics, so there's only a couple of each particular garment. Annoyingly, many of the clothes are often 'one size fits all' with all the usual ambiguity as to what exactly that size is, but the stiffer fabrics are generally utilised for the looser cuts and stretchy fabric for the tighter fitting items. There's also a rack of retro/secondhand clothes that throws out some real finds. Among the things that Rred does best is shoes, with a range of boots and/or footwear each season in a wide range of colours, but often themed around a similar, modern-idea-of-an-old-time-y-cobbler's-work aesthetic. Bohemio also carries a large range of woven lamps, interesting table lamps and wood artefacts. Oriental inspired bedside tables, buffets and chests finished in black offer a Chinoiserie chic while stone travelling budha scultures and an eclectic array of art adds to the bohemian attraction. I've never been a huge fan of this style of décor but for those that love it, Bohemio will be like a dream come true. The staff are casual, helpful and do not discriminate so shopping here should be a nice experience. I did however see some oriental lanterns that I fancied but with a house full of décor and the need to move in the near future, I was able to compose myself and not buy them.

This gorgeous little shop is a treasure trove of yarns, fabrics and imported knitting pattern books. The staff are lovely and their expertise will help you in making the right selection.
