First off, do not listen to the negative review above. That person needs to get real.Their advertisement clearly states "starting at $299". You should know better that if your eyesight is anything worse than slightly imperfect that you are going to pay more. I gave a 5 star rating because my experience was great from the moment I called in to ask about lasik all the way to my last appointment. The staff were some of the friendliest people I have ever met, and certainly top the list in terms of my experience with healthcare staff. Alphonso and Javier were the ones who examined my eyes with many exams to ensure confidence in the vision numbers and their perfectionism are exactly what you want when dealing with a procedure like lasik. Dr Wu the eye doctor laid out his opinion of my eyes and explained everything with ease and sincerity. Afterwards Adrian was so helpful in explaining my options and pricing. You don't feel like you are being "sold" anything. They genuinely sound like they want to help you. My vision was terrible, especially my astigmatism which was over a 3 cylinder. My contacts were expensive being in the extended power ranges and were not comfortable anymore for years now. They gave it to me straight saying I do qualify for lasik but that my corneas were slightly thinner than normal so there is room to fix my myopia and astigmatism this time around, but there would be no room for touch ups as I get older since Im only 26 and my vision may or may not change still. Unlike my wife who got her eyes done here a month prior, her corneas were nice and thick so she could get lasik twice no problem in her life. There was a new, and more expensive option that involved implantable lenses and lasik and Dr Wu was very explanatory and honest about the pros and cons of both options. I ended up going with the implantable lenses option even though that meant spending quite a bit more money. However my vision is perfect now and if it declines when I get older, which knowing my luck and genes it will, I have room for touch ups still. If I had gone the cheap way I would have to go back to contacts or glasses with no option for lasik again because I wouldn't have enough cornea left. I want to say good bye to corrective wear for as long as possible until I'm old and have to worry about cataracts anyways. I decided not to be cheap to safe a couple grand and regret it later. Getting this done was the best decision of my life. Im very happy with my choice, and if you are wondering about lasik I have no hesitation recommending this place to start your journey. I've shopped around before for lasik and these guys had the best care and great pricing which is why I chose them for my wife and I. Can you find cheaper options, probably. Better care? I think you would be hard pressed to match their care, knowledge, and friendliness any where else. I had a wonderful experience here from beginning to end. The staff here was incredible. They are kind, caring, and extremely professional. Initially, I was nervous, but after meeting everyone and having a detailed explanation of the process, my mind was at ease. They made sure no stone was left unturned and were incredibly thorough with the examinations. No questions were ever left unanswered. The surgery itself was completed in less than 15 mins. 45 mins after the procedure, they tested my vision to see how I was doing, and I already was seeing 20/20!! On top of that, there was virtually no down time. I was back to my normal routine the following day and driving with perfect vision. It truly has been a life changing experience. The quality of your vision can very much so effect your quality of life and I am beyond thrilled. I debated having this surgery for over a decade and I did my research before choosing this company and location. If you are debating, don't debate any longer, this IS the best possible place you can go. I wrote a comment shortly after my eye surgery about a year and a half ago but I thought I should to write another one in order to give yelp and Lasik Vision Institute of El Paso, an update. My positive comments have not changed since then but only with a greater appreciation of my vision and my experience with the staff of Lasik Vision Institute. They have been focus (pardon the pun) on my needs and my sight. They have always welcomed me to their offices and I have seen their wonderful welcoming with other patients just like they have with me. I actually enjoy going in to get my eyes checked and to greet the doctors, assistances and the office staff. They know what they are doing. The doctor's knowledge and conversations are confident, detailed, and friendly. The eye surgeon is well experienced and it's apparent that they stay up-to-date with the latest equipment and the excellent eye care that they want for their patients. I went to have Lasik surgery on my eyes so I wouldn't need reading glasses anymore. The staff there was very attentive and friendly, the exams were explained in detail. My left eye would of been $220 and my right eye was more due to astigmatism. The procedure was explained thoroughly and that I would have the monovision Lasik. When the doctor came in and examined me he explained that I had the start of cataracts and that I could have the Lasik now but he recommended that I wait until the cataracts are larger and then my insurance would be able to help pay for the Lasik Surgery, because doing the Lasik now would just be a waste of money. I appreciate the fact that he was honest with me and that he put the patient first before money. read more

If you are considering LASIK, do it!! I am still in awe of my experience with the LASIK Vision Institute in El Paso, TX. I called on a Tuesday to get information and by that Friday, my LASIK was done. I have always had horrible vision, with my latest contact prescription of -7 and -7.25. After lasik, I now have 20/15 vision! I'm so happy to not only have extremely perfect vision, but to never have to put contacts in or glasses on again! All of the staff were incredibly friendly and answered all of my questions (most of which they answered before I even had to ask). I don't even know how to begin. The LASIK Vision Institute in El Paso is AMAZING!!! The staff is the best that I have ever dealt with in any situation.
