    Hookah time! :)
    Mark D.

We stopped by this hookah place while visiting Detroit. We have been to two other hookah places in the Detroit area, and this is our favorite to date. We stopped it at 4 pm, so it was quiet and relaxed. The hookahs were about $12, which is cheaper than other places we have been. We had a good time. The mint lemonade was delicious, and the Ashta ice cream was AMAZING!!! I would highly suggest visiting this place and trying the above mentioned items!

Great interior setting immediately giving you a sense of welcome. There are two waiters attached to our table and they checked every few mins to see if we were ok. The meal was awesome and not pricey. The hookah was dope and fresh. Great experience I wish they open a similar place around Ann Arbor!

What. An. Experience. I'll disclaim that I'm not from Dearborn but California so there isn't a lot of places like this that I'm used to. Let's start off with the meal itself. If was wonderful - I'd say the best way to think about this is the entirety of the dining experience and not just the food portion. From the moment you walk in, everything is personalized (personalized menu, dedicated wait staff (Hassan Ayoub), food preferences, etc.). There are a few menu add ons, which I wasn't aware of when I first sat down like the new Lamb Chops and Ashta. The hookah was top quality with more flavors than the neighborhood Baskin Robbins aka 31. Course after course the food was beautifully presented with speciality plates designed to please the eye and keep food a certain temperature/consistency, the balance of the flavors were impeccable, and the pairing of the hookahs with the food we ordered was spot on. The servers could answer questions about any part of the meal (where the food was sourced from, who cooked it in the kitchen, and the lifetime experience of the master sushi chef) Dessert was a smorgasbord of delights. The new Fresh Waffles has every childhood chocolate experience perfectly placed on the waffles. If your sweet tooth is deep, you can't go wrong with the Lava Cake. The moment you stick your fork touches this chocolate delight, your taste buds experience a roller coasters of childhood emotions. All in all, be prepared to spend at least 3-4 hours and with Hassan Ayoub you will walk away with a unique dining experience

I haven't been to a hookah spot in a very long time.. like I trust no one to make it properly. But behold a place that makes your Hookah correctly, they have detox waters, they have TVs to catch the game and great food! I'm in heaven! The booths are comfy, they have a button that you can tap for your server to attend to you. They also have a patio if you were thinking about a hot summer night but you wanted a fire pit feel... the menu has a pretty good variety so you won't have to bring take out back to the hookah spot. I think it's worthy for a date night and a chill spot!

This was probably the most elaborate hookah bar I've been to! From a large selection of sushi to a variety middle eastern cuisines and more, lava had exceptional service and a delightful ambiance. I'll definitely be back when I'm in the area. Hamze was an amazing server! Very nice and well mannered.

Had their delicious bbq chicken potato crunch salad and their avocado smoothie. Will add onto this review after we try their whole deboned chicken with rice and hummus for dinner tonight After dinner, must say the hummus, rice, and deboned chicken was delicious. Believe the rice might have been under cooked by a little but not too noticeable.

My first night out for hookah. This place had everything going for itself from the music to the ambience to the service n obvi the hookah. The variety of food is also great with good portions . One of our friends ordered a carrot juice which was really nice for being a juice :) We had a nice experience on a Friday night with us getting the tables within 5 mins. Look forward to going back again :)) This time I would want to sit on the couch side.

What a night, sitting on the patio, with my boys, smoking Nirgila, singing Happy birthday about a dozen times, looking at beautiful people, where Lambo's and Raries are in the parking lot. To finish it off, a delicious all beef hot dog. The host is amazing, I love you Moe!!! Thanks for a great night, this is my new spot. Papa Bear

My go to place for hookah and dinner! You can catch me here at least twice a week! Best hookah in town and by far one of my favorite places to eat! Everything from wraps to sushi is exquisite. The service is outstanding and they will go out of their way to accommodate to the best of their ability. 11/10 would recommend. I LAV Lava ;)

I am often asked for recommendations from out-of-towners, and after my first and likely my last visit, I will never recommend Don V as an option, for women smokers, in particular. Upon entry, I noticed about five men all sitting together close to the door. No one spoke, but everyone looked at me as if I didn't belong there. I had no idea who worked there among the group, but assumed there was at least one because no one was at the cash register or in the humidor. I went inside the anyway to select a cigar and waited for an employee to join me. A gentleman quickly came in and ask me if I needed any assistance. There were about twenty different facings, most of them were empty. I settled on something safe and proceeded to the cash register to pay and absorbent markup on what should have been a $13 cigar. The employee did ask me if I wanted to purchase anything to drink. There was a cooler of sofa drinks available for purchase. I declined and proceeded to an empty section in the lounge. Both the Chicken Kabob Dinner and Shawarma Platter came with two sides : we chose fattoush salad, Greek salad, and grilled vegetables. The grilled vegetables were done really well, and the shawarma platter was enjoyable.
