The young lady that has taken my order each time was professional, patient, knowledgeable and has gotten my order correct is time. They carry a sweet potato roll that is savory, naturally sweet and an unique sushi option. The standard California Roll is available as well as some that are speciality like a Las Vegas roll that mashes us spicy Mayo, jalapeños and a flavorful deep friend outside. Love coming here when we visit from LA. They have great desserts. My favorite is the rice pudding, seriously authentic and delicious!! We came here on a very nice evening and sat on the patio and it was really nice. A bonus is when you check in and you spend at least $30 you get free lava cake. The cake itself is really good, it doesn't need all the extra stuff that comes with it (whipped cream, syrup). Highly recommend it! read more

We stopped by this hookah place while visiting Detroit. We have been to two other hookah places in the Detroit area, and this is our favorite to date. We stopped it at 4 pm, so it was quiet and relaxed. The hookahs were about $12, which is cheaper than other places we have been. We had a good time. What. An. Experience. I'll disclaim that I'm not from Dearborn but California so there isn't a lot of places like this that I'm used to. Let's start off with the meal itself. If was wonderful - I'd say the best way to think about this is the entirety of the dining experience and not just the food portion. From the moment you walk in, everything is personalized (personalized menu, dedicated wait staff (Hassan Ayoub), food preferences, etc.). There are a few menu add ons, which I wasn't aware of when I first sat down like the new Lamb Chops and Ashta. The hookah was top quality with more flavors than the neighborhood Baskin Robbins aka 31. Course after course the food was beautifully presented with speciality plates designed to please the eye and keep food a certain temperature/consistency, the balance of the flavors were impeccable, and the pairing of the hookahs with the food we ordered was spot on. The servers could answer questions about any part of the meal (where the food was sourced from, who cooked it in the kitchen, and the lifetime experience of the master sushi chef) Dessert was a smorgasbord of delights. The new Fresh Waffles has every childhood chocolate experience perfectly placed on the waffles. If your sweet tooth is deep, you can't go wrong with the Lava Cake. My favorite lounge in all the city. The waitstaff and the quality of the food is top notch. I love that they offer sushi, and honestly the best tasting sushi in the city, hands down. I haven't been to a hookah spot in a very long time.. like I trust no one to make it properly. But behold a place that makes your Hookah correctly, they have detox waters, they have TVs to catch the game and great food! I'm in heaven! The booths are comfy, they have a button that you can tap for your server to attend to you. They also have a patio if you were thinking about a hot summer night but you wanted a fire pit feel... the menu has a pretty good variety so you won't have to bring take out back to the hookah spot. Updating my review due to the tremendous positive customer service I received from the owner after my last review. I was contacted directly and offered a gift card to give the restaurant a second chance which I don't usually give after a bad experience on the first visit. If I could I would give for the owner's eagerness to "make it right" I would! I appreciate him showing concern for his business's image and it's patrons. I only wish more businesses cared as much during this time when customer service is at its lowest ever almost anywhere you go these days. The experience I had with the owner is enough for an upgrade to the highest honor. Although Lava Lounge 2 doesn't offer sushi I was able to order it here and have it brought over from the Lava Lounge. Where do they do that?!! Here! I only hope the quality and deliciousness of the sushi will measure up as well. I would have loved to eat in the restaurant and enjoy the upbeat lively atmosphere but I just can't tolerate the smoke. One of our friends ordered a carrot juice which was really nice for being a juice :) We had a nice experience on a Friday night with us getting the tables within 5 mins. Horrible service, horrible food, horrible hookah....waited over 15 minutes until I got up walked to the front to ask for our waitress, saw her chatting it up with her co workers, we ordered 3 appetizers and 2 dinner entrées everything came out separately 1 at a time 10 minute between each. 1 appetizers didn't even come out my friends dinner came out 10 minutes before mine and when my dinner came out the guy set in down in-front of a empty seat across from me and tried walking away until i kindly asked him to pass it to me. when we asked about our appetizer they decided to tell us they were out, if we didn't ask nothing would of been said. Beef shawarma was flavorless rice horrible beef tenderloin wasn't no tenderloin so over cooked couldn't even chew it... Tabbouli salad was bitter ....ordered hookah and never received a second round of charcoal and when we asked for it they said the person who serves it left how did he leave before even making his rounds to people who ordered hookah...and they acted like couldn't just bring out charcoal...there's no communication between the kitchen and the servers or the waitresses in regards to their customers orders not being fulfilled. But you can find all the employees hanging out chatting it up instead of checking on the waiting customers. Overall 0/10 on everything there save yourself the time and money just go somewhere else ! By far, one of the very best hookah lounges in Dearborn. It's more than a hookah bar, they have a huge menu a the food tastes just great. Service can use a bit of an improvement, and they're always packed on weekends, so it's a little tricky if you walk in with big groups, but once you sit and settle, the experience is perfecto! The biggest advantage of this place, is you get to sit on the patio even though there is a snow storm outside! They have a large website, isolated, heated and just amazing! Hookahs are great, well made, always clean and fresh, and their shisha heads are perfect. Food is always good, I have tried different dishes and it never disappoints. Went there on a Wednesday night (around 9pm) not realizing how busy it was. There was a party going on, so I understood the 2 staff members responsible to take care of them wouldn't help us. My friends and I waited 42 minutes to be helped. Other customers who came in after us were being helped. We were still patient. I wanted to see if their customer service would improve. I smiled and waved at 3 other staff members who were standing, but they looked away. I called to one more person and she said "sorry, you're just going to have to wait." Finally, at 9:42 the person who seated us came and asked if we were helped yet. I said "no, we've waited 42 mins and we also noticed that people were waited before us." She shrugged and said "I mean, look, we're busy. Sorry about that." She took our order, and it came in fairly quickly. Darn right I won't come back here again. Save your time and money. read more

My friend wanted to come here for sushi, I was a little worried because it wasn't the traditional Japanese restaurant. When we got there it was a strange mix. One side of the place was more of a hookah lounge, the other private booths, and the middle was dining tables. They had Middle eastern food as well as a sushi menu. So a lot of the options were not raw sushi like most people like but they had some options. We ordered and then we waited.... and waited and waited some more. I can say it was the longest I have ever waited for a meal before. I think it was about a little over an hour and a half after we ordered for the food to come out. We asked the waitress why so long, and I guess there is only one guy back there that is making the sushi and he was backed up. So when we actually got to eat, it was actually pretty good but it could be because I was starving. Needless to say, It was better than I was expecting. Being in Dearborn for the first time visiting a friend, she suggested we try some amazing food at a hookah lounge. Knowing the hookah lounges in NYC, I was definitely against going. My friend insisted, we went. We were sat down and a waiter came to ask what we liked to drink then took our order. Our food came at a timely manner, which we were thankful for because we were definitely starving. I ordered the cheese pizza and honestly, it was great! I'm very picky about my pizza and this one definitely was worth it. Now, for the service. Amazing. Our waiter was definitely so kind. Their rice was hard and stale tasting. If you ask for a roll to not have a certain item in it don't bother bc they will make it the way they want. Also don't be fooled by the description that says 8 pieces a roll bc I was like wow that's expensive but it's 8 pieces so it's worth it we'll it's not. The pieces were so tiny that my little 6 year old needed 3 rolls just to be be somewhat full. On top of all that the sushi itself was just bad, not kind of good just bad tasting to the point we didn't finish our order and for a family that loves sushi that's a rare thing. I've ordered from this place many times. I always stress the fact that I want extra ranch with my salad and honestly not once have I received extra ranch if I wasn't the one picking up the ordered and made sure they handed me extra ranch. Today I had a friend pick up my food after a long day and workout and I received ZERO ranch with my salad or on the side. A salad with NO dressing this is the second time I received no dressing with my salad. Probably won't order again even though I love their food. I came here during Ramadan for iftar, there Buffett was like $16 I believe, they had lentil soup, pasta, chicken legs, rice, salad, and galaba drink. It did not taste good, and the Buffett area was small and unorganized. So if u plan on coming don't come durning ramadan if u will break your fast here. Anyways, there prices are still high. They charge $1 or $2 for a water bottle. What place charges for water? They have Tim hortons coffee and a small cup costs $2, more then how much an original small cup at Tim hortons cost. There setting area is nice n spacey, and the outside patio is really nice.
