Just the one strip in the front. Yes I can provide pictures upon request. Also they will only accept payment by giving them access to your checking account for electronic payment Very Bad. If you can afford $80.oo for less than 10 minutes actual work and one tiny strip of grass. They might be for You. But if your on a low fixed income and can't afford $480.oo an hour lawn care. Yet, I was consistently disappointed at the upkeep considering we were paying for bimonthly maintenance. Tall weeds growing through pavers, repeatedly dead native plants (like lantana), overgrown bushes, exposed sprinkler lines, cut sprinkler lines sticking out of the ground and not repaired, and a sprinkler system completely turned off just to offer some examples. After two years of having to completely replace our plants (and not due to the freezes) and repeated attempts to work with Chris to get our maintenance on track, I finally gave up. However, we have to give the Texas State Roofing Company a 1 star on communications. Their communications can best be summed up as horrible. We had them install two roofs. One on our home here in town and also one at our other house 125 miles away. We heard the doorbell ring at 7 a.m. one morning at our in-town home. Five men were standing around on our lawn. We had no idea who they were or why they were at our house. Of the five men, not one spoke English. I finally figured out who they were after one of them called his english speaking supervisor and I spoke with him and he told me it was the roofing crew. No one had let us know they were coming that day. I had not taken down the security cameras or anything. The 5 man crew did excellent work but I do not speak Spanish and I had several questions that I would like to have had answered. The supervisor, who could speak Spanish, would show up for a couple of minutes once a day and then leave. I would never know when he was going to be there. I would even be home sometimes when he showed up but would miss him because he would not let me know he was outside. He actually got mad at me for wanting to have questions answered (I am not a roofer and had a few questions). His attitude got worse with the out of town house. The man said he would call me and let me know what day the roofing crew would be at the out-of-town house. I got a call the day before and drove 125 miles to meet them and take down the security cameras and unlock the yard gates so they could get their truck and trailer in. They were to arrived at 11 a.m. At noon, I began to get concerned as no one had showed up. At 1 p.m., they still were not there. At 3 p.m., I called the supervisor. No one knew where the crew was. They called around and could not locate the crew. No one had called me from the company. Finally, late in the day, they said they had finally located the crew and they were still in the Corpus Christi area and would not get to our house for several days. I drove back to my home, having driven 250 miles round trip for nothing. I had to make another 250 mile round trip later. I stayed at the out-of-town house while the crew worked. It was the same crew with no one that could speak English. I wanted to talk to the supervisor about several things at the house. He would show up once a day for a few minutes and leave without making his presence known. Moreover, this individual became very testy with me. I love the hand driven shingle nails and the material used but hated the lack of communication. If you can avoid that particular supervisor and nail down exact dates and times, I would highly recommend Texas State Roofers.

We purchased a brand-new gate from them less than a year ago, and the fire exit door is already not working properly. These doors are extremely heavy, and during installation I specifically questioned the hinges they were using. I even showed them another heavy door on our property with heavy-duty hinges and asked if they could use something similar. I was assured that the hinges they installed were more than capable of handling the weight and that they stood behind them. Less than two months after installation, S&G had to come back out and adjust the doors. Now we're having problems again. There were also unfinished details from the original installation. When they installed the door handles, they left visible weld holes in the doors and never came back to fill or cover them. For a brand-new custom gate, I don't think that's acceptable workmanship. I've been trying to get this resolved since June. I've spoken directly with their main service agent, Cody, and my contractor has contacted them numerous times as well. Their own office staff confirmed that their notes show we've been calling since June. It's now August, and after months of calls and follow-ups, we're still getting the runaround with no resolution. That's the most frustrating part: I actually love the gate and fence they built. The finished product looks great overall. But when you're spending money on a brand-new gate--especially one that includes a fire exit door--you expect the company to stand behind its work and correct installation issues. Great-looking gate and fence, but unfortunately the customer service, attention to finishing details, and follow-through after they get paid have been extremely disappointing.
