However, things that were requested to be done were completely ignored including drainage issues that are now damaging portions of the project that was reworked. I have now been waiting 9 months for the drawings and care instructions that I paid for to be remitted to me. When I contacted the owner, I was told it would be at least another 2 weeks. Even though he promised them to me months ago. Beautiful Landscaping & Construction was contracted by a remediation company to come in and put the…read morepieces back together after a multilevel flood in my home. The project manager said that Anthony had done good work in the past and was confident in his skill level. But it got to a point where I wouldn't allow his crew to return. The owner of the restoration company asked if I would give Anthony a second chance to come in and complete the tile work. The bathroom floor was straightforward and came out good. But the kitchen was a bit more complex and about 1/4 needs to be torn out. I actually had to explain edging and bullnose tile to him. The pictures are just a small representation of what they considered to be finished work...they had packed up and removed their equipment. I was speechless. There was wall paint all over my cabinets and molding, molding paint all over the ceiling and walls, and gobs of joint compound. The demo crew set up a plastic containment barrier. When it was removed, Anthony's crew painted over the adhesive residue left from the tape. A breakfast nook escaped damage except for a 6-8 inch stain on the ceiling. Instead of using stain blocker, the crew slapped joint compound on the stain and painted over it without sanding. In addition to being sloppy, they clearly do not have the skill to work in old homes. Additionally, they took down the motion sensor to the security system, lost half of the unit, and hung up what was remaining. No one recalls touching it - that's a $350 replacement and installation cost. They also covered my Corian sink in paint, lost the paint covered garbage disposal stopper, used my mop bucket and left it behind covered in crap, and let tons of construction debris pile up in a pantry sink that has 114 year old pipes. The restoration company had their demo guys come in to try and clean up the mess, but unfortunately the ceilings need major remediation and I have to hire someone else to come in to clean up the poor caulking and painting. Work time was already extended at least 1 week because of mistakes and sloppiness. I got the distinct impression that Anthony was juggling a lot. Judging from the reviews, he should drop construction from his business model and focus on the landscaping.

Harry the owner was extremely friendly, humble, and motivated, and was ready to get started the next day. All the other companies we had gotten estimates from were unbelievably overpriced, and not willing to start right away. I was concerned about damage to my lawn from the bobcat carrying the heavy wood to replace the wall. Not only was there no damage at all, but they cleaned up and took away all the rotted wood. They were done and gone in one day. The wall is now stable with new wood, and sure to last. He wasn't pushy or arrogant, and took the time to explain things without rushing. Santiago landscaping will get any future patio, wall, stone, or paver work I might have.
