I'm extremely unhappy with the experience I received with this company. I was truly looking forward to partnering with a company that was local in preparing meals for me and my family. I spent over $200 in ordering meals, snacks, desserts, everything. I placed an order Sunday morning but did not receive my order until Wednesday even though they were advertising on their Facebook page on Sunday "place an order by today to receive your delivery by Monday" I thought no big deal, I'll let it go. About an hour before my order arrives I received a phone call asking if I wanted to purchase another cooler, because "there was so much stuff it all didn't fit" I said no I did not want to pay another $10 for a cooler and I can put my own on my doorstep. Then the food got delivered. I received a phone call from the same woman telling me that there was an issue with the fact I didn't put ice in my cooler (even though I'm home), so the driver didn't know what to do. Instead he placed the bag of food on top of the cardboard box that is being called a cooler by this company. At this point I just laughed. So I brought the food inside and started unpacking everything only to find mistakes. I was missing a buffalo chicken wrap, I was given an extra chicken Parm, my pizza was smushed because it was packed on the bottom of the "cooler" and I had no sides for any of my family meals and I was given a few large meals instead of the medium sized I ordered. I accidentally called after hours so I left a voicemail informing them of the problem. I received a call today and was informed that the the mistakes would be fixed and delivered. No big deal I guess. Then I received my package to find my sides and a sad egg burrito mislabeled as my buffalo wrap. So I called the company back to explain again and was argued with the fact they were different and was credited $6 back. A local, healthy version of a takeout place. This place is amazing for strict calorie counters, like myself. Everything is made fresh, reasonably priced, low calorie, and with the nutritional facts (such as calories, carbs, etc.) listed on the food containers. You can create your own "lean box", which is either four 8oz meals for $16 or six 8oz meals for $21. You can also buy the same meals individually in bigger sizes (12oz and 24 oz) if the 8oz portion is too small. Their menu is organized in basic categories like breakfast, chicken, beef, and seafood. I was impressed that they offered vegetarian and Paleo categories as well. I order my food from the website, which is quick and convenient. I've been the lucky recipient of many Lean Box entrees and there wasn't a single one I didn't like. Their food is so good! One thing though, sometimes I get hypertension headaches from too much sodium. I had to slow down because some of the meals were too salty for me. Amazing concept. My wife and I just started purchasing meals in bulk from The Lean Box and having them dropped off (free of charge) at a gym that's on my way home from work. The pickup process was too easy. We haven't tried a meal we haven't liked yet. We had been on an eating out binge lately and after some failed attempts to prepare our own meals, I think The Lean Box may have saved us. Locally made fresh every 4 days and the nutrition facts are conveniently right on the box. All the meals I've purchased so far just require a 90 second nuke in the microwave and they're good to eat. Another unexpected benefit - we have very little pots, pans, or dishes to clean now. I can think of so many people this service could benefit. Especially older folks that have a difficult time prepping meals or don't have transportation. It looks like they will deliver to your house for an additional charge. read more

Ok . Here is an update : still no call back but once I ate the food and experienced how fresh it was I cannot stop ordering . They have a lot of varieties.
