The Learning Experience River City is absolutely amazing! The teachers Ms. Patricia, Ms. Corriona and Ms. Hayden have made my little angels transition into this center seamless. This has been the BEST educational experience thus far. The location is very clean, and everyone is so friendly. My daughter is 2 and is reaching all of her milestones! We are extremely happy we chose TLE - River City as our daycare facility. As a first-time mom, I was not fond of the idea of daycare and didn't know what to expect. After looking at options and reading reviews, we made the first appointment at this site. I am so grateful we met Ms. Kristie that day! I could feel her joy and passion for what she does immediately, and an indescribable sense of relief came over me (I shed a few tears). She solidified our decision that day even though we looked at another option for comparison. We were still pregnant and told her it was a girl and she mentioned "she's going to my little diva". They have been besties ever since and baby girl knows when she sees Ms. Kristie in the mornings. Our baby has been attending for almost 3 months and here are other things we like and appreciate. Great communication through newsletters, emails and the app. They have great activities, events and celebrations for the kids that we, as parents can participate in (like picking out outfits for spirit week or helping with Valentine's cards). The extra security measure requiring key fobs to get in is a plus as well as pictures, feeding and activity updates several times a day. Ms. Kaitlynn clearly stays on top of arrivals in the afternoons because baby girl is always packed up and ready to go. Our pick-up time varies so the fact that she's always ready is awesome and truly shows she's paying attention. All of the staff is genuinely nice and warm, you are greeted at reception, in the hallways, etc. and we feel like our baby is in good hands no matter who is caring for her. From day one, we've had an amazing experience at TLE. The experienced teachers in the Infant A room, are wonderful caregivers and truly make me feel comfortable and confident that my little girl will have a great day, every day she is there. Let's just say I use to love bringing my daughter to TLE (rivercity) when the leadership and facility was under Ms Jackie! The energy, atmosphere, and entire surrounding was vibrant and welcoming. Since Ms. Jackie has departed ways from the facility- the new Director is not the same. Dont get me wrong because I am aware of different leadership styles. As a mother, I find it very disrespectful for a director to look at her watch when parents bring their children inside the facility close to 9am. I've witness this myself and was disgusted! TLE is not a cheap location for your child to attend but the new leadership is more concerned with being there by 9am as to "are you okay" I work extremely hard to ensure my daughter receives the best care and school curriculum but I am not satisfied or pleased with the new leadership. I really can't speak highly enough of this daycare. Our son is 2 and has been attending TLE since he was 10 weeks old. He's had amazing teachers all along the way. He loves his teachers Ms. Teresa and Ms. Maegen. He's a super active kid and they really take the time to keep him occupied and learning at a fast pace. My daughters teachers Miss Krystal and Miss Johanie in Toddler A Class are absolutely Amazing!!! My daughter has a history or Febrile Seizures and they are so attentive to her always checking on her making sure she's doing well. We removed our 2yo child from this school and it was the best decision we've made. Let me first say this place is exceptionally clean. The administration staff is caring and kind. And were very willing to listen to my concerns. The issue is with the teachers. I witnessed them yelling and clapping their hands in a 2 year olds face chanting "no one wants to hear you cry, stop crying". The child was shamed and belittled in front of everyone while she sobbed in tears. Also, my out-going 2 year old spent 2 months there and never spoke of her teacher by name. Where we relocated from she chatted about her teacher all the time. When we moved her from TLE to the new center she told me she like Mrs. Maria on the 2nd day. Dropping off was never smooth. My child and I would walk into the class, the teachers would not acknowledge me or my child- Even during her first week. I would set her up for breakfast and say bye and watch through the window. She was on her own to eat breakfast on her own. No help, no comfort, no compassion for a new 2 yo. There were other issues, like the teachers unable to speak proper English and would use slang/half words. Their "best teacher" was one who didn't even say hello when we came into the room. Hands down best early childhood education center in Jacksonville... and we have tried out and toured many. I could go on and on but here are the highlights. 1. My 4 year old son is reading... and loves it! He is adding and subtracting and still has another year before he goes into Kindergarten. 2. My daughter entered Kindergarten prepared for not only what she needed to know for Kindergarten but was well above her class. 3. The owners and teachers love my kids as if they were their own and my children walk into this school everyday excited and smiling and excited to learn. 4. Ms. Allison and Ms. Annie are the best and are ALWAYS available. If you want top notch education in a loving environment, I would HIGHLY recommend TLE. read more

Negative vibe from initial phone call. Was really hoping to have TLE be the place for my child... website is great, very informative, and inviting. Staff contact debunked my initial impression sadly. Just negative vibe when speaking to Allison during tour scheduling. Also spoke to Ms. Jasmine, she was kind and very helpful but had to clear information through Allison everytime we spoke. Seemed as though there was no leeway in accommodating a 10 minute tour according to Ms. Allison because they are extremely busy which I completely understand...however, an establishment should have the ability to accommodate prospective families ...this is basic to running any business...a set weekly tour schedule coupled with designated tour guide maybe - or simply keep your word . It's basic business principles. I called and confirmed with Ms. Allison time window SHE would prefer on a Thurs, called that Friday to confirm and times had changed because window just didn't work any longer. Who does that?.... This was my first impression of the operation they (TLE) runs... thank goodness I don't have a necessity for daycare, more so...seek to socialize my 1 year old.... but won't do it here. read more

We have been so happy with this school. The programming is top notch. Our little one has been learning about countries, states, marvelous math, make believe boulevard (a room devoted to pretending), Spanish, and even yoga. Our little one has been stimulated, challenged, and continues to grow! We feel good about the incoming transition to kindergarten. read more

I am really disappointed with this school, everytime my son has a problem, instead of resolving it they scalate it even more. They cannot control a 5 y/o boy with a small level of autism. Just today, I was called and was told that my son is uncontrollable and I need to pick him up, once at the center, he is at a front office and I am told that my son is hurting teachers and the director even throwing his shoes at her. The child does not behave as such at home, and it seems that he controls at least three adults at the center. Finally, I am told he won't be able to come to school until everything is resolved. I wonder if I have to miss work are they going to pay me back? Do not take your kids here, they only care about your money not your children. read more

This place was a Godsend to our family. We had been to multiple centers before TLE but had never really been happy with the experience . We got our two children ( a girl and boy, now 6 and 4) into TLE immediately upon the center opening and they continued their until my transfer from Jacksonville. The center is super clean and security is top notch. The staff are all family to my children and loved them like their own. My son is a year from starting kindergarten because of his age but thanks to the curriculum at this center people who meet us assume he and my daughter are twins because of his vocabulary and socialization. We always had excellent communication with the staff and any time their was even the smallest thing with a child or staff we were notified instantly. I see a few less than stellar reviews on here for them and in kinda flabbergasted because every single thing we have ever experienced with this center was amazing. I was constantly deployed and my wife worked full time. The Learning Experience made things so much easier for my peace of mind because at least I knew my children were in a safe and wonderful environment and my wife had true assistance with the day to day life of being a military spouse and working mother. Leaving TLE upon my transfer was like leaving family. read more

This daycare has fallen apart since my son started. The communication is poor. I get a notice that my son drank 2 bottles but all 4 are empty upon pick up. Same thing with his food intake. Today I walked in and he was sleeping on a mat on the floor because the class had too many babies.....???? read more

My two boys love their school. When I was pregnant with my first, I told my husband I wanted a "school" not a day care. TLE's curriculum and lesson plans are amazing. As a teacher myself, I feel that my boys are getting the basics that they need to be successful in thier future academics. Their food program is also great. I know that they will get healthy, well balanced meals while there. The best part is they have so much fun! My boys are so well loved by everyone there. We transferred our son to this facility after touring it. It appears nice and clean and organized. So, you think that the staff and owners have everything together. Not the case... Our son had over 9 different teachers in a 6-month spell. The staff view this a job and not a career so if your child is above or below what the class is teaching you are stuck. Our son began to act out in the classroom and at first the school attempted to work with us. We even started therapy with our child to help him through the process. The school said that they would work with us but instead they kicked our child out of school. Which btw is completely illegal. The next place we took our child to was staff with all educators with degrees and even PhDs. We found out that this new school that it is a fact that kicking a child out of a preschool is illegal. What was even more interesting is that other children at this new school were also from TLE. Our child never acted out again at school. Be very leery of any chain type "education" your child is just a number to them and at the end of the day they do not care as long as they get money. read more
