I've had two children go through the daycare and elementary and when they transitioned to different schools they were well ahead of there classmates. Lastly regarding racial issues, as a black male I have not seen any issues regarding racial discrimination. The school is strict with discipline. If your child has multiple discipline issues they may not be allowed to return, but I've seen this happen to children of all races during my TWO children time there. Honestly I agree with being more discrimination as I've never seen a child get hurt by another child hitting each other or throwing things at a child. Point is if your looking for a safe, Christian, affordable environment for your child i would recommend the learning center.

We believe families should spend time together not just work on homework. Teachers at this school are effective. They are well trained in their respective fields. The school has been reviewed and accredited by a number of reputable agencies including AACS, NCPSA, NACSAA, and AdvancED! This school develops strong character in its students, like integrity, compassion and respect. We encourage students to do their best to care for others. There is a no bullying policy. We believe in treating others as you would want to be treated. We love our students and seek to help them in any way possible on their academic journey. Leadership at this school is effective. The administration goes out of their way to accommodate parents and staff with any concerns. I have personally sat in a number of parent teacher meetings where we worked out an individualized plan to help a student succeed. This plan is then implemented in the classroom with a high success rate. This school effectively supports students with learning differences. We teach students using a variety of methods. We provide Title 1 tutoring, help classes, and tutoring in all areas and grade levels. Detailed planning goes into each lesson and special needs are considered in classroom settings. This school effectively deals with bullying. The school has a no bullying policy it implements daily. We teach students how to treat others in a caring, loving way. Any bullying is dealt with immediately and effectively.

I noticed the teachers started being petty. They started doing things to my child that would trigger an emotional response. For instance, I go to pick my daughter up and they made it look like she had been fondled with. They left her banging at the door during pick up, and on another occasion told me it was " backward shirt day" and when I came to pick her up she was the only child with her shirt on the wrong way. Bottom line don't send your child there! The providers act like the children that attend. Also if you need to make a payment they put your name on a board for everyone to see, and deflect by saying " it means see the for desk, it could be about anything". It's only ever about money.

Whenever I picked my daughter up she was always clean and happy. Plus, the live feed from the room cameras allow me to check in for an extra layer of peace. Then, on our first day, the teacher had no idea she was getting a new student (even though we completed registration and finalized our start date six weeks in advance). This means our toddler didn't have a cubby for his belongings, a name tag, or a familiar welcome from his teacher - a disappointing first day for a new kid and disheartening experience for us as his parents. Additionally, the center uses a live stream camera, which is a wonderful feature - except that I saw unfortunate interactions between the teacher and my child. Other than story time, it didn't appear that there was much teaching going on at this location; children sat at tables with toys while teachers merely oversaw the classroom like babysitters. More importantly, I witnessed numerous violations by the staff of ELC's own handbook. I recorded all of these violations, including, but not limited to, withholding outside time as a punishment. When my son couldn't complete a developmental task, such as zipping up his coat on his own, the teacher punished him for it rather than teaching him how to do it (or communicating with us as parents that she expected this). I also saw my child left unattended in the classroom multiple times and that's when we quickly pulled my son from this location. When I discussed the reasons for our departure with the director, she was very understanding and indicated I was not the first parent to bring these concerns to her. I could never recommend this location to anyone considering the 3 year-old classroom.

The tailor said that the sleeves would have to be taken in from the shoulders and that it would cost $150 per sleeve and probably not worth doing it. I agreed and I left and went to another tailor. I was hoping that I would get a better price and this tailor was able to do it from the cuff and just move two buttons up to keep the look of the jacket. This leads me to believe that the tailor at Park Avenue Tailor is inexperienced. I will give three starts as this is just a review of the interaction and not of their work.

When we moved to Jacksonville, my children had never been to daycare. After a horrible experience at another daycare facility in Jacksonville, we relocated toTLE River City in December 2014. This was the best decision we could have made. Our two boys loved TLE! Annie and Allison have been nothing but amazing and all of the teachers have been wonderful. Ms. Dana has had both of our boys now and they both rant and rave about how amazing she is. Ms. Jean, the VPK teacher, instilled a love for learning in our son that has had him excited and eager to start kindergarten, a grade he was more then prepared for. In May 2016, we welcomed our baby girl into the world and while daycare was not new to us, taking our 6 week old was. Ms. Krystal, Ms. Kristi and Ms. Renee haven been the absolute best teachers we could have asked for. Our daughter has been the happiest baby and has loved every minute of being in the infant classes. I not only trust these teachers while my children are at school, I would trust every one of the teachers my kids have had at my home. My daughter is now moving into the 1 year old class and I can only hope that her teachers are as amazing as the infant room teachers. Thank you to Annie and Allison and all of the amazing teachers for making our day just a little easier as we leave our children. read more

The Director at TLE Jacksonville River City, April Thomas, is an exceptional leader and shares true compassion for children and parents. Director Thomas walked my son (2 1/2 yr old) and I through a tour and answered all of our questions. Director Thomas personally greeted my son and I every day during his first week in TLE's Prepper Program. This was my son's FIRST experience away from home and April's natural ability to communicate with children made the transition possible. Her staff is also amazing. Mrs. Hope is my son's teacher and he smiles when he says her name, or if I mention her name. Mrs. Hope sends up dates to us throughout the day and she graciously took daily phone calls from me during his first week. TLE observes CDC COVID precautions and provides 'runners' every morning for efficient drop off. Sanela, Justine, and other wonderful staff do a great job meeting us at the door and greeting our children with smiles. This was my son's first experience away from home and the caring and educated staff at TLE made preschool possible for my son and my family. read more

My nephew attends The Learning Experience school on Wolf Bay Drive, and he loves it! His teachers, Miss Jean and Miss Pat are always ready to go above and beyond to help their students thrive. The curriculum is based on learning but still mixes in lots of play time and opportunities to build the needed social skills preschoolers need. He is learning sign language in addition to reading, math and science. They offer exposure to different learning strategies to cover all cognitive skills whether visual, auditory, hands-on or exploratory. They are very encouraging about trying new things and foster an attitude of curiosity and exploration through play and interaction that makes leaning fun. My nephew loves this school and all the activities, and he loves his teachers and classmates. I talk to him often about what he is doing at school and what he is learning and based on what he's telling me and how excited he is to be there, I give them 5 stars! read more

So, I am back to say THANK YOU for Ms. Courtney in Preppers! My little one just raved about how "Ms. Courtney is the best" and I love to hear her talk about her teachers. I appreciate the patience, care, and concern that Ms. Courtney expresses for all the children but especially mine. Ms. Courtney is a great value to the center! Now can we get Ms. Hayden back? We miss her too! All of the staff is great at this location But, there are some standouts. We love Ms. Sanela and Ms. Jordan in leadership now! Ms Kristie is seriously the best. We've had her for both of our kiddos and we couldn't ask for a better teacher/provider. She has such an amazing way with both the kids and parents. Having her in the infant room is so great for new parents as she provides such amazing care to our babies and makes us feel at ease while dropping our babies at daycare. Both of my boys absolutely adore Ms Kristie. We also need to shout out Ms Kaitlynn (infant), Ms Mayah (twaddler) and all the teachers in the infant classrooms and toddlers A and B (I wish I could remember all the names). this review is specifically for Kristie(may have missed the spelling) who works with the infants. she's been so caring and attentive to our daughter ever since the start! We've been able to watch her learn things at home and when we bring it in she's able to reinforce those things allowing her to pick up on standing and play so quickly that it's shocking people of how much she knows and can do at her age. She always communicates and never hesitates to call at the sign of anything that a parent could possibly want to know about going on with their child! TLE child day care center at River City is fantastic. The twaddler teachers Miss Teresa Miss Tara and Miss Shay are very kind, caring and hard-working teachers! They are always making sure that the kids are well taken care of and safe. I love that they are able to teach them songs, days of the week, potty trained and how to be respectful at this young age. They do many artsy age appropriate projects with the kids. I am also very happy with the front desk Management as they do a phenomenal job keeping everything organized clean and when any concerns come up they are always listening and are proactive to take the necessary steps to make changes. read more

My son has been a part of The Learning Experience Family since he was 6 weeks old, I have watched him grow and learn from Newborn to Twaddlers. The activities, stimulating classes such as Yoga and visitors from the Fire department to the petting zoo have helped to cultivate a little person that loves to learn and play. The staff is absolutely amazing. Even when he's grumpy they make sure he is hugged and loved while mom and dad are at work. I never have to worry about his wellbeing when he is in their care. We absolutely love this school. Naturally I was worried dropping off my son for the first time for VPK because he was shy and reserved but Miss Jean and Miss Pat quickly made him feel so comfortable. We have watched him blossom and grow into a very outgoing confident kid that's thriving. He's learning so much, and looks forward to going to school every day. As someone who has worked in childcare, it was really important to me to find a facility that I felt comfortable bringing my child to. I wanted to find a place where the teachers taught curriculum from an early age, fostered a bond with the children and keep my child safe and happy. We moved our oldest son to TLE when he was 3 yrs old and have absolutely loved our experience! He's four now and will be going to VPK at TLE this fall! We recently transitioned our 2 year old, after spending his first two years at an in-home center. The staff has been so patient and loving through both transitions. They really feel like family! I especially love when coming back from vacations that my four year old tells me that he's SO excited to go back to school and see his teachers and friends! Best feeling in the world! We love TLE! Most important to us, we trust his teachers and know he is well taken care of. They are kind and patient, yet firm when they need to be. As a teacher myself, I notice how much he is learning each month. He's not even 3, but he knows all his colors, shapes, letters, numbers to 20, at least 15 sign language signs, and so much more! My wife and I love this daycare center for our child! We enrolled him at 2 months old and he's had a big smile ever since. Ms.Kristie and Ms.Kaitlynn have been rockstars for him! They're very friendly, hands on, and never afraid to talk to us about him. The app is a big plus too! It updates us whenever he eats, sleeps, low on diapers and wipes, and we get pictures of him throughout the day! My little one has been going here since she 8 months old and I couldn't ask for a better place to send her. While my wife does most of the drop offs and pick ups, on the occasions that I am able to pick her up the place is always clean, the front office is always welcoming, and the teachers are helpful in providing me with information about the day. My wife and I love TLE. Mrs Teresa and Mrs. Maegen are the absolute best. They go above and beyond to make our daughter feel loved . They're both very attentive, supportive and communicative. This was my first time putting my kids in daycare, and boy am I glad I chose TLE! Everyone makes a point to say hello to me everytime I'm there and everyone knows my kids' names even though they aren't in direct care with them. I have kids in the infant A and Twaddler classes and can't speak highly enough of the teachers who are in there on a daily basis. They are always so friendly and SMILING! We transferred our 3 year old from another center. We found the teachers to be great, my son talks about them all the time. It took him a few months to get used to the place, he is generally shy. But after a few months, he started opening up. He learns about other countries, signs words, knows some Spanish, and is overall excited about learning. read more

We've been sending out child to Primrose for 2 years now and are very pleased with the quality of care received. Getting in: There is a length wait list because this is quite a popular school. I recommend signing up as soon as you find out you're expecting if this is the school you want to go to. We signed up at 6 months pregnant and had a year wait list. Our child was able to start in their Infant 2 class and is currently in their toddler 4 class. Fees: There's no way around this. It's expensive. This is a quality daycare. The facility is in immaculate condition. There are lots of toys in each of the classes. There are several great playground on site as well as a splashpad. Tuition includes 2 meals and 3 snacks daily. Parents are served breakfast and snack once a week. Staff: The staff are great at this location! The turnover is very low and most of the teachers that we've had in the last 2 years are still there. I think this speaks to the quality of the school, helps to justify and price, and the work environment for the staff.

They have their standard classrooms and an additional music room. The teachers are smart, encouraging and they know what they are doing. They do the best to ease you into leaving your kids with others for the first time. The first day of school they had a breakfast for the parents to ease their minds a little. They have 2, 3 and VPK programs. Like most places in Florida the their VPK program is free. The 2 and 3 year old program you have to pay, depending on how many days a week you child attends. They have a 2 day program (Tuesday & Thursday), 3 day program (Monday, Wednesday & Friday), and the 5 day program which is from Monday thru Friday. Picking and dropping your kids off is easy. You can either wait in the car line, or you can stand by the front door. They like it if you use the car line. It makes it easier and faster on the staff. Many issues - this location lost three good teachers in the course of a year. A consequence of this…read moreis that children get passed around to very inexperienced teachers or the short tempered Director who likes to put hands on children and drag them while yelling at them for "ignoring" instead of seeing that the child has shut down. They discriminate against perceived disabilities. They lack basic understanding of cause and effect. Children are a product of their environment. - If you want no dysregulated children, maybe staff more educated/trained teachers and provide a calm, consistent environment - children would behave accordingly. The handbook talks about cameras for the safety of the children - what they don't tell you and what is not in the handbook is that parents are not allowed to view the video to view circumstances leading up to events. They purposely mislead parents, they interrogate/coerce information from 3 year olds without parents present. I suggest going anywhere else but daycares operated/owned by Learning Care Group. I thought it might just be this location and Director level. It is not. The response or lack of response is indicative of a much larger (not even regional) liability/risk governance issue at corporate level. They do not care about children.

She starts telling me "come on mom. Don't wanna be late!" Every morning. She is happy during drop off and during pick up. She loves her teachers and despite her having a speech delay, she has started speaking a lot more and recognizing more letters and numbers. She's just all around happy there! I can't say enough good things about Kindercare.

love this daycare . my niece had first started here growing up until she was in vpk. they always…read moremade sure she came home happy and having the best day ever! i currently had a daughter last year and decided to take her there since i knew how well they cared for her . and i must say after a couple years the love never left! i feel at ease leaving my daughter with her teachers for the first time they're absolutely wonderful! i'm extremely grateful for them. they make sure my babygirl is well taken care of . they even have a app to check in on your kiddo during the day! the owner is a wonderful lady as well! good energy.. and if you're wondering they keep that place spotless! they do a good deep clean everyday. classrooms look beautiful not messy or unorganized. so if you were looking for a nice daycare this is it! thank you southpoint for all that you do!

She occasionally sees pics I get from Procare on my phone and her face lights up. The staff is friendly and always has events for the kids. They get free mini photo shoots for most of the holidays. They send out weekly planning sheets and lunch menus so we always know what's going on. I do recommend this place.

They were supposedly the first…read moreavailable so without a lot of options, and needing to get back to work, we went ahead and put down a deposit with the reassurance that it should be "mid May" when spots become available. May rolls around, and we keep following up to see if they're staffed, and time after time they say no. I understand that deposits need to be paid to reserve a spot, but if several months go by and there's no spot to reserve bc they're still understaffed, there should be exceptions to refunding your deposit. They weren't even willing to consider it.

I'm shocked no one else has raved about this place yet! This isn't my first La Petite my child has…read moreattended as he spent the summer at a location in Northwestern South Carolina that always looked and sounded like an ABSOLUTE FREE FOR ALL!!!! My child has been at this location for almost 2 years now and I couldn't be happier! The staff is amazing! The curriculum is teaching my child more than I ever expected in a early preschool setting (in the fall, my child will be in PVK). It's nice to see the same staff (teachers) over and over again meaning the turnover rate is limited. There is a great outdoor playground for all children to enjoy. The only issue I have is the location. It is 5 or 6 car-lengths from a stop light with a left turn median. This all boils down to a nightmare to get in and/or out of the parking lot on a regular basis. However, I'm not gonna fault La Petite for this issue. Ask me anytime anywhere and I'll say this location is great!
