Stumbling upon TLE SS was one of the best decisions we could have made for our little one. We came from a not-so-great experience at another daycare, which led me to homeschool my now 2-year-old for about four months. From the very first tour, my husband and I were in awe of how professional the staff was and how clean and organized the center appeared. In my mind, it was the perfect fit for a Type A parent like myself. I first met Ms. Andrea, who was simply delightful and soft-spoken. I shared my expectations as a parent, and she truly listened. I told her that as long as my child was treated with respect, communication remained open--even for the slightest concern--and transparency was maintained, she wouldn't hear a peep from me. Ms. Andrea and Ms. Yahira have exceeded my expectations in every way. Not only do they treat my child with respect, but they genuinely love her and have taught her so much in such a short time. Really impressed by the way the assistant director Destiny showed me and my wife the school. We went in today for a tour of the facility and were impressed on the learning curriculums and activities they have for the children. Very nice staff as we toured and got to see each sectiin of the facility and how it operates. As we were touring i was looking around and seen how clean and organized the facility is and how the children were interacting with the staff and how the staff responded. No im not an expert but if i am to leave my child in the care of others i definitely want to know how they interact and respond to kids. We were told about the open door policy and how anytime we felt the need to sit in and want to see our child in the classroom it is always welcomed. The school has surveillance system in all areas of the school both visual (obviously) and audio. The prices are a bit high but given the facility and what they offer you are getting your money's worth here. Definitely recommend this place to everyone. read more

I can't imagine a better daycare than The Learning Experience on Southside!!! This is our third daycare and first two was not even comparable with this one! My two years old loves all his teachers playing learning singing... all the kids are so clean, no running noses or mess. They change their dirty Tshirts and wash their hands. I called regarding questions about tuition and enrollment the woman who answered was so condensanding acting like she was doing me a favor by letting me enroll my little one at their day care i asked about the one near me opening soon like their web site said and she told me .,, well they havent even broken ground yet i had already spoken with their corporate offices and knew when their opening day was. So she was obviously liying or was not well informed it left a bad taste in my mouth and i wouldent trust a staff member like that with my children. read more

BE VERY CAREFUL. I had such high hopes for this establishment because of my initial tour experience. I see now that everything that glitters may not necessarily be gold. This is a very clean institute with a lot of privacy for your kid. However, they did not deliver on most of what they promised. The communication was piss poor from the beginning. My child started with a less than enthusiastic substitute who completely avoided talking to me after I was told to pick my child up early. I wasn't informed about the water day on his first day, he didn't eat the entire time, there were absolutely zero notes on the app that documented how his day went or any "live stream" to monitor my kid. I was told all this would be included. The scariest part of this ordeal is he was discharged for "not being ready" and not napping at the scheduled time but I had absolutely no way to see how my nonverbal child was dealt with for his behavior. After I was told my kid couldn't come back on the SECOND day, I asked the director Patricia P how do they usually deal with special needs kids and she replied "we don't" and he wouldn't have been admitted if she knew. This was astounding because I explicitly stated this in the tour and was told they have an occupational and speech therapist that comes on site, so just maybe she meant not ALL special needs are created equal. She made sure to let me know that Madison was responsible for creating the plan for new enrollment and no one actually reviewed my kids file before he got there. I put him in your care and you don't know anything about him? She told me I would get my money refunded but I had to call up there and beg after a few days of no action and then when I did get it, it was still not the full amount. I gave them $250 for a 7 total hours of care and all I received back was a sick kid and a bad taste in my mouth. They had 3 weeks to execute a plan for my 3 year old who has never been in daycare before but wanted him to adjust to this new school in two days. I thought the director would attempt to work with me like cutting down his time there or maybe coming back when his teacher was back but after speaking to her, it was clear she just didn't want me or my spouse at that center. My daughter is currently enrolled here for vpk and she loves it! Everyday my daughter comes home and tells me everything she has learned including sign language. The school is very well organized with their different classes and one of the things I like is that they do offer an afternoon vpk session. They do include field trips for the kids and they communicate well with parents with emailed news letters. Overall, I'm happy with the vpk choice my husband and I made. read more

We enrolled our son into a previous location on the north side temporarily early last year... After relocating, we decided to enroll again with The Learning Experience! This location has been our best choice for child care in the 6years we've needed. Ms Grace, the Owner is on top of everything, especially paperwork!!! Ms Laine, welcomes everyone in the morning, always has a smile on, and makes the new enrollment process super simple! Both our Children attend, one in the VPK/Wrap around, and one in the Toddler. The VPK program and curriculum is amazing to say the least! In the first week my son was recognizing numbers and letters! I was a little worried with the amount of children to teach ratio, but Ms. Nikki is wonderful with the children! In the toddler room with Ms Keisha, there is fewer children to teach ratio -- which we like! The potty training system is great! This location is well worth the price, and experience! I know our children are taken care of, learning, and growing surrounded by other children! I am more than satisfied with this facility! Thank you for all you do! read more

My daughter has been at TLE for over 2 years now and she loves it. She loves coming in each day and gives her teachers hugs. Everyone knows her by name and says hi. We have been very impressed with what she has learned. She learned her colors, shapes, animal sounds etc at a very young age. At 2 and a half she can already sing the whole alphabet and count to about 15. She loved the yoga program and comes home and practices yoga now all the time. TLE has also been very accommodating with her special diet as well. We love it here! read more

The staff is knowledgeable, passionate about children, the facility is clean, the playground is nice and the curriculum is heads and shoulders above other centers. Daily, the children of all ages receive Spanish lessons, sign language instruction, exposure to the arts and enrichment programs at no extra cost, such as soccer, dramatic arts and yoga. Most of all they teach children about philanthropy and integrate hands-on activities that build character. We can't wait to start in August. read more

Very bad management. Place is too cramped up...babies from 6 week to 8 month old is in very same room. Morning I drop my kid in one room...then she moves to 3 different rooms...and after 3 pm...almost all the kids from age 28 months to 5 years end up in one room with one teacher. ...worst worst daycare ever...The daycare my kid goes now is 10000 times far far better. ..I am glad that I made a decision to move out read more

My son (16 months) started attending The Learning Experience when he was one. He had never been in daycare before, and the transition was difficult. His teachers and the owner/administrator were fantastic about checking in with me and making sure that I was doing okay as he adjusted. He has now adjusted and loves it there. His teachers truly care about him, know his likes/dislikes and celebrate his independent spirit. He is learning so much (even at a young age), and we are able to build on it at home. Very Expensive daycare, the service is not great and the teachers look unhappy and overwhelmed.

I don't even know where to start. I was looking for a daycare that provided summer camp. When I searched around, they were the closet to my house, so I decided to sign my child up for their summer camp. Their hours says closed at 6:30, but the lady at the front office said I would have to pick up my child by 6 not 6:30, so I immediately called her to let her know that the hours says closed at 6:30 online if that's the case, if I can come by and pick up the check I will go somewhere else. Now mind you that was only 15minutes after I gave her the check. She said no she could not give me my money back...(why not I just gave you the check?)and also, that was only two weeks before summer camp started. She said she would have the director call me, never got a call back. I decided to keep her in because it's right next to where I live. On the first day I picked her up she was complaining how they did not give her enough food, and I also heard another little girl telling her mom that she's hungry. As far as feedind these kids they did not give them enough food through out the day...my daughter complained all the time. Secondly, when we signed her up they made all these promises they they would go on trips 3times a week and do curriculum activities. Absolutely NOT! Every time I picked up my child and asked her what did they do, she said play all day. For the last two weeks before summer camp ended, they told the kids the bus had broken down they could not take them to any field trips...IF THAT WAS THE CASE, THEY SHOULD HAVE GIVEN SOME TYPE OF REFUND OR DO SOME KIND OF FUN INDOOR ACTIVITIES WITH THEM. These people at the Southside location act very funny, very RUDE and ALL ABOUT MAKING MONEY.MY CHILD WILL NOT BE COMING BACK NEXT SUMMER, I will put her back in Lapetit or Kindercare where I never had any issues. I have always believed if you take people's hard earned money, karma will get you back! read more
