My Child was abused...Please read below!!!!…read more My son went to the Tutoring Club from April 9, 2012 thru August 15, 2012. While in the care of Susan Abbenante my son stated that Susan Abbenante would yell at him all the time, called him lazy and when he would ask for help she would tell him NO". He also told me that she hit him in the forehead and slapped him on the back . He said one time was during the Spring session and the other was during the Summer session. When I asked my son why he did not tell me when it happened he replied "I know how you are and I didn't want you to go to jail". My children know that they are my world and I would do anything to protect them. As soon as I heard what happened I told him he was not going back. I emailed Susan and told her what was said and she did not respond back for 4 days. I called the corporate office and left a message on August 20th and never received a call back. On Wednesday, August 22nd I called the police to place a report and at that time I called the corporate office back and spoke with Daniel Pinkney who really was no help. He said that they are a franchise and there was really nothing he could do. I went as far as the States Attorney's Office, but because my son didn't have any marks I was told it would be his word against hers. Susan Abbenante said my son was disruptive, rebellious and lazy. The problem with that is I never received one email, a phone call, or was I ever approached when I picked him up. My son used to cry and tell me he didn't want to go. I thought it was, because it was summertime and he wanted to play. I should have known something was wrong. In fact, one day when I was picking him up he was late coming out so I went inside to get him. She was yelling at him then. My son is a very respectful child and I have never had any problems with him in school. Please don't send your child here. I would hate for your child to be abused and hurt like my child was.

My son worked with Ian over the summer and a few weeks into his senior year. Ian did an outstanding job helping him prepare, and his scores went up significantly, with math being near perfect. My son felt like he learned a lot too. It was well worth the money we spent. My son ("Joe") is an excellent student in school, but his 10th grade PSAT and pre-ACT scores didn't…read morematch his academic performance. I talked to a few friends with older kids and they recommended Ian at Streamline Tutors. Joe started working with Ian in June of this year. Ian looked at his scores and decided that he is naturally better at the ACT than SAT so decided to focus on this test only. They met weekly through the summer as much as our vacation schedule allowed, with the goal of taking the October test. Joe started with prep books, and then moved on to practice tests. Before the scheduled test, Streamline offered in center simulated practice tests to help prepare for the real thing. There were many frustrating moments where Joe didn't feel like he was improving, but Ian felt confident in him and kept him focused. The big day came, and Joe walked out with a smile.
