The teacher are well educated and highly qualified. My daughter came from another school because I was paying $500 a month and she couldn't even write her name. After enrolling into this school... The first week my 4 year old was singing the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag..... Also she knew her 5 senses. She was writing her name..... She knew the 4 seasons. I was in shock. To this day..... Ever day my child comes home, she has something new that she learned. I'm still in shock. The school is clean and very pleasing to the eye. However, Let's talk financial for a moment. .... Cons.... There is a $100 dollar registration fee. So you will pay $200 hundred dollars just to get in. The other $100 is the weekly payment. I pay $100 a week because my daughter is enrolled in UPK and extended hour( until 6:00pm - There is also a $50 charge for the school uniform . Which I think is excessive for a shirt and pair of pants. They force you to buy it and if you don't buy it, your child won't be allowed to go on school trips or summer walks with her class. So actually your paying $250 dollars to get in. Please keep in mind that this amount is for UPK/ extended hour. If your is older, you will pay more than $100 a week. LATE FEE: the school charges $1 dollar a minute fee after 6:00pm. So just imagine if the train is late, or your stuck in traffic, or you die...... You will pay dearly. 15 minute late $15 dollars extra. Due when you pick your child up. So you better have money in your pocket. Don't even think about stoping at the bank. It's gonna cost you more. Did I mention that if you don't pay the late charge in 5 days, you pay an additional 10%. Also, they will kick your child out the school with no refund. I gave the school 3 stars because they offer a great curriculum but the fees are so unfair. You make the decision..... How much money would you place on education?

When it came time for our youngest, there was no doubt or any other choice. We would wait for a spot here. The school itself is a beautiful home, with a spacious area around. It is in tree lined streets. Inside, it is soo warm, full of color or life and love. Everyone who works there loves each child and gives their full time and effort. There is no question, I would trust Ms. Sosanna and everyone here with the life of my child. They are not only in the best hands, but will also develop to their full potential.

This facility is quite large, there is a library, a gym, an outdoor playground and a large parking lot for parents to park during pickup and drop-off.  There is also a kitchen, all food served to the students are made onsite. Parents are welcome to bring home food for their kids too (with the exception of nuts, this is a nut free school). My son was under 1, so he was placed in the infant room.  The two teachers were very attentive to my son's needs, anything we requested they would accommodate. I usually spent a few minutes chatting with the teachers when I picked him up and I could tell that they paid attention to what my boy was doing. My second boy also started attending this school when he was 6 months old, and his teachers were also warm and loving. My boys always smile when they see their teachers every day! The school offers tons of activities, there is the regular Kung-Fu, yoga, Chinese and music as well as extracurricular classes (additional fees), piano, reading, ballet and art. Not to mention all the fun activities they already do, celebrate fall with apple tasting, funky hat day for Dr. seuss' Cat in the Hat, visits from local librarians and fire fighters, hunt for the Pot of Gold on St. Patrick's day, parents reading to the kids on pajama days....just to name a few. The teachers my sons have are all engaging, loving and wonderful. They not only pay attention to each child's need but also think of ways to gently encourage them to do better on their own. The school directors are Jane and Una, they are friendly, approachable and responsive to parents' concerns and ideas. They send email communications often and usually attach pictures of the students enjoying school activities. They really do a fantastic job in making the school a safe and happy environment for the kids. My boys are happy to go to Preschool of America and it gives me peace of mind knowing they are well taken care of every day.

We started at this facility in 2012, when my first was 7 months old. My second started when he was 6 months old in 2017. We left in September 2017 when my oldest went to K because we don't live in the vicinity and I had been driving back and forth from LI ever since my son turned 1. We loved the facility, the (mostly) caring staff and the "human" directors. Why do I say "human"? Because they really care about your kids, and notice things such as possible delays, and address issues with the kids. Yes, there are some teachers/assistants I didn't like. One teacher, in particular, who would always put my son in a high chair because he "misbehaved" and then leave him there until I came to pick up. I never saw her again after that one year so seemed like Jane got rid of her. But the majority of the teachers are excellent. Ms. Maria (who got promoted to head office), Ms. Melissa, Ms. Una, Ms., Brittany. Loving, caring, dedicated teachers. My older son grew up with these teachers and assistants. They know and love him. Ms. Ali, who we miss every single day, treated my son like her own. Teachers jokingly called my son her godson. My son is also pretty fluent in Chinese, which I have for thank PofA for. I requested the Chinese teachers to speak to him in Chinese as much as possible. My younger son now goes to an all American facility so will likely be lacking in the Chinese language department. We had enrolled with Kiddie Academy before they were even open for business; one of the directors liked to joke that my son was their first kid. It was a brand new facility that was within the neighborhood so we were excited to attend. KA fully opened in September 2017, and although there were some growing pains, it was a well-run daycare that was very responsive to parent feedback. My son had just turned 1 when he first attended KA. We've had amazing teachers - Theresa, Yolanda, Sam, Brandi, Katherine, to name a few. Some of them no longer work there for one reason or another. Turnover is VERY high here. I always thought it was peculiar when seeing their ads for teachers and assistant teachers that their requirements for early education were so low, but since we've always had great teachers up until this year, I never questioned it. I don't want to go into our personal history with this place, and all the detailed ridiculousness that went on in the past few months, but I do want to note that if your child tests boundaries or doesn't do well with passive teachers, this is not the place for you. Earlier this year my son went through a phase of rebellion and testing boundaries, and spiraled out of control because the teacher he had was too passive and a pushover. I would get a call everyday from the newly minted and extremely real-world-inexperienced director, telling me "I don't know what to do." You are a daycare facility, your job is to KNOW WHAT TO DO. Your job is to give your teachers, and yourself, the tools to learn classroom management for young children. There was none of this. One of the other directors even asked me to talk to my pediatrician and to see a therapist. A THERAPIST FOR A THREE YEAR OLD!!!! AND WE ACTUALLY WENT!!! Against my better judgement as his mom, we went, because we thought there might be some anger issues he had to work out. But there were none. He was acting like a normal 3 year old, testing his boundaries, to see how far he could push. The therapist even suggested possible abuse or bullying from other classmates/teachers, but we got none of that out of him. Finally, as a last resort and after almost a whole month of this behavior, they switched him to a different classroom with a more stern teacher. He did well and the calls stopped. After a few weeks, COVID shutdown occurred but did not shut KA down. There was a huge decrease in the number of teachers and kids in the classrooms. Throughout March, April, May, June, July.... We attended. We supported them. In August, as more kids and teachers returned, there were yet again changes to my son's classroom environment which resulted in his bad behavior resurfacing and at this time, I was fed up with the young, inexperienced director. I couldn't stand her almost daily calls asking me to pick him up because she "didn't know what to do anymore." I was ready to move my son out of this facility. After a week of her calling me to complain about his bad behavior I gave her a piece of my mind. We have been enrolled in a structured, Catholic pre-k program since school started and he is thriving and flourishing. The teacher has 30+ years of experience. I wish I could turn back time and take him out back in January when this all started. When kids behave poorly, it is the environment and the adults around him that need to change. I hated having to write this review in this manner as I have always been supportive of this facility even when other neighborhood moms complained about them. I was always on KA's side; I understand how small businesses worked and how much money, blood, sweat they must have poured into this business. But I can no longer do that with a clear conscience after my personal experiences and I can no longer recommend them as I have for the past couple of years.

We signed our 4 year old son up for the G&T prep group classes on Saturday mornings. Mr. Dae was his instructor, and he taught them a number of different tips and tricks for approaching the different question categories, which I feel were quite helpful. The coursework is rigorous, as they focus on a different category of question each week, and includes a fair amount of homework, but Clover Prep does an awesome job of building a curriculum that is more challenging than the test itself, to ensure that the students have a confident grasp on each of the concepts by the time they are done with the course. Our son scored a 99. I would definitely recommend Clover Prep, and use them in the future.
