Katie helped me by suggesting different dresses and really tried to understand what it was I was looking for. I was wearing a dress I was liking but not loving. She showed me another dress that I hadn't originally thought to try. She said just do it, I think you'll really like it. I shrugged and said ok. I put it on and looked in the mirror and got that "feeling" everyone talks about. I walked out of that boutique feeling so amazing. So confident. So beautiful. It's not a chaotic massive store that leaves you feeling overwhelmed. It's welcoming and fun. It had been shown quite a bit of neglect in its 70+ years in existence. They have consistently and fairly walked me through every bit of the remodeling process from my kitchen to the full remodel of both my bathrooms. They even removed the popcorn ceilings throughout my home and retextured them. Truly, again, I couldn't recommend Ruben and his crew more.

TL;DR Do not hire…read moreCasa Bella. My wife and I ended up having to fire them due to unprofessionalism, procrastination and COMPLETELY improper installation of our hardwood oak flooring. We were told in the beginning (back in May) the entire job would take 1 week. After pushing back the start date from July to Aug, they started on August 4 and here we are August 30th and only 230sq/ft of 2200sq ft of our wood flooring has been laid. When Ruben and Gabrielle showed up to start on the first day, he acted like he had never seen our house before or remembered what job he was doing. When they came in the house to start he looked around baffled and said things like "wow this is such a big job." "we don't have time for this." We are going to need more time." I mean the guy looked like we just blindsided him, when he was actually the one who personally came out to measure and quote back in May. He also asked that day what OUR plan was to do with 2200sq ft of carpet and tile. My wife and I were perplexed because we've remodeled our fair share before and the tear out has always been part of the job, including hauling off the torn out material - usually in a roll off that is either added on or included in the cost. But apparently they will only rip it out and throw it in your garage and sunroom for you to deal with later. Over the next couple weeks when they finally DID start, they would send 1 person to tear out carpet or remove linoleum from the kitchen and they would be working for approximately 2 hours at a time. Instead of rolling the carpet up and putting it in a roll off dumpster, they cut out 3'x3' squares of carpet and just stacked it in our sunroom for us to figure out what to do with. The tile was pulled up and then set in our alley for us to deal with. The linoleum in the kitchen was never fully removed. This all should have been MAYBE a couple days worth of work, but this process continued for close to a week and the kitchen flooring is only 1/8 of the way removed, and there is close to half of the carpet still in tact. We were told before they started that their entire crew of about 6 people would move from their previous project to our house once they finished the last project and "knock it out". Nope. Still only 1 person at a time at our house inefficiently removing carpet and linoleum. They were in absolutely NO hurry to get our project done. They would say that they would be at our house at around 10am everyday, but would consistently show up either right around lunch or after lunch (to once again work only until about 2:00 or 3:00. When Ruben showed up the last day before letting them go, I asked if he had started yet another project even though he promised that once they were done with the previous one that ours was next. He admitted that they did. Ruben and Gabrielle FINALLY started to get the first few rows of wood down. Well, apparantly he has never worked with solid hardwood flooring. He called me while I was out running errands and was so baffled by what he was seeing and couldn't believe how insanely "warped" and "unusable" 75% of my wood flooring was. He said in his honest opinion he would go out and buy a different material because this wood was just too warped. I honestly got nervous and thought that we had over $10,000 worth of unusable wood. I called both Lumber Liquidators and my father in law (who installed this flooring in our current bedroom with no issues) to get advice for this. They said that it's perfectly normal for not every piece of wood to be perfect due to it's nature, but that if it's REALLY bad that there are special straps to help this. I ended up having to purchase the straps myself and brought them to Ruben and Gabrielle. After a few days of actual wood installation, there was a little over 200 square feet down. I checked to see that everything was down properly (squareness, expansion space, gaps, glue thickness etc). Even I could tell that it wasn't being done right. There were hollow spots and excessive gaps everywhere. I called my father in law and he pointed out that they were not using the proper trowel which severly reduces the amount of glue in contact with the flooring and slab, that they were way off square from the room and that they were leaving glue residue from between the seams to dry overnight. Finally, the worst issue of all: Ruben admitted to rabbitting off the bottom groove of the tongue and groove to "save time" on cleaning the glue out from the previous day. This is something that can cause MAJOR buckling issues in the future. The tongue and grooves are there for a reason, and that reason is not to be cut off with a table saw to make things easier for an inexperienced installer. I let him go the next day. I can't in good faith recommend Casa Bella to anyone I know.

She had some great suggestions and even shared her experience she's had with different types of materials and how they wore over time and how they'd combine with the other elements of the kitchen. The project progressed quickly and without any major problems. She asked questions as her crew went along so the project turned out the way it was envisioned. It was finished right on budget which we worked out ahead of time and about a day early. Everyone in the office has commented how great it looks and all functionality is intact, if not improved.
