This boathouse lodging is situated conveniently on the Augusta marina, so there was no parking issues. The reservation process was very easy, and we had no issues communicating with the owner all through our visit. This houseboat was an older vessel, that was restored and could easily be enough space for 4 adults. On our visit we just had 2 adults, so the full size bed was more than comfortable. They also have two two size buckbeds that could be used for kids or other adults. This houseboat was very cozy and comfortable. I immediately fell in love with the Spanish moss hanging from the trees and definitely wanted to capture that "southern" look. Also, there are places off the beaten path near little waterfalls and rushing water for more picture opportunities. Since then, I've returned with my family and friends for a relaxing stroll in nature. I enjoy the paths, especially for my young daughter. They have so much to offer: kayak rentals, bicycle rentals, a cooling off area for both humans and pets, bike repair station, a playground, etc. I appreciate that they have clean restrooms available as well as trash cans, and doggy doo receptacles. There's a lot to explore and a lot of history, I highly recommend it!
