Or they might file a phoney case in court and not serve you and get a arrest warrnt when you do not show up for arraignment. Then wait two years to arrest you as if you had been tried and found guilty and not shown up for your arrest. They did that to me and refused to let me pay $100 bail that I had with me and kept me in MVD for four days when I was 78 years old. It is a power trip. But when the Police Chief has never been to an academy and does not get annual inservcie I guess he is oblivious to the laws that pertiain to Constituional Rights. It is a darn power trip when they protect the thieves who rob you and tell your neighbors they have a thick file on you. It is so much worse than this. There were some vibs I felt when looking for my property 28 years ago that something was off. When I had over $40K gold and silver coins stolen from my safe and saw thieves leave over our shared fence and the investigation closed the next day you gotta know something in wrong. The same people refuse to write a report when you car engine under 49K miles, a Saab 9-5 is replaced with a much older one and the paibt is blisterd on hood, roof and trunk and burglar wires pulled out from the dash. So much more that I will testify in a court of law, if you can find one in New Mexico. They play a mean games that organized crime are experienced at. It's hard to think of it as a Mecca for shopping but I love finding one-of-a-kind goodies and this is the right area to do it in! The restaurants also are a must! Chains are nowhere to be found! You'll find locally owned, quality fare with fresh ingredients made with the heart and the soul. There are several farms in Corrales that sell apples, chile, and other fruit and veggies. Anything you want fresh can be found fresh and you better believe a lot of the restaurants utilize those fresh ingredients as well! If you love local events and culture, there is always something going on in town, whether it is a parade or a farmers' market. There is also an old church that is now a museum. Also be sure to visit all the award winning wineries!

We had a simple elegant wedding nothing to crazy with a little under 50 people when initially we expected about 60-70. The venue is affordable and well maintained. It was pretty dirty as far as it being the middle of summer, lots of dead roaches were found the morning of the wedding as according to what they said they had just sprayed the night before. It was perfect none the less. The reasons for the two star review: THE STAFF.. the staff is extremely RUDE. I called multiple times throughout the process of planning my event and spoke to several people. Charlene is the one that handled the wedding event she was pretty good with customer service and satisfaction. I did call quite a few times and spoke to other employees, was told multiple different things. When I had to submit my paperwork I called in January and they said not to submit it until 90-30 days prior. When I called to chat again 90 days before they told me I should have gotten it done way sooner? It was a ton of back and forth. The alcohol catering is TERRIBLE. I had people complain that the drinks were terrible, the servers had no clue what they were doing and Herman is just a bad business operator. He didn't finalize my contract until days before the wedding and still never sent me a Signed contract by him. My coordinator and company that I hired actually had to go down to El Zócalo because they refused to help me with THEIR caterer. They said they couldn't provide me with any other caterer as the City has a contract with Canvas. It was an absolute mess. To finalize: the venue itself was amazing. That's about it.

It took 20 minutes just to get our mimosas, and our waters were forgotten and didn't come out until another 10 minutes later. Our food took about 40 minutes, which felt excessive given how few people were there. Even more frustrating, my friends' meals came out about 10 minutes before mine. There's really no reason meals at the same table shouldn't be served together. The food itself was just okay. The only standout was the French toast, which was actually really good--and honestly the only reason this review isn't one star. I also ordered coffee and was told they don't carry creamer, which is surprising for a place offering brunch. I made sure to be respectful to the owners property by not trespassing but staying on the other side of the fence. Above it was not only the tin man but also an person in a telephone booth beside him. Across the driveway on the other side there was a soldier sitting in a booth with a weapon it kind of reminded of the Eddie from the band Iron Maiden. Sides that was a lovely train with a crossroads sign. It was a such a spectacle to see from El Pueblo. It definitely deserves some recognition!
