SUCH a cute place! Truly wish I could purchase one of everything. Most of the items in here aren't super practical, but it's a great place to get gifts! Perfect for smaller items for stocking stuffers or housewarming gifts. Some of the items they have in-store include ornaments, many many cookbooks, jellycats, candles, and greeting cards. Some of my favorite items in the store were the earrings and candles! Lots of brightly colored things perfect for shopping for others. Many of the things they had were so niche, but I'm obsessed with that (including a Death Becomes Her and Keanu Reeves ornament!) A little pricey, so definitely shop sparingly, but I'd come back to see what items they have during different seasons versus evergreen products. You don't need anything in here but you will definitely want one or two random things - tote bags, thank you card, cocktails mixes, candles, pillows, purses in the shape of a carton of popcorn... This is the perfect place to find a unique gift for someone, (especially if that someone likes pink) ... Including babies, every time I come in here it seems the baby section has expanded. I stop by almost every time in manayunk and see a lot of unique items that would make nice gifts. Usually I buy their greeting cards but this time I saw a bunch of velvet toiletry bags... the larger ones can double as a clutch. They are so beautiful... I had to have one and am going back to get a couple more as Mother's Day gifts. While they last cos I can't find them anywhere else except online BUT it's less expensive at The Little Apple. I love this store! Every time I've entered I find something unique and special. The price is worth it because the store quietly screams quality and one of a kind. I love buying gifts for family, friends and myself because it's as if the owner takes pride in choosing items that you won't find anywhere else and that I appreciate. When you enter the aroma will entice you to move aimlessly throughout the store and you'll naturally gravitate to the item you were looking for but didn't know you were looking for, if that makes sense. I love shopping here and I'm never disappointed. There's such an array of items from scented candles, beer mugs, items for newly weds, custom jewelry to infant clothes and Dr. Seuss books! LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!! I went down to Main Street with a mission to find smaller Xmas gifts to go along with the bigger ones I got for family. I can't believe I have never been in this store before but I absolutely fell in love the second I stepped foot in there. They had so many things that were exactly what I was looking for and I didn't even know what I was looking for! lol! They have wonderful items - gifts for friends and family, gifts for yourself, housewares, locally sourced products, basically perfect for just about anything and everything! I loved this place so much that after I bought a bunch of stuff, I strolled around Manayunk looking for more in other stores... and ended up BACK at The Little Apple realizing that everything I needed was in that store. They were very happy to see me again in about an hour timespan, haha. The cashier was super duper friendly and I also stopped to say hi to Betty the dog who was snuggled in her bed and SO ADORABLE!! This is easily my favorite store in Manayunk. My friend and I walked in the other day and ended up spending almost 45 minutes browsing through the eclectic collection. You can find a gift for basically any occasion in this shop, including engagements, wedding, birthdays, housewarming, baby showers. There is a wide selection of cards at the front- most of them are cheeky and funny. The owner also has great music taste. The couple of times I've gone in, I've found myself bobbing my head along to the music. Little Apple stocks a variety of thoughtful boutique items that make great gifts. I saw gifts that would be great for bachelor/bachelorette party favors, jewelry from local craftsmen, and plenty of Philadelphia-themed offerings. There was also a healthy supply of greeting cards. It's simple. This place just exudes charm. Upon opening the doors to this pretty little shop, you'll probably think the following things: 1) "Damn, this place smells good." 2) "This is so cute!" "This is so true!" "Omg, this is perfect!" 3) "UGH, WHY DOESN'T ANYONE EVER BUY ME THIS?" Super friendly owner with a super friendly mom. I was in there one day with my baby, and her mom was there helping out for the day. During my visit to finish up my Christmas shopping, her mom helped me out a ton by entertaining him and even offering to hold him so that I could focus on what I was buying. Such a cute family! Brandy has impeccable taste (and style!), and it is most certainly displayed with her store's offering. This is my go-to gift shop in Manayunk. The beauty of The Little Apple is its wide range of gift items. You could shop for a male coworker, grandmother, best gal pal, or a new acquaintance there and I am certain you would find something to your satisfaction. My favorite items are the snarky little vintage-looking notebooks of insults, excuses, and the like. The cards are also very beautiful and unique. I like my cards to strike a balance between hipster chic and Papyrus snobbery. Many of the ones at TLA have cool paper cutouts and vintage-inspired prints. They also carry Tokyo Milk products, which is an awesome surprise as I only ever see them at Sephoras.
