The bigger the accessory the more you pay, which seemed fair. I was pleased with the service as the Sales Assistant seemed to have a genuine interest in me and why I was shopping there. We had a good laugh, which broke the ice and I found out they'd been in business for several years; so they must be doing the right thing!

As they had a bit of everything the rails were overflowing with garments and parts of the walls were covered in them as well. No two items looked the same so the clothes were simply categorised together. For example there were dresses in one section and skirts in another. The fact that there were so many garments made the place look cluttered. Besides the negative criticism I have to say, like all independent clothes stores, Dazzle offers something different to the high street. This is relieving because like most ladies I don't like clashing with other people. I thought most of the clothes were great and it looked like they had something to suit every occasion. They had ball gown/ prom dresses to casual clothes and flat shoes to stilettos. Pretty diverse right? The clothes were quiet cheap; the ball gown/ prom dresses were about £50.00. With prices this cheap I was wary about the quality of the materials but with clothes this cheap I could simply replace them. The lady who worked here was very friendly as well and unlike many other Sales Assistants she actually made the effort to have a conversation. I know some customers may not like this but I do!

However I was recently invited to a wedding and now that fascinators are 'de rigour' thought this was perhaps my chance to have a mooch. The fact they had a 20% off sign in the window was all the extra encouragement I needed. I have to say they have some really lovely stuff - I was particularly taken with a black and white polka dot number but sadly - even with the discount this was way out of my price range. Staff seemed nice and the stock seemed well made. Intrigued I also had a quick look on their website when I got home - more lovely things awaited including some rather fab gents hats (trilby's mostly) and a 'made to order' range.

It can be easily accessed via public transport, with many buses stopping right outside and Solihull Railway Station a short walk away, I do find the buses can be confusing if you don't know where you're going, due to the many different stops even to the same destination (Some buses to Birmingham take longer than others for example) Brands located here include Apple, Footasylum, JD, Nespresso and Lush. There is also a large John Lewis store here, which is all the more useful after their Grand Central location closed. This also features a Joe and the Juice. Food and beverage locations within the mall include Joe and the Juice, TGI Friday's, Nando's, Starbucks, Pizza Express and Wagamama. Most of the shops are on the Ground Level, while the restaurants seem to be on the upper level, there are exemptions to this rule, for example, Starbucks is on the Ground Level. I did like the contrast of the modern and older parts of the mall, I did find a lack of lifts/staff around the centre to be a slight problem. 4*

A very poor experience today!…read more I found myself with 45 minutes to spare in Solihull before my meeting so I walked into the town centre and into Touchwood to take some photos to share with you here and on twitter for my 100 Days of Birmingham photos. I took a portrait photo of the closest shopping arcade and then turned my camera to take a landscape photo. A security guard walked up to me and asked me what I was doing. I told him I was taking photos to share of the shopping arcade on twitter and he told me that I was not allowed to take photos. Ironic since there are already 12 photos on here. He suggested that I was taking photos of the people in the shopping centre which wasn't the case. He then asked me to DELETE my photos. I tweeted from BrumHour's twitter account about my experience and received a reply back that said they can ask people not to take photos. As its private property they are well within their rights to do so.

Impressive caravan, campervan and camping store…read more In the area for a wedding, we were going camping afterwards and we still needed a groundsheet. I googled it and found Jacksons Of Old Arley. My partner was getting a bit worried as we weaved our way through some West Midlands countryside. "Are you sure its this way?" he asks. "Um, yes" I answer sheepishly. We turn a corner and there it is. "Phew" I think to myself. The place is massive. Outside there is a caravan and campervan dealership, I assume is the same people run this business too. Inside the Jacksons warehouse it seems to house everything you could possibly need for the caravan, campervan or camping holiday. Ground sheet sourced, I then find the clothing section and find myself some good bargains. There was sale discounts on lots of great items. They kindly let me use their facilities too, which was welcome :-o Recommended.

The store is in a bit of a jumble and I have found it hard to locate items on some occasions, however I always eventually find what I need. They also keep quite a lot of stock in boxes outside the front of the store, so I have often spent time rooting around trying to find stuff. I do not like this aspect of the store; I would prefer it all to be easy to find and well organised. It is a great store, but it is a bit disorganised.

But when I arrived at this store at 18:10 yesterday, a female staff standing next to the front door told me the store was closed. I told this staff that the website said the store would only close at 19:00, but she said that will be next week, not this week. I was very angry that I rushed myself straight to this store soon after I finished work, but then I was refused to enter this store. I have checked the opening hours of this store on the website several times last few weeks, it always says the store opens till 19:00 on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. So I do not understand why the store decided to close at 18:00 yesterday. Furthermore, next week is the last full week before Christmas, I cannot see any point for the store to start opening till 19:00 next week like what the female staff told me. This is just ridiculous!! I had to drive half an hour from work to this store yesterday, then I was told the store was closed when I arrived. I am not happy with the service at all!!!

Prices are around the £30 mark, about the same as a decent t-shirt but you'll get more wear out of it and they come in different sizes too.
