Creative Cakes is extremely handy being situated only ten minutes walk from mine and a mere five minute walk to one of our favourite pubs (but that will come along later). Though the shop is not entirely dedicated to wedding cakes, there's no doubt this is something of a speciality. This is clear from their window displays, never mind inside. There are a range of wedding cakes in various sizes and with various decorations. The highlights of those have got to be: daises; musical notes; ivy and silver lettering of vows around each layer. The prices are very similar to what you would expect, or so the friend says. This certainly seems to be the case from the friendly, chatty and extremely knowledgeable staff. Who were more than happy to help with information, ideals, suggestions and just general chat. Moreover, the company were very helpful about transportation, preparation and the massive clean up operation for the following day. They even suggested some other wedding related companies and/or places for the venue etc. Excellent experience which was extremely pleasant considering the stress of it all. Especially given both our ignorance in these matters. All of this, plus tasty (and scarily immaculate) cakes. Defo a winner.

There isn't a large seating area (only a few tables) but I just popped in to get a few treats to take home. After I had taken plenty of photos (it just had to be done) I finally settled on a peanut butter & white chocolate brownie pretty sure it was a brownie) and a slice of Persian Tea loaf. My excitement levels went through the roof because anyone who knows me knows how much I love tea (I have over 200 different blends). My cakes were boxed up in a brown box and sealed with a Honeybee Bakery sticker. Service with a smile and tea loaf...I left in a rather good mood indeed! The tea loaf was £2.25 a slice and I found it to be really good value for money considering the portion I got. It was moist (even though I hate that word) and melt in the mouth stuff. Definitely going back for more sometime soon because it was that tasty. Highly recommended. My peanut butter and white chocolate cake was nice, but I'm not sure the combination was for me. Although I did finish it, it's not something I would purchase again but that's purely down to my personal taste. Staff were lovely and all of the cakes looked so fresh and inviting. They also sell some amazing looking meringues which I'm going to have to try soon! Highly recommended!

The place looks great with the display of cakes in the window, and inside. You can book cakes to be made as I seen a woman doing, along with a display of cakes made in the back of the shop. I told the girl, I'm a chef and I thought all the cakes and shop looked great. I asked if she made them. She said the company makes them all in Polmadie area. I got a huge biscuit type thing. I could have bought one of their better ones, but this was good for me at this time. It was like a swirl effect. And it only cost he £1.10 I think. If you gave not been here, then it's worth a look. And the girl working was really polite and friendly too. Thanks. I'll post the pics:)

I went for the Black Forest slice and the other half tried their pecan pie and we also had a white coffee and a cappuccino to join it. The cakes were really nice and sponge was nice and light in mine and the base in the pie was light and crumbly. The interior was quite nice with a couple sets of sofas and some tables and chairs. There was also a bit of a view across to Queens Park which was quite relaxing. They also sell paninis and ice cream too if you fancy something that isn't cake.

I thought if their cakes looked that amazing, the brunch must be amazeballs. I entered the grand looking coffee shop with walls of mirrors and a counter of cakes on a very dreicht Saturday morning. I was a bit late but fortunately when I arrived people had just ordered, I quickly picked from the menu French Toast (I knew what I wanted before I ordered to be honest) and a pot of Breakfast Tea. There was 10 fabulous Yelpers and we all picked a nice mix of various brunch meals. When the dishes hit the posh tables they looked pretty tasty. My tea was lovely and the French toast was a tasty brioche bread with a wee bowl of maple syrup to drizzle over. Now, don't get me wrong it did taste nice but I've had better and I felt like I could have had another slice, especially at the price they were charging. Now this place is not cheap. I knew that the cake was steep as I had seen the branch in Glasgow Central. Not only were my teeth thinking of falling out with the amount of sugar those mahoosive cakes have but my eyes were popping out with the prices. I really wanted to try the French toast with bacon but I just couldn't see myself paying over £7 for it. Maybe when I'm rich 'n' shiz. The staff were lovely and accommodating. I would like try their lunch menu and a slice of cake to see if they taste as good as they look. Firstly though I'll need to save up for the visit. So if anyone would like to support my next visit, donations are very welcome.

The shop is really quite big with a good amount of tables and a few comfy couches. The cakes ... well they look AMAZING!! I've often slowed down long enough to peer longingly in the window, drawn in by the impressive shop front, admiring the comfy warm interior and awesome cakes. This shop boasts a fine selection of tasty, sweet treats. They don't appear to serve anything savoury, so this would be perfect for anyone like me with a sweeter than sweet tooth. When I sauntered up to the counter, I was greeted by a lovely server behind the counter who was happy to engage in a wee bit of banter. Unfortunately, they didn't have any non-dairy alternatives to milk, so I couldn't have a hot chocolate, but as they had a nice selection of tea I wasn't too bothered. Confronted with the choice of so many beautifully presented home made desserts, I was stumped. After ogling the plethora of dainty delectables behind the glass for some time, I finally ordered me a nice Caramel Apple Pie and a strawberry / mango tea and settled to chill out with my book for a wee while. Total price? The handy dandy price of £3! Fantastic! According to the shop window, this lovely new establishment also provides cakes to order, including wedding cakes. They're definitely worth a wee look in if you're ever in the area. Support the purveyors of perfect pastries! :P
