Went in today to the Oakley Kroger in Cincinnati for a rapid ANTI-Body test. Turned into a full medical information exam. Nurse Practitioner asking for information as if I was going into surgery or visiting a new doctor. When he asked to take my blood pressure (Im on BP medication), I said I prefer not to, he then said " we can't move forward without it". Again, this is a rapid COVID Antigen test, not a physical, Im not sick looking for medication. When I said no, and walked out, he asked me to come back, I did. Told him, "anyone can refuse service, and he needs to respect that". He then asked, "don't you want to at least know your result". Told him "I took a picture of my result while waiting for you" Bye. Holding a COVID ANTI-Body result hostage for medical information and medial exams feels fishy. And the LC, your probable response saying we need all the information to make good decisions, means you need all the "information". read more

I went to get a simple TB test for work. I was told that I would have to pay for it out of pocket because insurance would not cover it. I went ahead and paid but called my insurance and they said it was a covered test and it should be submitted. Kroger told me they could not refund until it was billed to my insurance. Insurance has paid claim and I have yet to receive my refund. I am told it is being submitted for approval of a check to be sent to my house. This has been a whole month. Ridiculous. read more

I visited this location two times in the same week. I clearly have an infection in my throat and was not given anything to help with it, just told to gargle salt water. I went to an urgent care today that gave me an antibiotic and a referral to ENT if my symptoms do not get better. I do not believe I was provided the best possible care from either doctor I was in contact with. read more

I set up a Zoom meeting for a very minor issue. I went the Zoom route as an easy way to get a prescription but the NP never showed. I called the Little Clinic support line 10 minutes later and they said I would be charged a $20 no show fee. I was then transferred to "billing" and the rep said she would "try" and have it removed since I was online waiting. That didn't sound reassuring and so far it hasn't been removed. I doubt I will want to use them again. read more

First, let me say that I do not typically leave reviews. However, I find myself concerned over the care provided by TLC. As a former employee, I was very excited to help a community and individuals achieve better health. Is that not the goal of any NP? This is NOT what TLC does. Management expects one NP to run an office setting by themselves. That is unsafe and creates much room for error that ultimately affects patients' health. It can also result in incorrect billing and patients paying money not truly due. Is there one person at your providers ((doctor, physician assistant (PA), nurse practitioner (NP)) office? Not likely! Second, management expects NPs to fill prescriptions that have been prescribed by another provider (doctor, PA, NP). Any medication prescribed by a provider should only be refilled by that provider. That provider is to ensure the patient is tolerating the medication well, having no bad side effects, doing blood work if needed, and increasing or decreasing the dose when necessary. Having random patients asking for refills is not safe or best practice. You cannot have multiple providers prescribing narcotics so how is a mental health drug or any drug any different. That person may have already had it prescribed and there is no national database to monitor that. Now they have excess of a medication and can give to family, friends, or strangers. Just because this is not a narcotic does not mean it cannot be abused and lead to negative outcomes. TLC creates a platform for communities/individuals to created addiction and abuse drugs. Third, management expects NPs to give medications because they say so. Personal example, a patient arrived to get an injection that was prescribed by another provider. One provider should not manage another providers prescription. That is bad and unsafe practice. The NP does evidenced-based research and discovers that blood work is needed prior to the injection administration. NP refuses to do injection without bloodwork. TLC management instructs NP that bloodwork is not needed per their "bosses' boss". Research proves otherwise. NPs practice is based on evidence not because someone said so. So be careful and ensure you truly are getting the best care. If that medication was administered and the blood level was low the patient could have experienced multiple fractures and breaks. Breaking their back which could have led to them being paralyzed. Patients, please stand up for BEST care and NOT CONVENIENT care. Convenient care may result in corners being cut which can result in negative outcomes in YOUR health! NPs beware that you are expected to run an office by yourself with no compensation. read more

I visited my small clinic inside Fry's on Camelback in Litchfield Park. I arrived 7 minutes late. The receptionist continued chatting with a coworker for an additional 3 minutes No one else was present in the clinic but me Im visibly sick and took every shred of energy to drive myself here When she finally acknowledged me, after an eye roll and a sigh, she informed me that I was 10 minutes late and needed to reschedule. This displayed poor customer service. read more

I was unable to make an appointment with my family doctor right away. I was sick with a sore throat/runny nose. I did not want to go to urgent care so my friend mentioned The Little clinic located in Krogers. No need to make an appointment. Walk ins only. You sign in touch screen computer and the wait was not long at all. There were two people ahead of me so it was a 25 minutes (per person) wait which the staff warned me. They mentioned that I can shop or leave and when they were ready, I would receive a call (only if I am not waiting in the lobby). The nurse practitioner at the time was Jessica. She was really nice and accomodating. It was quick and I was prescribed my medication which was sent to the Kroger pharmacy electronicly. I was told if I don't feel better and gets worse in 3 days, I can come back free of charge. My experience was great and a smooth transaction. I would highly recommend coming here if you cannot schedule an appointment right away with your family doctor. read more

They have been both right and wrong both times I have used this medical facility. Right over all diagnosis, wrong on the viral part. It's been bacterial both times and almost every time I get sick around now in Cincinnati. As a result being wrong, I get worse within days with what they recommend and prescribe me. My spouse has had little luck here as well. For him they were wrong 3/4 times he has gone here. The doctor said if I'm still sick in 2 weeks to come back and get antibiotics. Then the front desk lady says after probing, Kroger has them by the balls and the doctor got in too much trouble giving too many antibiotics. read more

Worst experience to date. My daughter was seen last week for sore throat, swollen tonsils. The Dr. did not check her ears, did not look in her nose, charged us $120.00 for the visit and strep test. Stated it was just a viral infection, when I asked about antibiotics because she had a fever for over a week, she gave me a glare, and rudely stated, her strep test was negative. My question did not need to be answered in that manner, especially when I am paying for your services. Two days later we ended up at a different urgent care, where we were treated with respect, charged a lot less, by a professional physician who did look in my daughter's ears and nose to find that she in fact had an ear infection. The Clinic people at the Oxford, OH Kroger store asked for my insurance before giving me a Shingrix shot in 2021. Then it turned out that the Clinic doesn't submit Shingrix claims to insurance, saying that they do pharmacy and not prescription services (??? I had a prescription!). Lots of time, phone calls, and a check to me from Aetna finally solved the issue. Not worth going to these fools. read more

Couldn't get in, the doors were locked. I had walk all the way around to the other doors & back down! Then there wasn't anyone there. When I finally found someone, she refused to give me the booster! She said I had to call & make an appointment even though she wasn't doing anything & nobody else was there. And I am someone at high risk because of health issues. So if I get Covid because she refused to give me the booster, then I should seek legal advice. Why have the clinic for her to turn people away! Is that why they lock the doors on that side where the pharmacy & the little clinic are located....so to keep people from being treated & getting their meds? Website says walk-ins are welcome... walk in and register to be on the waiting list... 7 hour estimated wait time. Was forced to go to an out of network urgent care which charged $50. I don't know about you, but I usually don't go to the doctor unless I know I can't treat myself at home. I've had tonsillitis before, so I know when it's about to get really bad. I went in yesterday morning, with the intention of getting antibiotics as a precautionary measure. (I could tell I was getting worse.) The wait wasn't bad. When the doctor came in, he took a look at my tonsils and felt my lymph nodes. Then he told me that it's probably viral and that I didn't need antibiotics quite yet. I tried to tell him that I couldn't miss work over this, and that I needed antibiotics. Nothing. I ended up going to the Emergency Room at UC Health, and as it kept getting more and more painful to swallow. I finally got my antibiotics from there, but I just wasted $30 on my copay at The Little Clinic... I paid $30 to have someone tell me that I had to wait to get worse to come back and get antibiotics... Sounds like a total scam to reel in more money to me. I will not be back. I'd rather go to the Emergency Room at UC and have people actually examine me before making a call. read more

I am extremely disappointed with The Little Clinic. It all started when I had an extremely sore throat. First off I rarely get sick so when I feel this poorly I finally suck it up to go to the doctor. I work in schools all over Ohio so multiple people encouraged me to get a strep test to just rule it out, so I went. I am not from Cincinnati originally and am on my mothers health insurance. The woman who was checking people in told me I could not use a picture of my health insurance card and that I had to use a physical copy, I explained to her I didn't have one because I was under my mom and was never given one. Would also like to note that I have used pharmacies here in Cincinnati and this has never been an issue bc they just call the number on the back of the card (which is the same picture I was using at this Little Clinic). She continues to tell me I need the physical card or I can pay the full amount. Well I feel like crap and need to make sure I don't have strep so I pay the amount. I am giving two stars bc the two nurses who examined me were extremely nice and I luckily didn't have strep. After leaving I call my insurance. They explain to me that The Little Clinic can call the number (same number in the picture I had of the card) and that could verify me on the account and that no card is needed. Luckily my insurance is refunding me but besides the point it was still a hassle. I then contact Little Clinic headquarters because I should not have this much of a procedure to just get checked out and that lady should have never treated me the way she did. Little Clinic headquarters did get back to me and apologized for the inconvenience. They offered to contact my insurance for me to process the refund but I told them I already took those steps. Grateful that they did get back to me but it did no make up for the entire experience. Unfortunately for Little Clinic I will never be returning no matter what kind of pain I'm in. read more

We will not be going to The Little Clinic again. My husband has been here two times. The first time he went he was pretty sure he has a sinus infection because he gets one almost every year. The "Doctor" said it was the flu. Turned out to be a sinus infection. The last summer my husband and daughter went for a rash on their armpit and going down their side. The "doctor" said it was a fungus. $130 later they were getting worse and not better. Went somewhere else and it was a simple as poison ivy. A VERY COMMON thing to get in the summer. read more

I am extremely unsatisfied with the Little Clinic in Milford, OH. We sent our 18 year old daughter here with her insurance card and a routine pre-op physical form. She checked in and gave them her insurance card and they charged her a $60 fee. The physical literally took 10 minutes. She came home and told me about the charge (our copay is $25), so I called the clinic. The staff there proceeded to tell me that they do not accept any kind of insurance, and so I asked why the staff did not inform my daughter that her insurance would not be accepted. They said, "opps, sorry". Come on Kroger. We could have gone to the Urgent Care down the street and paid $25, but with COVID19, we were trying to keep that facility less-busy for sick people who really need it. Instead, we got screwed because they took advantage of an intimidated young girl. Sad. read more

The receptionist at this Little Clinic was so rude and nasty I left before being treated. After signing in at the computer I reached for hand sanitize (that was near the computer) and the receptionist not only told me it was hers and to keep off but continued to berate me long after I apologized and explained to her I mistakenly thought it was there for the patients. When I told her I no longer wanted to be treated at that clinic the receptionist said that was fine and then went on berating me, telling me she has that hand sanitizer because she has to protect herself and continued going on until another patient said something. Its sad that the place you go to to get help causes you to feel much worse than you did before going. This receptionist should not be interacting with the public. read more

The medical care was excellent. The administrative processing & customer service is terrible. I got a notice 5 months after service that they didn't have my insurance info. Several of us went for flu shots, apparently they didn't copy the insurance info for one of us. By the time they processed, the insurance said it was too late per their agreement. I called my insurance and found out that they might re-consider if Little Clinic would refile and and explain why they were late. I called Little Clinic with this information. My insurance said I was not responsible. Now 15 months later, I get a collection notice - they turned it over. No other communication. read more

I recently made an appointment on-line for my wife to get a rapid COVID test at our local (Monument, CO) Little Clinic. My wife had had some cold symptoms recently, and we wanted to be sure it wasn't COVID prior to a planned New Year's Eve get-together. Despite having an appointment, it was 45 minutes past the time of the appointment before she got tested. Part of this was due to her having to fill out a ream of paperwork, which asked for all sorts of medical history information that is totally irrelevant for a simple procedure like having a nose or throat swab. I had already provided relevant information that was asked for at the time the appointment was made. Furthermore, she ended up being given the PCR test, rather than the rapid test she was signed up for. Whereas the PCR test takes 3-4 days to get back results, the effort was in vain as far as finding out if it was safe to have friends over on New Year's Eve. Our plans had to be cancelled, as we could find no COVID rapid home tests in stock anyplace. I am not pleased with our experience at The Little Clinic. read more

Members of my family have visited Little Clinic several times and the clinicians are good and professional. Unfortunately their billing office is horrible and extremely rude. They definitely need some customer service classes. I paid our bill within 2 weeks of service - when they continued to send bills I called and sent proof of payment. However, because they have no idea where their payments go they weren't able to track mine down and sent me to collections EVEN though they have proof I'd paid! They treated me like an idiot. We won't go back and will encourage others to follow suit. There are many other options that probably have their act together more than the Little Clinic. read more

I had never been to the little clinic before but had heard numerous great things! I ended up having to go yesterday due to some out of control mouth sores. The women at the front desk was extremely helpful, friendly, and inviting. The nurse helped tremendously and everything was clean, well organized, and everything one there was caring and helped me out with my sickness. Which is all that matters. I went to the little clinic for a tetanus vaccine without an appointment. I got there on a Monday right after work (530-ish) and had only one person in front of me. I signed and in about 10 mins the person before me was checked out. The doctor then did her post patient write up which took about 7 mins and then whisked me into the room. She confirmed which shot I was therefore, gave me the shot in my non dominant arm and off I went. Extremely convenient! I'll be going there for all my vaccines! Only reason I didn't give it a 5 was because of the touchscreen monitor used to sign in. It had trouble reading the input which was a bit annoying. Make sure to use the stylus on the side of monitor to make it your life easier. read more

This concept has potential, but the Paxton location fails miserably. Jessica went this morning to get a strep test. She signed in and was told she was next in line. We sat down and waited for 45 minutes while every random person who came up was seen first. The receptionist/nurse assistant was terribly rude and literally closed the door in our face when we asked why yet another customer was cutting the line. Go here if all you want is a flu shot. Don't trust them to diagnose or treat anything of actual concern. FWIW, there is a Doctor's Express office in the same complex. They have proper medical equipment and understand how to follow a sign-up sheet! read more

This experience wasn't recent, but I still wanted to share. I brought my 6 yr old to this Little Clinic after school when she was complaining of a sore throat. Her PCP is about 25 min away (on a good day without traffic). We saw Chad during her visit. He was amazing with her. He even took the time to call us a couple of days later to see how she was. For non life threatening pop-up medical needs, we always keep the Little Clinic in mind. read more

My outcome of my visit yesterday at the Miamisburg Little Clinic was so subpar that I will never go back to a Little Clinic again, ever. I have had good experiences in the past and was hopeful that would continue. Yesterday's visit changed that. I went in with a cough that I had had for 5 days along with some nasal congestion. I told the LPN that what I was coughing up had been yellow and was starting as of that day to turn green. I have had similar coughs in the past which should have been on my records. Previously, I have been given antibiotics and my body could move onto healing. Yesterday, however, I was essentially given a pat on the head and told that it was seasonal allergies. Come back if you are not better in a few days. UGH! Perhaps I should have pushed back more when I was in the office. I know my body and what I am feeling is NOT seasonal allergies. So, rather than take my chances at ineptitude again, I chose to call a virtual doctor service and now have medicine in hand to actually start to feel better. read more

Receptionist was nice but short. My son just turned 18 and I was with him with two insurance cards but was hesitant to check us because he didn't have his ID. She asked the nurse if that was ok and she said no because my son didn't have his ID and she was about to go to lunch. Lazy, unhelpful and rude. The receptionist wouldn't have asked her if it was ok if it wasn't a something they had probably done before since I'm his mother and was with him AND we've been there numerous times for his sports physicals. I understand protocols and such and the fact that he's 18 and needs his ID BUT obviously they've allowed other 18 yrs olds to be seen or the receptionist wouldn't of asked. The nurse felt lunch was more important and obviously too lazy to take 10mins to see my son. Lesson learned, won't be back. There used to be a British lady that worked there that we loved. read more
