This is one of my favorite gay bars in the DC area. May be I am slightly biased as this one is the closest to our house. The building looks beautiful from the outside. Nice interior decor and outdoor seating with heaters in the winter as well. Outdoor seating has service. That's great. Service has always been phenomenal. They continue to check on us every 15 to 20 minutes. We arrived here around 9 pm and it was packed. We luckily found a 4 seater to catch up with our friends. I haven't tried many of their food yet. Maybe next time I will plan to have some food from them. Drinks were good. I am huge fan of Moscow mule. Never go wrong with ginger beer and vodka. Old fashion was great as well. I heard my friend did not like Negroni. Overall, a great space to be yourself and catch up with friends.

I love this place!!!!!!! The vibe was immaculate! Everyone was so nice and welcoming. I did not try the food but I feel like it would be good. Drinks were kinda pricey but that is normal for dc. Workers were fast and friendly. Would definitely come here again!!!

Great music, staff, and atmosphere. Discovered the owner (who was there) was someone we all knew from a previous bar, and the festivities commenced! Good bar food, great music, and excellent people-watching. I intend to make this a regular stop and so should you.

We randomly come across The Little Gay Pub, and I have to say that we had a great time. First, I was very surprised that the pub was so packed on an early Sunday afternoon. I guess this mean it's the place to be on a Sunday afternoon. If you are not a fan of tight spaces (like me), this might not be the place for you. We were lucky enough to get a couple of seats at the bar - #PHEW. However, the pub does have some outdoor seating. The pub has a few specialty beverage which you might wanna try. At 1st, I thought the cocktails might have been overpriced at 15 bucks, but I realized that the drinks are double-sized. The pub's clientele seemed to be friendly, and somewhat racially diverse. The bartender (a Black woman) was absolutely amazing - probably one of the best bartenders in the city. Although the bar was jammed packed, we rarely had to wait for our next rounds. I had to LOL because I did not understand why the line for the bathroom was always so long because I thought guys were supposed pee fast. After seeing the pub's IG page, the long lines made sense. From the pub's IG page, a lot of folks take plenty of mirror selfies. I guess the bathroom line was long because some folks were trying to get that perfect pose. ;) If none of this has piqued your interest, pub's menu includes Dino Bites!!!!

The little gay pub is truly a unique experience and overall hidden local gem. While visiting the area my friends luckily live a block away from the pub and after dipping in for a quick drink, the pub quickly became a 'last Stop' before each day ended. Coming from the interior design back ground, I was not only inspired by the unique space. I've honestly had to give the designer of the space a bit of kudos for not over saturating the space design. Small details found through the pub really brings in the entire space and while discovering these small details, I'm sure I looked like a crazy person as I was staring at this squirrel, wall paper, and all the details taken into creating this space. Yet whatever, I'm an artist in space design and have a eye for small details. Drinks were amazing and staff are friendly. Patrons can be a bit much with their 'Gay Cattiness's' yet I've personally have learned to ignore these flaws in our community and rack up to the drinks being poured and not being apart of a 'Click'. Which I'm digressing for the subject matter, yet love the pub.....Overall the experience is fantastic and it's tradition to take a selfie and discover the hidden gem within the bathroom. Outdoor space is spacious with bench seating and really enjoyed the heaters built into the picnic tables. Totally took this design and recreated this for a recent project. Best of luck to the owners on your adventure and looking forward to my next visits.

Absolutely great place to go for drinks in appetizers with the people you love I love the staff. They're always nice and friendly helpful a great laugh. It's just the best place to go with really good music.. you must try their drink specials. The drinks are made to perfection. This is a spot you can go to all your long. Summer and spring are the best times of the year to just sit outside with friends and just connect.

I think this place should have a better Yelp rating! One star is probably not fair. First, I appreciate how much outdoor seating they have. The benches are honestly really nice! I also like the decorations. The bathrooms are nice too! And clean. I wish they had more bathrooms though. There was a line! Also, my drinks were good! They tasted good and they looked good. The service was also good. I wasn't expecting that! Super easy and nice.

It is exactly what it claims to be...a little gay pub! And a cute one! I love the flower entrance! The hot girl summer in a glass was so yummy! Great spot to have a drink outside this summer!

The bartender asked if I wanted Tito's, and since Tito's is often treated as a standard well option at many bars, I agreed. I was then charged $18 for the drink without any explanation that it would significantly increase the price. The drink itself was disappointing. The bartender lazily splashed the alcohol without any proper measurement, not even from a spout count , and the Red Bull was flat and came from a previously opened can that been sitting there for a long time. It was flat and only filled about half the drink. As a bartender myself, I found the preparation and service unprofessional. Because of the experience, I chose not to leave a tip. After returning home, I noticed a 20% gratuity had been added to my bill. Between the unexpected charge, poor drink quality, and added gratuity, this was a very disappointing experience.

We were abruptly stopped and told it was a private event by staff. We questioned why there was no signage orwere told by the person carding. Well, the couple we were with, one is the head of LGBTQ content for Buzz feed and the other works for Out Magazine. This was a leisure trip to DC, but looks like they have a new topic for an article. Prior to us getting in our uber to hit the other gay bars. They both took about 15 mins to shoot some content outside. Sad, because we were treated with love at Trade and Number9.

There are many reviews about how unsafe this place is. It's filthy, smells like urine, patrons are…read moreaggressive and employees are rude and disrespectful. Theres another review addressing safety of the bathrooms...same bathrooms Bahbee endorses below, bathrooms with aggressive men that started this whole incident which I was not believed on. Bahbee reviewing below (and giving her place of employment a 5 star review after this incident) is the one who yelled and physically assaulted me with three big men behind her, my husband was a completely sober witness, and he was scared. She escalated the situation and even her managers told her to leave. My husband saw Bahbee PHYSICALLY THROW ME UP AGAINST A WALL. Consider where her review is coming from as an employee (a threatening and rude one at that), and read the rest of the reviews on this place. I'm not saying anything new about this bar, so it's interesting they say I am lying. As I headed upstairs to use the bathroom (not sure why they are saying I didn't use the bathroom because the start of this incident was when I came back out of it)...before I went up there, a man stopped my husband and said "you better go up there with her and be careful." That comment wouldn't be needed if it was truly a place of peace and safety. I didn't volunteer to leave. No one was nice to me - patrons or staff. I did ask to speak to the BARTENDERS as they were the only identifiable staff. I didn't lie about my interaction with the man assaulting me at the restroom or "cry fake tears" and have no rebuttal. Being questioned about anyone's gender was confusing and had nothing to do with the fact of this patron being allowed to be aggressive and harassing, but they wanted me to explain how that patron could be justified in that behavior. So no, I did not have an answer for them defending him. They just kept saying "what do you want me to do about it?" I wasn't being entitled, I was asking for accountability for aggressive and violent people. I was physically assaulted at the restrooms. I didn't say anything but when I came out the same man came at me and was yelling and harassing me, like really close in my face with his hands up at me. It shouldn't matter that they allow men in the same restrooms as women, and if it didn't matter then this wouldn't have happened. This person harassed and assaulted me and I was terrified. I tried to approach the bartender and explain and was told "to get the fuck out". I did not verbally harass the man who did this to me because I was afraid of him, as was my husband. I started crying, I went downstairs to discuss with 2 other bartenders who refused to give me info. Another employee physically assaulted me, threw me against a wall while 3 other men stood behind her as backup. She then followed me downstairs and harassed me until other employees told her to leave. I was kicked out. Not the man assaulting me before I went into the restroom and again after. Don't go here unless you want aggressive men and bartenders who allow it and will also physically assault you. BARTENDERS ALL REFUSED TO GIVE NAMES - assaulting patron, or their names or manager. My asking this info was what they considered combative, there was nothing physical on my end nor was I yelling. If you want to complain or find recourse, especially about assault...you are on your own. They are now trying to lie and say I was screaming and yelling about "what genitals" someone had. This is absolutely not true, like the rest of the story about how everyone was nice to me. This man at the restroom was aggressive and violent and there was no discussion about "genitals", only that a man at the restroom had made me uncomfortable and assaulted me. And any conversation about genitals would not excuse aggressive and violent behavior, as Bahbee seems to suggest it would. That didn't happen - but would it be okay to assault me? They said yes. This bar seemed to avoid accountability at the expense of safety and respect. P.S. when I left I threw my drink (of water...from a clearly identifiable plastic brand water bottle...) at them, which was a big "to-do" (lots of big men screaming in the street about that..) ...enough for them to throw several of their security at it. She wants to say "unknown substance" to add on the lies she has told about the incident...eyeroll, like so sad your bouncers got some water residue barely on them but you can throw me against a wall and let a man physically and verbally assault someone. But hey, when I complained about assault, not so much of a response. Even the women. I did edit my review in response to the lies that this person Bahbee stated in her response to my original review. I do not know this person, they presented themselves as an employee and the establishment reinforced that idea by allowing this person to physically and verbally handle someone, escort them, and manage the interaction.
