Visited this gym while on vacation. Great space and equipment for the price. Staff was very friendly.

Let's start with the good. Lots of space, tons of new equipment, great amenities and the gym is…read morewell maintained. What's lacking? Attentive front desk staff, knowledgeable staff, a welcoming inclusive environment. I worked out here for about a month and was able to get good workouts in each time. However, the vibe in the gym was never right. For the first week, I walked in and greeted the staff (who may respond or not), I never signed in, and went about my workout. I wasn't testing the system, I just didn't know what I was supposed to do. My wife clued me in. Anytime I signed in to use an amenity, it felt like I was interrupting the front desk social hour. The weren't necessarily rude, more indifferent to customers. This is what I saw with multiple interactions, other than myself. I participated and observed several classes with the "trainers". Most don't last 30 minutes as stated. They don't pay attention to form most of the time, and saw very little demonstrations and trainers doing the exercises with the class/group. All of these I would expect to be the focus when your gym model is to attract the untrained. Overall, not the place for me and I wouldn't recommend it to you. if you have already progressed past the point of entry level exercise or can get over the temporary discomfort of being new in a fitness environment, the community at every other gym in the area far exceeds the stale, but new shine of planet staleness.

Speaking on the gym in Zephyrhills, FL, I agree with the aggregate of the reviews. Big gym. Lots of…read moredecent equipment. And, the floors and equipment are usually clean, unless you are coming after the many unpleasant guests who ignore gym protocol. That, however, is not at all a reason you should not invest in this gym. Several folks have commented that the staff is inattentive (lazy). I have actually seen young men and women copulating on the equipment during the free high school summer promotion they run annually. The employees could not be bothered to stop these abased and selfish teens from ruining the experience for everyone around them. Did I mention that they were filming this pornographic event along with innocent guests in the background? Would you like to work out on equipment covered in such fluids? No judgment if you would. Yet, the gym is largely frequented by older seniors who are horrified by the uncontrolled behavior of the youngsters and other aggressive/uncontrolled guests. Some guests ignore all the rules set by the gym, making it an unreasonably uncomfortable experience. Shouting on your phone next to fellow guests for your entire workout? Ignored. Leaving your sweat and bacteria on the equipment? Ignored. Setting up camp on machines used for circuit training? Ignored. Large gym bags on the floor? Ignored. Most respectable people would ask that management maintain standards. They absolutely do not. Look. The kids working are nice. But they are distracted and unprofessional. Not their fault. Entirely management. THAT is why you don't want to give your money to these people. Presently, this gym is managed by an individual who shouts profane language referring to female genitalia while he works out. Shouts. Yells. If you are next to him and his friends while he is working out, you will not hear a thing in your headphones, except his aggressive and explicit speech. The manager and his friends talk with headphones in their ears and over the loud music in the gym. He cares nothing for the atmosphere where he manages, and he cares nothing for anyone except his friends, whom he is working out with. If you are a senior like me who just wants to go and do a quiet workout without being offended, he does not care. If you are a young female who might be threatened or disturbed, he does not care. We are not talking about a standard rude or unstable guest. We are talking about the MANAGER. And get this. He is not available to complain to because he is off the clock, working out on the floor, shouting and spouting his disgusting, pornographic, highly inflammatory language. His body is also covered in offensive tattoos. At least they are all-inclusive in their offense. If you are a Muslim, Christian, Jew, or atheist, you will find something advertised on that man's body that will cause you offense. I'm all for the First Amendment. But, not if he will silence anyone who complains about his loud, profane rants. He breaks gym protocol and wears super revealing gym tank tops, exposing his nipples. Why? He is immune to gym protocol as a manager, of course. If EVER you have a concern or complaint, you will be run out of the gym like a villain by a man who is physically threatening and yelling at you. Not only that, but the manager will fabricate and feed lies to the staff. Accuse you. Write in the notes (not that he can write well or truthfully) that you are a problem with no evidence, no previous complaint, and no video evidence. Just lie to CYA. Wanna risk it? Please don't. you are submitting yourself to a disrespectful school bully. There are many better places to go where management cares about you as a customer. Again, I have been at this gym for over 5 years with little to no issue except the unavoidable riff-raff that ignores all the rules. But, between the mentally incompetent youths (sadly, cause they are nice kids) that staff the front desk and the angry, aggressive, abusive, loud, threatening, and intimidating manager, I have left and will advise everyone to avoid that place like the plague.

This super cute small location holds a powerful punch inside. The staff always has a smile when I enter to check in. A lot of the staff is works the Zephyrhills location as they may sub at both. When you walk in to the gym you see three rows of cardio equipment and a row of weight machines. Against the back wall you will find a free weight area with all the goodies like dumbbells for every weight you need, squat rack, bench, smith machine (if you are into that kind of thing), curl bars, and adjustable benches for inclines or whatever you may need. Also, separating the free weight area from the cardio area is the more common weight machines for pull downs, curls, leg press, etc. Everything is well maintained and organized. People at this gym actually put the weights back where they belong. Another huge plus, no one is just standing or sitting around in the weight area hogging it up doing nothing like the Zephyrhills location. I have quit going there because of that alone. I was close to ending my Y membership but the New Tampa and Dade City locations saved me. Four Stars because tiny and no pool like the other locations.

She wouldn't stop talking down to me. I am an athlete who jogs in different shoes all the time with no issues.. I even offered to sign a waiver, but nope.. she proceeded to argue and degrade how I wear my "shoes"after I drove over 30 plus mins one way.. her rude condescending attitude was incredibly uncalled for, as all my other shoes were in boxes as I just moved, which I explained where there was no flexibility or apology for her rude attitude/ lack of remorse.. I walked away because I didn't want her to escalate. she was cold, calculated and more worried about getting sued over the quality of service customers have apparently.. may she have the day she deserves.
