My daughter has been a fan of the Oceanfront store for a few years primarily due to their selection of OnU necklaces which are very hot with not only young ladies but adult women as well. We have purchased a few of them and enjoyed browsing the store. The location off Laskin is one block from the Oceanfront and Atlantic Ave. Parking in their rear lot is FREE and the store can be accessed by a rear entrance. Parking in front is by meter. The store's walk up in front and back has been clean and neat. The business is situated on a short strip with a couple other businesses. I love the 60's retro feel of the building. Lemon carries home decor, ladies beach fashion, books and lots of unique items that you can't easily find else where. They are well known for a fantastic selection of costume jewelry. The store may be smallish, but it's packed with goodies. The feel is fresh, bright and service immediately welcoming. On every occasion there has been one of the two-three ladies ask if they can assist with no pressure to purchase. Yesterday while visiting my daughter wanted to purchase a OnU necklace. The inventory was depleted as a shipment is due in soon. Chic instructed us to follow their Instagram page which would announce the arrival of the shipment. My daughter happen to be wearing her OnU necklace and had a stubborn knot in it. Chic offered to work on it while we got lunch. Upon returning an hour later the knot was out to a happy young lady. They are located across the street from the Oceanfront library. You have to be looking for it or you may miss it! I saw a clothing rack outside with sale items and was instantly curious to what was inside. Fabre is a new, locally owned boutique that offer unique pieces that you can not get anywhere else. My favorite find was a pair of brightly colored, tropical print Trina Turk shorts. However the shorts were almost $200, which is a little out of my price range. Like 50 cent says, guess I'm a window shopper? Please note that everything in the store is not that expensive. I just have a spiritual gift of being able to select the most expensive thing in a store without looking @ the tag first....The woman working was very friendly and told me to come back when new fall items start to arrive. The floor space is smaller by design, it's a boutique not a warehouse. They focus on a particular fashion and sizes and it works for their younger demographic. My daughter was specifically shopping for a top to wear at a concert. She quickly found what she liked. Dressing rooms are in the rear. Considering she had been looking at the mall for over an hour and found nothing makes me think this store absolutely has something an average chain does not. Checkout was friendly and items placed in a nice bag with tissue. The pricing is higher than other stores. The return policy was explained. It's 7 days for a full refund credit back credit or cash. Over 7 is in store credit. So happy this store worked for my daughter and cannot find any reason why to not provide a full 5 stars.

My three children wanted to take skateboarding lessons. I want to comment about the skate camp first. My kids ended up taking a the week long camp with John Fudala. John and Denise were amazing with them (ages 9,9,6). The kids learned an so many tricks and techniques - I couldn't believe how much and how quickly they learned. Their confidence levels increased every day, and they had an absolute blast. The kids have repeatedly told me that this was one of the best camps they've ever been a part of, and they done many different types of camps during their young lives. John and Denise made it so much fun (costumes, music, pizza, and a mellow environment). As a parent, I really appreciated listening to the life lessons they were teaching the kids about perseverance, practice, and hard work while they taught them how to skate safely. I highly recommend it and hope to come back in August once they've had a chance to practice :) Now, I want to comment about the store experience. My daughter fell in love with skateboarding, so I decided to get her a better board than she had. John and the staff at the store helped us pick out the right board for her. Having been in customer-facing positions my entire life, I am not easily impressed, but I was blown away by Tanner who works at Coastal Edge. She was amazing. She went ridiculously far above and beyond. The backstory is that my daughter had seen the right size, type, and color (pink) the day before, but it had sold by the time we decided to buy it the next day. She saw my daughter - who that day was the only girl at the camp - and wanted her to fall in love with the sport. So, she took my mobile number so i could go to work. Within an hour, she had called every single Coastal Edge location multiple times looking for the right board. She found one, but it wasn't pink. My daughter could have lived with a masculine board, but Tanner saw her in all pink pads, shoes, shorts, etc. and decided that she was going to get my daughter a pink board no matter what. Tanner talked to a friend of hers, Jenah (also another stellar employee), and they offered to take the board home that night, sand it, and paint it pink (with my daughter's favorite things: unicorns, rainbows, flowers) out of sheer kindness. They asked for Isabella's input on the design (I sent them a drawing she had made). They took it and made something really special. The brought it to Isabella on day 2 of her camp. Jenah wasn't working at that location, but came any way to give the board directly to izzy and to watch her take her maiden voyage on it. When I asked about payment, they only asked for some chocolate chip cookies. There is so much to be negative about in the world, but these young women have me hopeful about the future. They made a massive impact on my daughter and a huge impression on me. I will encourage my daughter to pay it forward someday when she's a little older. I never write review either, but this was the very least I felt I should do for what was an amazing week. Any company is only as good as its people, and Coastal Edge has amazing employees. This is a small women's clothing boutique with beautiful, fashionable upscale clothing. The lady working inside was very friendly and welcoming. They had beautiful jeans, blouses, dresses shoes and accessories with a little jewelry in a glass case. There were business suits and blazers with skirts and nearly all types of items for your occasion. Several of the ladies inside were clearly regulars and that was nice to see. Note: this is an upscale store where a dress or blouse runs in $170-250 range per item. So, it's not for the faint of heart but had beautiful pieces to make a statement.
