Maybe they didn't do enough marketing especially for the motorcycles stunt inside the round cage. There were 4 motorcycles at the end inside that cage which is the most amazing feat I've ever seen!! They also have 2 men running inside a hamster like cage and even running outside it, which is similar to one of Cirque du Soleil's Kooza show. I also enjoyed all of the other acts like the woman who was able to shoot the balloon with her feet upside down! Very difficult feats but there were a few mistakes with the ring toss group. The woman asked what kind of party we were having and how old the birthday child was. When I told her it was a 10th birthday party, she immediately said it probably wasn't a good place to rent because they have chandeliers and mirrors that could break if kids were throwing balls. I understand wanting to protect the venue, but the way she responded came across as very dismissive and unwelcoming. There are definitely more professional ways to explain the venue's rules or limitations without making a potential customer feel like their event would be a problem. After that interaction, I told her I didn't appreciate the customer service and decided not to rent the venue. First impressions matter, and unfortunately, this one was not a good one.

The venue was perfect! The main room has an open floor plan with a mirrored wall and mini stringed lights draping the walls giving the room a warm glow. And, it was large enough to accommodate our guests as well as a DJ and photo booth! The back room was perfect for set up of our food and beverages. She set up the venue to our specification. I can't say enough about Chon Renee´ Dance Academy! My girls LOVE going to Mrs. C's classes. She also does other events and workshops throughout the year, so my girls stay active and are able to give back to the community. She has created a sisterhood amongst the dancers and teaches the girls to support and uplift one another. Mrs. C has a true passion and calling for dance. She shows tremendous care and patience with all of her students. I highly recommend Mrs. C's classes. She will help bring out the big star in your little ones! I love looking back and seeing how much my girls have blossomed and became more confidant in dancing since joining her class.

It was very intimate there, with not much of a reception area. Still, they did have snacks available for purchase. Strangely, these snacks were allowed into the theater for consumption at one's seat. I found this both welcomed and off as I was hungry but had nowhere to set my plate and cup during the performance. It was definitely a first world problem, as they say. The bathrooms didn't seem to have heat, which was just a minor annoyance. As far as the show, the company put on a great show with the limited stage space they had available. Some performers were standouts. It was an overall great time. I hope people continue to support this theater, which makes art accessible to more people.

The stage is small and there is virtually no backstage - just a hallway that connects the right and left wings. Downstairs there is a backstage-like area, where performers can change, put on make-up, wait for their scene, etc. It's not the cleanest space, and is very dusty/moldy because the theatre is a very old building. I think it's a historical house, as the waiting area and lobby look like old-time fancy parlors. The acoustics are pretty decent, and there are individual tiered seats in audience. A good choice if you're looking for a small theatre with lots of retro charm. Not good for any shows with a large cast.
