YES.
I would leave it at that but I'll elaborate. Bloody cool charity shop like the thrift stores of old. In the Magpie's Nest you can expect to stumble upon a wall full of chintzy tea pots (please don't stumble into it and break them!), old cushions, vinyl, granny jumpers and basically anything that has survived over 30 years of household use.
And it's all in great condition.
And it's all in the region of £2 per item.
Have always managed to find some splendid (read: hideous) top that no one would wear unless they've got my craving for tacky 80s fashion throwbacks. Which, to be fair, a lot of people do, which is why vintaj shops in the west end charge £20 a pop.
Do yourselves a favour, get your ass down here and binge your vintage heart out on their glorious array of bargains. Or buy some of their fabric and get involved in the Make Do and Mend creative subculture that Glasgow seems to be all about at the mo. read more
