I got my brows microbladed initially by Michell Dao in July 2018. I love the shape and color that she provided - she breathed new life into my brows! In August 2019, I got a color boost (completely normal for the duration of the microblading pigment) with Sarah - she tweaked the shapes of my brows to make them even more fabulous! So happy with their services. Microblading is not a cheap service, and you DON'T want to sacrifice quality by getting a groupon to get this done to your face! I would recommend following the makeup school and/or microblading studio on social media to take advantage of specials they run on occasion! I have also received makeup services for special occasions, and their artistry is top notch. My artist Kellie listened to what I wanted (i described it as subtle drama!), and she was able to deliver! TMSSR offers a variety of permanent makeup services. The way they operate is top notch. Upon booking your appointment, clear and consistent communications and reminders are sent to you. By the time I arrived I had clearly understood what I needed to do before and after my appointment, what to expect, next steps, policies and procedures, etc. The young lady at the front desk was so bubbly and welcoming. Michelle performed my microbladed brows. She was very sweet and answered every question I had. She ensured I was comfortable and well informed before we started. TMSSR performs with top notch cleanliness and seems to take every precaution to keep both them and their customers safe. Prior to the procedure, Michelle mapped out my brows. We were able to discuss and make changes to the outline before we started. She wanted to make sure I liked my outline. It did not hurt! Michelle numbed my brow area so I barely felt anything. The chair I laid in was uncomfortable but she let me take breaks and move around. After she was done, and I got to look in the mirror, I was not used to seeing my brows so dark. However, they do heal and turn out much more natural in color. Michelle provided me with all the tools and instructions needed for my brows to heal properly. It took about 2 weeks to heal. I have received so many compliments since. My brows have been my biggest insecurity but now they are a confident booster. TMSSR really do take pride in offering high quality service. I highly recommend them for your permanent makeup services. Do not go cheap! They know what they are doing! This review is for bridal makeup - loved working with Sarah and her team and coordinating everything with Gaby! With all the wedding stress, sometimes it's hard to just enjoy the excitement of it all and I felt their excitement through emails and in person. Sarah is a legend and I've known of her work for years and all my friends have used her so it was a no brainer that I wanted her for my wedding. She is personable and so much fun to talk to. We were warned from another vendor who worked a previous wedding that they were an hour behind which delayed the whole day. We did fall behind and didn't meet our time for the bride to be finished getting ready by and unfortunately both moms had to get back in the wedding chair (due to the moms wanting to change something) which delayed one of my bridesmaids. I know it happens but think it would've been helpful if the team communicated that we were falling behind on schedule in case there was something we could do. Falling behind on schedule limited our photo time and we missed photos with family/friends that we wanted and going into a first look after being behind felt a little stressful! So, from first hand experience TMSSR is an amazing establishment, wonderful company and great, friendly staff and it honestly starts at the top. My first encounter with Sarah Rillon (owner) was in 2012 getting my makeup done at the MAC counter for a family photo shoot. I've followed her on IG and did not know her personally but have been inspired by her art. A few years later she was the makeup artist for my Sister In Law's wedding, she was on time, personable, focused and made the wedding party look amazing. By this time I was super impressed with her creativity and work. In 2017 when she posted that she entered her next endeavor as a Microblade Tech, I jumped on this wagon and I had no hesitation in choosing Sarah. I had already done research, googled this area, thought about traveling up north to get it done and I never had the courage because it was a new practice with not much info on it and not enough images to reflect quality. I really wanted to avoid a permanent tattoo because I have not seen good results in family and friends. I never hesitated to book my first appointment with Sarah. As previously stated, I had already experienced her professionalism, her craft and expertise first hand and she always created beautiful brows on me with makeup so it was a no brainer to have her do my microblading. Pictures prove she's the real deal. My brows kept it's shape and color for over a year and I just had my most recent yearly touch up (for myself it was 18 months from ORIGINAL appointment). I upgraded to the "ombré" technique where it appears more like I've just done my makeup rather than hair strokes (microblading). That can be confusing, no worries, Sarah really does take the time to explain all her processes along with perfecting those brows before letting you leave her school. Let's talk about the 1990's for a minute. Remember the paper thin eyebrows that were all the rage? Yeah, I didn't have those. I was cursed with monstrous bushy eyebrows that grew everywhere. I'll go as far as saying that I had a unibrow. Yes a good old classic Sesame Street Ernie unibrow. I know, yuck it up people.....I wasn't proud of it then, but as they say hindsight is 20/20. I should have worn them babies loud and proud, that bush adorning my forehead, for had I known luscious eyebrows would be the shizzle in the year of our Lord two thousand and twenty, my decision to over-pluck them bad boys down to the slivers that remained would not have come to fruition. Enter Sarah Rillon and her amazing micro blading skillz. My sister in law and I took part in a special the makeup school was running a couple years ago where we got a discount when we both booked at the same time. We each paid $450 and then were booked out as we both preferred to work with Sarah (She's super busy ALL THE TIME). Why am I writing this review years later you ask? Well, because I've just completed my color boost. My initial brows literally lasted almost 2 years with no touch ups. Your mileage may vary because this is a tattoo on you face, so in some cases color retention for people doesn't last that long, thus the need for the color boost appointment. Another reason my color boost follow up took so long was schedule conflicts which TMSSR was always nice about and due to covid and the fact that I wasn't having any issues with my brows from my initial appointment, therefore I didn't mind the changes and was very amenable. Her unparalleled skills and talents work wonders with all her magical tools to transform you into anything you want. She listens to you, makes recommendations, and encourages you when you're wanting to venture outside your comfort zone as well as enhance what makes you're comfortable with. And if you aren't familiar with microblading, it's a procedure similar to tattooing however it's semi-permanent and it's a technique where a handheld tool with a blade at the end that creates and mimics natural hair. She had a wonderful, wonderful 2-for-1 Black Friday special priced at $600 for two people. What a deal! I rallied one of my best friends to go in with me and we are just super happy and satisfied with our results thus far. I've now been in for my initial procedure and follow-up perfecting appointment. Her aftercare kit comes in handy and she's very accommodating and willing to answer any Q's or concerns you maybe have. Sarah and her staff is just so professional, so personable, and so bubbly. The ladies who work here are all wonderful. Sarah has been helping me with saline removal following microblading that was not good (done elsewhere). It is much improved after 3 saline removal treatments and I'm feeling confident she can help me achieve the look I wanted. I also recently brought my mom in and she and I took a makeup class from Gaby. It was such a fun and positive experience and made for a great mom's day gift for my mother. Mom is interested in trying to date again after some time "out of the game". I think the makeup class may help her feel a bit more confident to show off what a great lady she is. We were given many great makeup reccomendations for products that would work well in combination with products we are always using. In my opinion and experience with Sarah Rillon, is that I discovered something personally disturbing, and cancelled my appointment within 24 hours. She refused to go back on her cancellation policy, although I told her I was too nervous and needed more information than she could provide to micro blade my eyebrows. Literally a tattoo on my face. I was not comfortable letting her tattoo my face without providing me the necessary consultation information I requested . This was in the beginning of March 2019 and to this day Sarah has kept my $450 and contacted an attorney to threaten me several times with a seize and desist because she did not like my poor review of how she handles her customers.
