Walked in said they are only by appointment. Scheduled a 7:30 appointment for same day. Went in for my appointment and the lady completely fucked yo my haircut. (She looked like she had been strung out on meth). Even her haircut was absolutely terrible. I should have known to just walk out right then and there. I had asked her I want to keep my part, and she completely just destroys it. I can't even part my hair EDIT: Talked with the manager. She scheduled a haircut with me and fixed it. Gave me a refund. I was satisfied by the way she not only fixed my hair to the best of her ability, but somehow made me feel like it was okay to schedule another appointment with her. I am very disappointed. Been to The Man Salon many times and normally have a good experience. Seems to have gotten really bad. I go in and notice hardly any cars in the parking lot. Go in and no one is waiting with a few stylists just standing around. I ask for a cut and get told the soonest is 2:30pm. I was told this at 1pm. Again. No one was waiting and employees standing around. Honestly, this was not the first time this has happened. They need to put up a sign that says "Walk-Ins NOT Welcome". Horrible service. My son and I get our haircuts from Donna, who is by far the best stylist you can find. Donna takes the time to understand what it is we are looking for, and matches it to a T. I would definitely recommend this place to others since they offer a wide variety of stylists, products, and services. Even if you have to wait a few minutes it better than most other places around town when it comes to time and quality. read more

I just want to say Tori was the nicest person to ever cut my hair at a salon. We talked about me leaving for the Navy and how she came from a military family. As I'm about to pay at the end she tells me she is going to take care of it for me. When I get back I definitely will be visiting The Man Salon again! read more

Scheduled appt with Sarah - when I got there guess she was behind so got stuck with Kaylie Letcher -- she proceeded to ask me how to cut my hair... how would I know how to cut my hair... needless to say walked away with a complete hack job totally not even close to my normal haircut that I get. I would totally steer clear of her...... not professional in any aspect - not sure how long she has been a stylist but she's got lots to learn - total bummer and thumbs down. read more

Christine (Kristine?) did such a great job at cutting my fiancés hair!!!!! He has very thick hair and she did such a great job at texturizing and thinning it out, while keeping his hair in a fade. She really spent time making sure it was what he wanted and making sure it was perfect. They are very busy so I recommend making an appointment. They're busy because they're just that great! I'll start by stating that I've been going to the Man Salon at the 41st Street & Western Avenue location in Sioux Falls for a couple of years, and am very satisfied with the services. I decided to try the recently opened Arrowhead Parkway Man Salon, and the experience couldn't have been more of a polar opposite. I and my adult son arrived for our scheduled appointments at 7:00PM, me for a haircut, my son for a haircut and beard trim. We arrived at approximately 6:55, and the receptionist checked us in. My son was called for his haircut at 7:25. After his haircut, he was told "we're running behind and close at 8:00, we don't have time for your beard trim." I was then told, at about 7:40, "I'm sorry, sir, we ran behind today, and as we close at 8:00, we don't have time for your haircut. Can you come back tomorrow?" Unbelievable. And I had made this appointment a few days in advance. I saw a couple of staff (stylists?) standing around seemingly doing nothing during this time, there seemed to be only one person actually "working". I will go back to the "original" Man Salon, but the ownership needs to "shape up" his/her new location! read more
