They had a lot of really cool stuff but I had an uncomfortable first experience. While I was browsing, an employee followed me around the store, which made me feel uncomfortable. When I asked if you accepted credit cards, I was told the card would have to be verified by contacting the credit card company. I asked if this was done for everyone, and I was told yes. However, after reading other reviews and the owner's responses, it seems different customers are given different explanations of the verification process, which makes the policy seem inconsistent. Honestly, I only bought a $5 pair of earrings with cash, but I had planned on coming back to shop for more. Instead, I left wondering: at what purchase amount does this verification happen? Is it for every credit card transaction, or only certain customers? I wasn't expecting a simple question about payment methods to turn into a discussion about verifying my identity. The whole interaction left me feeling unwelcome, and I hope whatever policy is in place is applied consistently to every customer. read more

Fun place with sooo many shops inside. It's a bit overwhelming how much there is to see and where to even start. I do find these places a bit hard to shop in as everything is locked up so it becomes overstimulating to remember what you want, go all the way up to the front, ask for help, go back and show the item. Also they do have bathrooms in the very back wall. This is more of a walk and observe kind of thrift store consignment place over my actual interest in buying anything. They did have a few areas open to be rented out! read more

Was fun looking at all the stands, but prices were very high considering the location of the shop. Felt a lot of stands had similar items but a lot were unique. No employees walking around, just the main cashier who was visibly loud. Found there to be MANY vendors hanging out, talking about theirs and other vendor stands, some were refreshing so we could go into their booth. The very back room had no A/C and it was a bit unbearable as it was a hot day- I feel bad for vendors in the back. Randomly a few glass displays were vendors selling POP MART toys and a few overpriced Labubus. Felt it was weird for a vintage/thrift market. What a great place for vintage stuff! Great for collectables & people that love old classic items & toys. From old creepy cool clowns that your grandma had to toys, furniture, clothes, house items & old Playboy Magazines yes Playboy baby! The clothes are ok, this place is better known for vintage house items or for people who love collecting older stuff which I love. The customer service is great, very helpful & friendly. The store is big so take your time looking through shelves, aisles & items there can be some hidden treasures you might miss. Somethings are a bit expensive tho. That's why look carefully, I actually saw the same item in different areas & one was $15 more than the other. But they also have a lot of good stuff at good prices. Love the Mart! Was so excited when I heard consignment classics was opening up a store close to me. Since they've opened I've been here at least once a month. This location is about half the size of their location by sports arena but packed with goods! Theres a few booths that are my go-to that are beautifully curated. Prices vary by vendor obviously but overall I found that for certain items like paper ephemera the photos and other paper goods were a few dollars cheaper than other stores which is amazing. Stock is always changing so if you come often, there is still something new to discover. They often have sales where booths will offer 20% off if you take a picture on your phone which is a plus! Located in the former Rite Aid space next to Bank of America in the Vons plaza with plenty of parking. The Mart is so cute! It's like a thrift/consignment store made up of individuals who rent the space to sell their goods, kind of like a pop up shop. You won't see the seller at all and pay up front. Very organized and themed. We went aisle to aisle to not miss anything. You'll find vintage, antiques, luxury items and just about anything here. Both new and used. Unique items from all decades. Great for costume event or Halloween. I was interested in a renting a space to sell some of my wardrobe and closet items but they were completely full. They said to check back often or their other locations. We ended up buying a pair of lightly worn Puma men's sneakers for $20. Suck a steal! There's a hang out area for your partner to sit and wait while you shop..lol. read more

My husband and I spent a couple of hours here yesterday. I think for someone who gets overstimulated this is a heads up that you will get overstimulated since there are so many vendors and so many items. Mostly reasonable prices minus some of the artwork and records. A lot of items were in glass cases so that would require you to 1) know what you want 2) ask staff in the front for help. I thought the selection was a bit redundant. I was disappointed that there wasn't a designated crotchet section but instead crotchet blankets everywhere. More organization would be helpful! read more

Wow. There's so much cool stuff here. I was so inspired by all the vintage treasures. I spent 3+ hours in this store with my girlfriend. She was begging me to leave after the 2nd hour :D. I attached an image below; where else have you seen a table composed of two human statues holding it up, kneeling? I can totally imagine myself in an ancient Chinese wuxia with this table, kowtowing. Unfortunately, this was too vintage for house's aesthetic. Great store to spend time shopping. Note, the prices here are NOT cheap though. I would definitely consider this an antique store vice a thrift store! Prices are more on the upscale however, they do have some pretty cool stuff! When you first enter into the store, they do ask you to measure your bag in this container, kind of like the airports lol! If it's bigger than a medium purse size they do request you to turn in your bag. I am content that it's at the very beginning of the store so you're not blindsided about it. This is a fun little place to go if you have a little bit of time to spare Parking lot is super easy. It's in a big shopping center so parking is not an issue. The store itself is huge with each individual little booths Unfortunately, how things go. People tend to crowd around the booth that are featured online so it's hard to actually look at them. I was super excited to visit and was impressed with the amount of stuff they had for sale. Huge selection! However, when I walked in it was a very awkward and uncomfortable experience. I was never greeted by multiple staff inside, okay fine. And instead I was being followed by an employee watching my every move. The employee tried to not make it obvious, but after 30 minutes of being followed around I left. I've never had an experience like this and won't be coming back. *updating that I was not asked if I needed any help. So. Much. Stuff. I mean, you could spend four hours here and only see a fraction of what they have. The range of items and collections offer something for everyone and the prices were quite reasonable as well. And every single person we dealt with there -- either a staff member or fellow shopper -- was SO nice. A place like this brings out the best in people and the best people we met were the two staff members at the checkout who helped us buy a gift card. I stop by with my husband to see what's this place is all about. I was impressed. Their vintage stuff is outstanding. You can tell someone put a lot of effort into the display. When you see the items they perfectly place with other items to look like a real vintage bedroom or vintage living room. It makes you feel you are actually in someone's real living room. I enjoy seeing all the antiques, high end bags, and furniture. They even offer a wide range of clothes. They got alot of toys and music options. Video games and movies. There were so many options. You are bound to find one thing you wanted. It felt like I was in art museum. It was so well put together and the music is so nice. You can walk around and nobody would badger to buy something. I was asked by several people if I had visited this store; I was not aware this store existed in San Diego, I visited the store last weekend and was very pleased to see people buying collectible items. I felt that the market had disappeared and the audience was gone. Very large selection of collectibles and vintage items. I ll return and spend some time going through the various shops within this building. Plenty of parking. This will be a great place to shop in the winter days. The Mart is a vintage and consignment space with a multitude of vendors! I've been several times now and it's such a great place to walk through and find unique home decor, trinkets, furniture, and really cool vintage finds! Clothing is a hit or miss and can be on the pricier side because they're labeled "vintage" (found a Forever21 "denim" jacket that was priced at $50) but it also depends on the vendors that they have; I definitely would not come here to 'thrift' for clothes. The folks running The Mart and who are up front are very helpful, friendly, and welcoming. If you're in the area looking for something fun and laid back to do, would definitely recommend setting aside time to walk through each individual vendor booth! read more

I've shopped here a few times and have found fun items to add vintage character to my home. The staff has always been helpful and friendly and the booths are well cared for and generally not overly cluttered. The prices can be a bit high for the more popular MCM pieces, but it's on par with other antique/vintage stores that I've been to in terms of product and price. read more

I was excited to go here so when I was in the neighborhood, we stopped, parked and proceeded to go in the store. We weren't even greeted by who ever was at the front desk (not a biggie) but when she wanted us to measure our purses in a small box like it was TSA at the airport and they didn't fit before we entered the store, she became very curt and we were abit confused because she wanted us to leave our purses at the front desk (which even if I took my wallet out of my bag) my purse alone was probably worth more than most of the stuff in her store. My girlfriend and I even tried to joke about it with her because it was such a ludicrous "rule" and she gave no explanation and offered no apology to why we would be required to leave our purses at the front desk, then we could proceed to enter into the store. We literally thought we were being "punked" or filmed on candid camera show. We could have left our purses in my locked car but wasn't even going to do that to support this business. We 100% absolutely left. I understand about their concern for shoplifters but I will not be treated by a business like I'm one of them the moment we stepped into their door. ***If you are a vendor here, I'd rethink paying for space here and go somewhere else. ***If you are a shopper/buyer here just know that our experience at The Mart will be yours, I don't even want to go into the race card but reading others experiences here I don't think it was that. I'd definitely Rethink shopping here. This is such a cute store. A hidden treasure with so many neat items. From vintage clothes, shoes, bags, furniture. I live in the area & one night me and my mom decided to take a look. I would have gave it 5 stars but there was an employee short black hair Asian decent with glasses who literally was following us to the point I had to say something. We've never had this experience anywhere else. We were extremely shocked and taken back by her actions we left. I did end up going back the next day (thats how neat the store is) & bought a $400 table. I felt more comfortable and that lady of asian decent wasn't there. P.S This store has potential to be around for awhile. Possibly just train the staff a bit better not to stereotype people you'll loose a lot of money and customers that way. Wow! Pleasantly surprised at the selection and organization of this thrift/vintage space! I enjoyed my time browsing the selection that ranges from clothing to furniture to collectibles and more! Will be back to spend more time looking through. Didn't have time to explore it all. I did find a blouse that I loved! Some of the other unique and good quality shirts rang at around $30. I do not recommend shopping here. They "require" that you provide your personal information to make a purchase, which is absurd, unnecessary, and I'd suspect violates consumer rights considering I was told they would not sell the items unless I provided my personal information (check out the California Consumer Protection Act). Items are overpriced. Shop elsewhere. If they respond here saying they don't require personal information for purchases, don't believe them. It's a business and their only concern is to make money, not respect consumer privacy. read more
