I have been going to different MTs all over the GTA and in my opinion, Joan is truly the best one! Everyone and everything about the place was great! I called several days earlier to book Joan (recommended by a friend) and the receptionist whom I spoke with was friendly and accommodating. I love that they give you an email reminder the day before so I wouldn't forget the appointment. The place was super clean and the fact that I booked the massage for 8am, there was no one there besides the MT and I, making the place nice and relaxing. I really hate to go to places where the walls are thin and I can hear people talking outside. The massage was seriously the best! Joan was super nice and made sure I was comfortable. She definitely focused on the areas that needed more work (shoulders, upper back). Perhaps it is because Joan is a Athletic Therapist, but she knew exactly how to go about the problem. Overall, I will definitely return for my next massage and I will definitely be recommending this place to my friends and family for not going massage therapy but other services that they provide such as physiotherapy and osteopathy.

Clients are paying for a professional experience, and the clinic is failing to deliver on even the most basic level. Management needs to get it together. I am a professional dancer who has some old injuries, sour muscles, and who experiences different seasons of working with my body: from performance season to training and self-work season etc. along with all aspects of daily life that take a toll on my most precious tool. She is so knowledgeable about the body, about how our emotions, stress and health matters affect our body physically, and how to care for ourselves internally. Whenever I come for services, we are able to talk about what health issues may be causing what response, and I am better able to understand the impacts of past injuries, how to prevent them in the future and how to care intentionally about certain parts of my body moving forward. I have never met a masseuse with such a range of knowledge and understanding of massaging and who uses different massaging techniques, pressures and methods in an intentional and intuitive way. Not what I had pictured, given the name of the massage. Tea was good though. My reflexologist was Harry, an RMT. I felt that my experience was subpar in comparison with what I could see from Linda, the masseuse that was working my mom's feet non-stop. I was making light conversation with Harry who often paused throughout. This was noticable to my mom who made mention of it to me in another language even though I was aware. I didn't want to make a fuss and said all was good. The foot massage was decent. I had higher expectations though considering it's specialized and geared towards feet but basically felt that I could have gotten a great full body massage at my regular spot with a foot massage included. Harry noticed swelling in one of my calves and was careful when working my leg. He pointed out plantar fasciitis, which I've also pondered as having. It was refreshing to see that he was observant to these subtle differences. My mom enjoyed her massage greatly in spite of the sensitivity she experienced as a result of tense muscles and tender points. Now this is where things get murky.. At the time of my booking, the lady who was booking us in mentioned that instead of purchasing another Groupon, to buy direct from the store and they would match the price I paid for the Groupon for another massage. When I brought this up to the two ladies at the front reception, seeing as I was keen on purchasing another two (one for mom who obviously enjoyed it and to give myself and the place another chance), I was told that this was incorrect and that I could not receive another Groupon massage. I was trying to explain that it wasn't for another Groupon but based on the information relayed to me, that a price match for two reflexology massages would be honoured. The point was completely missed as I kept getting told that the deal is based on a body massage, which made no sense to me and as such, didn't pursue the matter further. The place is clean and the area we were seated in is comfortable. We sat on leather sofa chairs resembling massage chairs. Would have been amazing had they really been. I liked that they maintain hygiene by placing plastic bags in wooden pails as opposed to a foot basin. Employees are nice. Not everyone speaks English well so communicating poses as a challenge, especially when you're trying to understand why pressure points are achy, which ones and ways to alleviate the tension.

Check-in was easy to do and my RMT was thorough when explaining to me what we would be working on that day and kept checking on me to make sure I was comfortable. She worked out alot of the knots on my neck and upper back and I left feeling like a new person. They also do direct billing which was so helpful and made the whole process much easier. I will be getting my massages from here all the time!
