The gym is good, it has great equipment, but hard to enjoy with volume so loud it vibrates! I visited this Planet Fitness when I was in town for work. I'm a black card member, so I get to use…read moreany location for up to ten visits per month, and this is a great perk when traveling. The staff at this Planet Fitness greeted me when I arrived and on my way out. At check-in, I didn't experience any snags- just swiped my card and walked in (no signing in or showing ID, etc). Unlike other locations, there's no kiosk to sign up for black card services like the tanning and massage beds, which was a little confusing for me compared to Charleston, but the manager saw that I was confused and signed me in. The Black Card area isn't as large as other Planet Fitness locations, but the facilities were clean, and the tanning bed rooms even have mirrors. My guess is the Black Card benefits may not be popular here since this is Florence's only Planet Fitness. Florence is a small town and this is one of the smaller Planet Fitness locations. The cardio equipment doesn't have personal viewing screens, but TVs on the wall offer local channels, news (CNN and Fox News), and sports (ESPN). I was a member of another local gym when I lived here, and my gym membership is a big priority for me, but this Planet Fitness is good enough for casual working out and the occasional gym trip when I'm in town for work.
