I don't know what happened but now my phone doesn't work at all in this store. One of their associates told me that I could log into their wifi. I tried it and it still didn't really work. I had to go to their electronics section just to text someone. The store itself is a hit or miss. It's definitely a one stop shop for all your needs. I usually come here for the basics like almond milk, butter, eggs, chips, etc. Their prices have gone up so much since I started coming here. So now, Walgreens is the only game in town. The pharmacy part has been closed all week. Apparently one of the pharmacists just quit and they were understaffed. We were told they'd be reopening on Friday, but when I called I was informed that the only remaining pharmacist had a family emergency, so they would not in fact be open. Fine. It happens. Not mad at the pharmacy staff, they're people too and things happen. However, I think it's a little ridiculous that a large corporate chain with the resources of Walgreens has no better solution in this circumstance than to drive 30 miles to the next closest location. I would think they would pull staff from a different location temporarily, or offer a courier service. Nope. Just sending folks to the next town over. Which, considering the current gas prices, is not ideal. I don't know about the regulations, but there just kind of seemed to be a lack of concern and not a lot done on the part of management to bridge the problem in the interim. The community this location services has a high amount of older folks with limited means. The person I was picking up the prescription for is wheel-chair bound and doesn't have her own transportation. If I hadn't been visiting from out of town and able to make the drive to Milford, she would have run out of her medicine, which could have caused severe side effects. Have to give a shout-out to the pharmacy tech I spoke to on Friday, she was super sweet and gracious and understanding. Have no qualms with the staff who man (or try to man) this location so far, but the higher operations seem to really have dropped the ball. Considering that there's no alternative and you can't simply drive five minutes and go to a different pharmacy, I absolutely hold them to a higher standard. How do you just not operate for most of a week when you have a whole community depending on you? How do you assume that every one of your customers will be able to make a half hour drive for meds, and not offer any accomodation or alternative for those who can't? Not feeling great about the fact that my family has to rely on this location given the circumstances. Really hope they improve.

If you are a responsible user, 18 years or older, trying to get clean syringes without a…read moreprescription (which is completely legal in NJ) to prevent infections and the spread of diseases such as HIV or hep C, do not expect the pharmacists here to be of any help! I look at clean syringes as being similar to condoms. If someone wants to use drugs nothing is going to stop them as with sexual intercourse. To deny one the means to do so safely and responsibly because of personal beliefs is plain unprofessional and detrimental to the person's health and the public's safety. When I asked politely for a pack of syringes at this location I was given a nasty attitude and was lied to straight to my face. The pharmacist walked over to where the syringes were, looked down at the full box (which I could clearly see), and told me "sorry we're all out." Still being polite I asked her if she could possibly direct me to a location that could help me out and might have some in stock, to which she nastily replied "nope, sorry, looks like you're out of luck." Fortunately I knew from experience that the Rite Aids in Paterson NJ would sell them without all the BS, but it was a huge inconvenience having to take the hour drive out there when I could have gotten them right there in Hamburg. Overall I'm disappointed and disgusted with this locations customer service.
