Seriously the best daycare I have had the pleasure to put my 1 year old in! I had a request for diaper change every hour because of his sensitive skin. Without fail, they do it and he has NEVER come home with a rash, unlike his previous providers. The owners are amazing. If they never have met a parent and even if you have a key card to enter the building, they still want to see your ID; which gives me additional sense of security. They have an option to rent a key card so each parent can buzz in. No key card? You have to ring the doorbell. Again, amazing sense of security for me and the kids LOVE to swipe the cards at the door! I also love the protective/privacy of their playground. 1. No weirdos can just pass by to observe the kids. 2. It's separated by appropriate age groups for what equipment they play on and 3. It's protected so the kids aren't always exposed to the sun =sunburn. The director is so awesome and patient, and very strict on the rules for EVERYONE. I haven't seen favoritism at all, which is something I like. She can't be talked into bending the rules for a pitty story from the parents. Lastly, the teachers are AHHHMAZING! They outwardly show how patient they are with these kids and are so patient with parents, too. You can see the love and genuine care they have for each child. Parents, please read this before choosing this school. I debated writing this review, but after our experience--and the lack of any follow-up--I feel other parents should know. During the tour and orientation, the school was warm and welcoming. We were told about a "take a village" approach, that every child is different, and that teachers would adjust their style to meet each child's needs. As a first-time school parent, that sounded perfect. That was not our experience. On my son's first day, things were already confusing. He was placed in a classroom that wasn't actually his assigned room, and we were told his teacher wasn't available yet. I made it very clear that this was his first-ever school experience and that he had no idea what to expect. Less than two hours after drop-off, we received a call saying he had been pacing, humming, not following circle time, and had hit a teacher and attempted to scratch another child. I want to be clear: I do not excuse those behaviors. But I was shocked at how quickly my four-year-old--on his very first day of school--was judged as not being a good fit. We were also told he should be tested for autism based on those first couple of hours, which was incredibly upsetting. What made it even more difficult is that during orientation we were told the school would be patient, flexible, and supportive of children adjusting at their own pace. That was not reflected in our experience. He was given less than two hours to adjust to a completely new environment before conclusions were made about him. The hardest part was picking him up and seeing that he was actually happy--playing, engaged, and not wanting to leave. He cried the entire way home because he wanted to go back to school. After all of this, the school never followed up with us or checked in on him. I understand schools have to protect staff and other children, and I understand not every school is the right fit for every child. But there is a big difference between saying that and making a first-time student feel like he failed on day one. I'm sharing this so other parents--especially those sending their child to school for the first time--ask very specific questions about how adjustment periods are actually handled. We tried another daycare in the area before settling on the Melbourne Preschool. We almost immediately saw a change in our child's willingness to go to school each morning. The teachers, staff and owners all became like a second family for these past 3 years. read more

My daughter attended the Melbourne preschool for the entirety of the program. I can attest to the benefits of their extremely attentive and informed curriculum by the fact that she went on to Bethany Christian School in Melbourne and has maintained top of her class now from grades 1 thru 3 . I'd give this place a zero if I could. My sisters signed up my niece and nephew on a Monday under false pretenses from the administration. They asked all the right questions about ratio of children to staff, training and certification, ect. Monday night we went through the DCF website and saw on Friday 6/7 they failed inspection for improper ratios and staff certification, and have 30 days to become compliant. We went in today to request a refund and the director gave my sisters $15 each, a complete slap in the face and said the registration fees were non-refundable. We asked to speak to the owner, who minutes before greeted us warmly and he changed his tune when we asked for our money back. He claimed they signed paperwork acknowledging it was non-refundable and when they went to pull the children's file so I could see that, flipped through the pages and put the files away. I strongly believe there to be no such signed form. We then requested the intake form that had my sisters and brother in laws SSN's on them be given to us or shredded and the director became combative and asked us to leave. We kept going back and forth until she did eventually shred them in front of us. When we arrived, they were also enrolling another student and had zero concern for the mother's privacy and openly discussed her food stamps, and case # in front of us. They also store student files including PII in an open space rather than locked up safely. Be warned parents, this is not a positive environment and they are hiring staff that is not certified to stay with your children. There is a reason this center has no waiting list and limited reviews online, they have shut off the ability to leave a Facebook review. I'm just glad we found out about their poor business practices and lack of professionalism before my niece and nephew attended. My daughter has been at this school for 3 years now and we are beyond impressed with the care she receives there. The director is always available, positive and willing to help. Honestly feels like I'm dropping off my daughter with family. The environment is clean, safe, and they are always getting new stuff for the kids. I wouldn't bring my child anywhere else. read more

Their policy encourages parents to bring their children in sick. Think about being a good parent and taking your child out for a week because they are sick and you don't want to infect the rest? Pay the full week, because you didn't fill out a vacation form. I understand businesses need to project and sustain income, but understand that this policy will encourage all parents to bring in sick kids. Their biting and hitting policy is different per child and it's up to the director to enforce or not enforce. Most day cares understand that biting or hitting is a developmental stage yet this day care will not try to stop it. They won't try to separate, nor will they won't try to detect triggers and prevent occurrences. Just simply 3 warnings and you are kicked out. Warning number 3 came on the same day as we were on the way to pick him up after warning number 2. I understand biting affects other children, and the business has to take it seriously. Our child was in this daycare for less than 2 months, but just be prepared to have no help from the teachers nor director. read more

I felt it quite necessary to write a review for any parents contemplating sending their children to this school. There is zero accountability, there are no videos that one can view, there are no pictures of children sent home, there is no opportunity to speak to your children's teacher. Today, the owner of said preschool and the director were both verbally aggressive towards me over a pair of water shoes that I had forgotten this am when dropping my 3 year old grand daughter off. I was not allowed to leave her at school so she could eat breakfast, once I forgot I left them home. I was told that she could absolutely not be left at school. I than returned with my grand daughter and her water shoes a 45 minutes later (our travel time), I asked the director to please put them on her, they were in her back pack once I was asked why they were in her back pack. The owner than became verbally aggressive leaving the front desk area, raising her voice. My grand daughter began crying as she carried on I was not to "sass" the director. I didn't realize that being a director one can not put a child's water shoes on prior the water event when a guardian/parent is running late. Needless to say they than asked me to take my grand daughter, not return to the program, as she cried all the way home repeating my teacher yelled at me. If you cannot handle your emotion's when dealing with water shoes and a parent/guardian than one does not belong running a daycare facility. I have never been treated this way ever. I was in total shock, I felt horribly for my grand daughter as I stood there begging them please stop yelling and allow her to have her water day that she had been looking forward to. There are many other daycare's in the area. Don't tolerate less than what you deserve and your child. read more

I have to say, the reviews below are spot on. Without going into detail, they kicked my son out on Warning number 2. They constantly had my son in time out, constantly told me he was the problem, constantly made me feel as though I was failing as his parent. I never saw the issues at home they claimed were going on at school. Odalis the director is a sweetheart and I don't think she would have treated us this way if she wasn't working for that AWFUL director REBECCA ARSIC. She came flying out around the corner raising her voice at me, telling me she "can't stand" when parents baby their children as I comforted my son who was crying and shaking uncontrollably in time out. She is horrendous. I can't even imagine how she treats the children if this is how she treats adults. My son left that day. He is at a new school now and guess what? NOT ONE BEHAVIOR ISSUE. Not one call, concern, nothing over my child's behavior. He is thriving and doing great. Wish we had left sooner read more

Who gives a barely 3 year 2 weeks to potty train then kicks them out after 1? Most children don't potty train until their 3rd year and high pressure potty training is never recommended. This place is a joke. read more
