We went in to Patisserie Valerie and they were very welcoming saying they too were closing but were happy to serve us. The coffee was good italian style. Every single time there is a different pastry to try (or so it seems), along with cakes, sausage rolls (normal or spicy), chocolate, macrons (so many varieties - my favourite being salted caramel) and the most amazing different kinds of bread. Everything he sells is made the morning before the bakery opens and there is a limited amount. Once it's sold out its sold out! There are a few small tables and a sofa and it can get quite busy at the weekends. The guy who runs the place is very nice, as is all the staff. We love to sit down, order food and drinks, relax then take home tons of stuff to eat throughout the day! X

I have to say I was a bit sceptical of the huge macaroon/macaron trend in general, but these little bites were AMAZING! Originally we were just planning on trying some of the samples but we couldn't help but buy a bunch to share amongst us. My favourite were the buttery, berry ones, but the grape/elderflower and the salted choc were stunning as well. I've already signed up to their mailing list and can't wait to order more goodies for my bd!
