went in here once and was sadly dissapointed.....call this a gay bar.?.....a poor excuse for one at…read morethat....there was an offensive drag queen performing and most of the clientelle were hetrosexual couples and families....not really the place to go if u are a single gay man, on your own,,,,,,,stood at the bar and tried to speak to this lad and he could hardly string a sentence together......I soon took the hint that i wasn;t wanted in here, and felt so out of place that i left and got the bus home.......never again......!!

Comfy decor with a few local ales provided by friendly staff. Staff might be a bit too trusting however as when I was there someone walked out without paying!

There is a small outdoor area (decking) for the warmer months, pool table, darts, and cheap melas on offer. It was also recently licensed for late drinking hours but to the relief of nearby residets this has now been revoked. It also has a large screen for the big sporting events. However this pub sometimes seems to suffer from the wrong customers.

This pub is more popular with the…read moreolder generation, and it's local customers.There is a good sized dancefloor with a D.J at the weekends and lots of seating providing enough space for all. Over the years this pub has suffered along with a number in the area and in nowhere as busy as it used to be, especially at weekends. No private car park but there is nearby parking available in the town. The venue itself is clean as are the toilet facilities.

Didn't sample the scran, although there is a rumour (unconfirmed) that Trevor McDonald regularly scoffs Chicken Kievs there. However, I was appalled that several ruffians were in attendance, two with young bairns in tow one of whom was the spit of Mick Hucknall not a good look I'm sure you'll agree. Imagine the abuse he'll get in later life. One or two of them could sup, though, which is to their credit and would have bumped the rating up by half a point if such a thing were possible. It isn't.
