There is also a swimming pool, which is nothing special but is nice to have available in the area as the other nearest pool is in the town centre. Because of this, there are a lot of schools that book the public pool during school hours for lessons etc, so it can be quite difficult to get chance to go for a swim during these times. Definately worth planning ahead. The gym in the complex is only a few years old and contains some of the most up-to-date gym equipment in the town. There are also indoor tennis courts, basketball courts and football pitches available for private bookings. All-in-all a very good, well thought out complex that provides a great deal of entertainment and activities for most people.

There are two gyms (general and women only) along with a separate free weight area, and one studio. There are two pools, one of which is outdoors. The cheaper option is the Health and Fitness which is everything except the tennis, and then there is the full membership which does include the tennis. Extras were charged to the wrong rooms, and one of my friends was charged for 4 newspapers after a one night stay. It's sad…read morethe stadium doesn't get filled out for games (or much at all) because the games are fun, the players are great and the crowd is freaking awesome. I was shocked they hadn't drank anything because they are quite the rowdy bunch! No liquor allowed at British football games, such a pity. The stadium has plenty of free parking, serves plenty of non-alcoholic drinks and food plus you can move your seats up if they don't fill up. Tickets are 20 pounds and they have some various upgrade options. It was clear to me that a lot of the crowd was regulars/season pass holders and that ticket will run you 300-700 pounds depending on the type you get. 'Football at the heart of Milton Keynes' is their slogan. I had a fun time and will absolutely go again when I'm in MK.

They destroyed a historic London team just to save the process of having to rise up through the divisions like everyone else does. Disgusting. Great place to watch football though. As a protest against the fact that instead of starting from the lower leagues like everyone else does, the owners of this club stole the team from Wimbledon and destroyed that team's and those fans' history, forever. It should never have been proposed, or allowed. True football fans in the UK will always despise MK Dons because of what the owners did. The "Dons" is the name of the team they stole, by the way. Wimbledon. It has nothing to do with Americanized shiny new Milton Keynes.

I was excited to try the auto-loading tees, but the balls kept getting jammed in the loader. In the end, the system was more annoying than useful. Stay away from bay 18 if you want to try the system. Otherwise, it was 5 or 6 Pounds for nearly 100 balls. Not too shabby, if you ask me. After some time on the range, I hit the 9-hole courses. They courses are advertised as pitch-and-putt, but some of the holes are nearly 200 yards, so if you plan to make par, you'll need some extra clubs. Overall, I was disappointed with the "blue" 9-hole course. For me, these courses are designed for beginners. Using shorter-range clubs there's less possibility for mistakes, and you can work on the all-important short game without the stress of a full-sized course. However, these courses were jammed in here and feature narrow fairways and tiny greens. One of the "fairways" is a series of small rolling hills. Not at all forgiving. I'd probably come back, given its proximity to the hotel we stayed at (Marriott) and ease of access, but convenience is the only reason. Don't be fooled by the website -- this is not a high-quality club.

Although I am yet to play the full course, the two par 3 9 hole courses and the longer Hardingstone course have certainly offered me enough opportunities to improve my game in recent years along with the two practice putting greens, floodlit driving range and pitch and putt course. The prices are cheap and the courses for the most part are well kept. I did play this weekend and, following all of the rain we've had recently the greens were not the best I've seen them at but not an issue for somebody of my standard. The centre also has a golf shop, Costa coffee and restaurant.

Interspersed with 1980s news items like The Archbishop of Canterbury chanting Charles' and Di's wedding vows and Thatcher announcing the invasion of the Falklands (I've been there twice for the day on a cruise ship!). Wonderful. I've also been here for a tour of the 1990s boyband 911 which I also won. The theatre area has a bar and a cafe and there are ashtrays outside the doors so it's easy to have a cigarette. Not very nice looking and in the middle of a concrete jungle but don't let the appearance of the place make you judge the quality of the shows inside.

You can book a meal before you see a show so you have a great night out. The only con to this place as it can be a bit pricy for performances and workshops and you need to book early as places are full early especially pantomime performances with school trips.
