This empathetic customer services employee wanted all the details of my experience. This person cared. They listed to me and noted every detail. They were so empathetic. He assured me this was a problem and I'd be getting another call in a few weeks to update me on their solution. He made me feel like he really cared. This would be resolved, he assured me. A few weeks later I got a form letter in the mail stating: The branch manager can do what ever they want. So U.S. bank doesn't care about your issue. It was almost like they were pranking me, leading me along, pouring some salt in my wound, then...just kidding, we're not going to do anything. U.S. Bank what a joke.

My 10-year-old son has a Smart Saver's account here, and I occasionally deposit freelancing money into it. My name is on the account alongside his, so more than once I've neglected to endorse my checks. The bank has called to tell me as much. No big deal. Then this morning, a woman with the tone of a fed-up schoolmarm called to say, "You forgot to endorse AGAIN and I know we've had this conversation with you more than once. I'll give you ONE MORE CHANCE, then I'm shutting down your access to the ATM." I felt bad for laughing, but as a 36-year-old woman, being scolded like a wayward child--by another grown woman--was one of the strangest things I've ever experienced. I'm still somewhat convinced she was kidding. Maybe she was having a bad day. Maybe she hates her job. But it felt like being on an episode of Punk'd and I can't shake the ick. Aside from that, the tellers and other employees have been lovely. I wish this lady well and hope she's alright. Not sure customer service is for her.

They wrongfully closed my account on July 1st and never sent me mail, email, let alone a call, to notify of me of my savings account getting closed. I was not even arguing or trying to and just trying explain and tell her calmly that my account was wrongfully closed and I have proof I set up e-statements and she got rude and claimed I was trying to argue and hung up, I was going to ask to speak to the manager right before she hung up. Every time I walked in to this bank I felt uneasy.. i had account with them as a kid, but this bank i never seen a black or hispanic worker, nor even a customer who was not black, hispanic, or mixed, It was mainly whites and most likely racist workers. My account was wrongfully closed and I feel she pulled the "I was trying to argue, when I was trying explain calmly" under racial circumstances. Do not bank with them! save yourself the hassle!
