The Moose is Inn is a hidden gem. A small bed and breakfast that is the perfect stay if you'll be halibut fishing out of Ninilchik and not too far from Homer. Very new accommodations. Very friendly hosts. Great spread for breakfast with a large common area. The rooms are spacious and kid friendly with both Roku/Netflix and satellite television for the kids when they tire of running around. Additionally, the family runs a commercial fishing operation and invites you to watch them process the catch during the season. For someone from the lower 48, it's quite impressive. I'll definitely be back. read more

Specialties

We are a locally owner and operated bed and breakfast that provide a family friendly atmosphere. We also help process fish (fillet, vac pack and freeze) for our guests and run a commercial fishing operation in the summer where guests are able to purchase wild Alaska salmon right from us.

History

Established in 2007.

We opened as a bed and breakfast in 2007 with 4 bedroom all with private bathroom. Since our opening we have upgraded some of our appliances, painted and changed the kitchen flooring.

Meet the Business Owner: Heidi W.

Heidi is a full time mother of 6 (half of them out of the house now) who also runs a commercial fishing operation in the summer along with her bnb. She is very family oriented and does her best to accommodate her guest so they feel at home.
