This program changed our child's life. His teachers couldn't identify the problem and let my son struggle year after year. Hearing Dr. Conway speak (or, for you, watching his Ted Talk) was enough to convince me his evidence-based method could help my son overcome his speach issues and dyslexia. I'm so grateful. 22 years ago my daughter ( age 7 at the time) was remediated for dyslexia, add and dysgraphia at the Morris Center! On the way home she said "Thank you, Mommy!" I asked her if the Morris Center had helped. She replied, " Oh, yes! Before the Morris Center, my mind was mush!" She is now a successful manager with a leading retail company, haa an MBA and owns her own home at age 29! I strongly recommend the Morris Center to all parents whose children struggle with reading. It is worth every penny! read more

The Morris Center is very much like our special brain training, the Kurtz Center for Cognitive Development in Maitland/Winter Park, which ran from 1986 through 2006. As with our Center, Morris Center has spectacular results, because of the extraordinary approaches individualized to each person's needs and due to the intensity of the clinical treatment/instruction. read more

The Morris Center was founded in 1986 to provide comprehensive treatment to students with learning differences, disabilities & difficulties. We serve Ocala, Gainesville to Orlando children, adults & families. A team of speech language pathologists, clinical psychologists, occupational therapists & academic tutors aim for life changing results in 4-6 months. An evidence-based treatment program is backed by studies from Florida State University & the University of Florida. We improve language-based skills, reading, spelling, writing, math, speaking & comprehension. The Morris Center offers ADHD & dyslexia diagnosis, tutoring & therapy designed for all ages. History

Established in 1986.

Founded by Developmental Behavioral Pediatrician Dr. Ann Alexander, and currently owned and operated by Dr. Tim Conway, The Morris Center has over 27 years of experience - including helping conduct and publish NIH funded research proving the efficacy of portions of The Morris Center's treatment program. The Morris Center's research and clinical data repeatedly support the success of the intensive, transdisciplinary treatment model. Equally important, the treatment outcomes are robust and typically long-term with little to no long-term follow-up required. The Morris Center is an all-inclusive neurodevelopmental treatment and assessment center. We help improve skills of children and adults who have difficulty with school or job success, e.g. poor reading, spelling, comprehension, writing, speech, math, sensory processing attention, behavior or social skills.

Meet the Business Owner: Tim C.

Dr. Conway is the Administrative Director of The Morris Center, an interdisciplinary assessment and treatment clinic for children and adults with learning, sensory and motor processing, attention and behavior problems. There are currently two The Morris Center clinics - Gainesville and Ocala, Florida. He is also a founding member and President of the Board of Directors of The Einstein School in Gainesville, Florida, a free tuition public charter school that provides empirically based education for children with developmental dyslexia in grades 2 through 8. His research interests and professional research publications focus on prevention and treatment of dyslexia, stroke rehabilitation (acquired reading problems), functional neuroimaging (stroke rehabilitation) and developmental and acquired learning disorders among children and adults.
