After nurses took her temperature (100.5) and swabbed her for COVID and RSV, we were placed in a room and utterly abandoned for three hours. During those three hours, not a single nurse or doctor came in to check on her, provide fever reducers, or give us an update. The only person who managed to walk through our door was registration--proving that collecting payment was a higher priority for this hospital than monitoring a sick child. I fully understand how triage works, but leaving a child in a room with zero clinical check-ins is medical neglect, not triaging. The only reason this review isn't a zero is Dr. O'Toole. When he finally came in after three hours, he was phenomenal. He took the situation seriously, immediately ordered the nurses to re-check her temperature, and went to strictly address the staff's failure to monitor her. By that time, her fever had spiked to a dangerous 102.7. It was only after Dr. O'Toole intervened and reprimanded the staff that the nurses finally started acting like they cared and administered medication. Dr. O'Toole is the only competent asset this hospital has going for them. The nursing staff and administrative process failed my daughter completely.

So prednisone should NOT have been given to him and now from the antibiotics his pee is almost orange!!! We're going to his regular doctor now to see the cause for this change in color. Found out this antibiotic can cause liver damage!!!! No one said a word!! Hope we don't have to call a lawyer!!! If you value your life DONT GO THERE!!!! Plus the doctor there is hooked on prednisone for her asthma!!!

And, for a non-major metropolitan area, they can get busy as any Trauma One facility. I believe the ER is Four Stars, while the hospital itself rates only Two Stars. She should take Patsy's job on the 6th floor in Surgical. That witch needs to be fired. She is awful. She is a horrible nurse. She is uncaring, nasty, rude, awful and hasty. She doesn't care about anything but herself and everyone and I mean EVERYONE walks on eggshells when she is working on the shift. I had to stay there four days and I heard an ear full. That woman needs to be working at a jail. Even her co-workers likened her to a "an army drill Sargent" Sadly, that's not funny. When someone is very sick, they do not need a nurse throwing a fit in a room and tearing of her gown and cussing under her breath and whispering and then ignoring you for the next two shifts. I never got socks (I had to wear my own for two days). I never got water. NEVER. I never got the aloe wipes... How do I know about them? Well, the very last day, I actually got a nurse: Linda that gave a crap about people. Within minutes of her shift, she came in and brought me hot coffee, WATER (something you need to live), socks, fresh bedding, aloe wipes to replace mine --- and that's when I told her that I had never received anything like that at all! What, did Pissy Patsy take it home? She is an awful person. I am going to report the old bag. It's sad when I am being transported to my CT and the person who is transporting me sees Pissy Patsy and says, "Ugh... I hate coming to this floor..." Um YEAH, TRY BEING HER PATIENT It was hell. She never brought my meds. She never asked if I needed anything. When I would call for something, she would say in a really rude voice, "Can I help you... or you probably need something..." She was so extremely rude. I don't ever want to have to deal with that awful woman again and I will tell everyone! In addition, there was Jim, the Charge Nurse that I told all of this to and he was supposed to stop her from being my nurse and guess what: She was my nurse the very next day! Let me tell you, JIM, this was hell! Not only did I have MRSA and have had this for over a year and this is my 47th boil, but your staff made it a miserable experience. I can gladly spend my $60,000 elsewhere. I told you, get rid of the negative trash in your department because she will infect everyone. One negative person does that... You choose to let that happen, that is on you, but how many patients can't speak? How many people is she rude to? How many people go without water? How many people go without socks for their feet and have to walk on that nasty ass floor? Really?

Waiting room management is poor. No separate space for potential spread of illness ie. 'coughing'…read moreas opposed to other urgent medical needs. Have masks, but don't put in waiting room for access and don't encourage or enforce use for basic germ management with waiting room patients - leaving potential for conflict when patients interact for self protection. During this visit, coughing child had no mask, ran all over waiting room, touching all items as mother stated 'you're getting your germs all over everything' as she engaged more with her phone than the child. Staff acknowledged it and did NOTHING to ensure safety of ALL their clients. When calling new patients for service (just standing at door) they donned a mask.
