Matthew represented me in a family hearing in San Diego County and unfortunately there were a lot he should have done as my lawyer that he failed to do. My sons mother took my child to Mexico for several years and lied about it and when she was caught with the lie Matthew did nothing to emphasize that she was lying and as a result she was allowed to keep my son. When it comes to money he and his law firm are very adamant to receive it which shows that either they are short on money or looking for a come up. The explanation to that is that there was paperwork that was meant to be submitted to the court that could have helped my whole case and under his recommendation I had to fly from New York to California to appear in court to help my case. Unfortunately the documentation was never submitted by the firm and instead of refunding me as I requested as it costed a lot of money to pay for the documentation, it was at least 1000 dollars, they instead said they can resubmit it but I'll have to come another day. I have two other kids with me and I can't be flying from nyc to California constantly. I also at the time attended school. If I was you I wouldn't recommend him especially for a family law case. read more

Through negligence, Mr. Morris botched my friends case extremely bad. After that, I didn't feel comfortable with him representing me, so I called and spoke to him asking for my money back. He said "Yeah that case didn't go how I wanted it to." He said he understood and would return my money within 2 weeks. After more that 6 months of continuously being given the run around by the person (Bianca) that answers his phone I am writing this review in hopes of saving someone else the headache of not only having to deal with at this point what I would call a thief but also an attorney who doesnt communicate about court dates, sets meetings where he doesn't even show up or cancel (and you have driven an hour to be at). When he actually shows up for court its not knowing your case. An office that doesn't answer calls, ect.... which is how he treated my friend. As an attorney this is unacceptable behavior, and he should be ashamed and embarrassed to call himself a man of God and go to church on Sundays. read more

My wife and I were was arrested without any probable cause and the sheriff harassed my wife and kept me behind bars for 3 days on a bogus domestic violence charge while my wife was charged with public intoxication. I attempted to hire this law firm and spoke to Mr. Morris. He mentioned a payment plan and I asked for an official contract. What I received was an intake form asking for my personal information. I followed up on it and it seems the receptionist had no clue who I was, but she asked for a down payment that was not the same as the payment plan Mr. Morris had mentioned. The receptionist seemed like she did not care about my situation and that I needed an attorney, you could hear the desperation in my voice, but it made no difference to her. My situation has been extremely emotionally draining where I need an attorney to step in and defend me. It's all so overwhelming and scary. The receptionist claimed that Mr. Morris would get back to me and he never did. I followed up 2 more times, nobody contacted me back. I ended up crying over this because I said to myself initially that I had a good feeling about Mr. Morris and that I did want him to represent me. Just highly disappointed because it's very difficult to find an attorney and put in the work to reach out and return calls and to find a retainer fee that works.
