The Mount Guest House is a wonderful place to stay in Audenshaw, just on the outskirts of Manchester. There are many wonderful old buildings and parks as well as shops and pubs within a reasonable walking distance including train and bus stops. These are extremely helpful as Manchester taxis seem to think they can charge London fares. :p I suggest if you don't have your own vehicle use the bus and for £4 ride all day on any bus to any destination. As for the inn itself, it is just a wonderful place on all accounts. The staff are polite, courteous, go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need and even more amazing they always call you by your first name! The rooms are clean, the beds comfortable and the complimentary tea and coffee tray never runs out. The bathrooms are regularly cleaned as well and the water pressure from the showers is amazing. For an extra £5 per day you can get breakfast included and I recommend you do. Their Full Breakfast is THE way to start your day. The only downside here is that I have to leave but I will definitely be back next year! read more
